This shop specializes in its Block of the month and Aboriginal fabrics. It has a great assortment of blenders. There are a good collection of wool felt and embroidery supplies,They have a nice assortment of garment fabric as well. Many kits are available. While this store has a smallish footprint it has an extremely well chosen selection of products. I know nothing about sewing, aside from watching m grandmother for hours at a time as a kid. My granddaughter has taken an interest and when it came birthday time she requested some material and basic sewing supplies. I called down to Sew Creative, explained the situation, and asked if they could help me out. "C'mon down!" they said, and I did. They were very helpful in getting me exactly what my granddaughter was after. They have a lot to choose from and were very generous with their time. Highly recommended! read more

They have a great selection, and the customer service was excellent. I stopped in to check out the store before heading to the theater to see a performance at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. The fabrics they carry are beautiful. I ended up buying 3 yards I needed to finish a quilt I'm working on. I wish they were in my town. I contacted Sew Creative on Wednesday evening, through their website, asking how to go about getting fabric for a baby quilt for my first grandchild. I didn't expect a response back until Thursday at the earliest. Karen sent me an email on Wednesday with encouragement that they would be able to help me and gave me instructions how to go about getting what I wanted. I talked to Mary on Thursday morning, talked about my fabric choices, I gave her my CC info and she gave instructions about when to pick my fabric up and how. During the "Stay at home order" we have to do things much differently. I kept thinking that I would have rather picked the fabric out myself. Mary called me back with a question about my backing for the quilt. I hadn't thought that far ahead. She described a fabric to me she thought would be cute, and we decided on the amount I needed and she added it to my order. I picked my order up, hopped into my car and raced home as fast as possible so that I could see what I had. It was like Christmas in April!! It is perfect. The backing is going to make the quilt if the top doesn't. I've always considered Sew Creative the best quilt store in Southern Oregon. To be honest, I don't go to any other quilt store in Southern Oregon because they ARE the best. Getting the perfect quilt fabric and doing everything over the phone and email.?.?.?. AMAZING!!!!!!! When Nina and I were in Ashland in September I noticed this quilt store had opened where Allyson's had been. I intended to stop in, particularly during the sidewalk sale, but didn't get around to it. Today, as Alan and I were leaving town on the way home we stopped so I could check it out. I was wanting to look for a quilt for my brother Jim's newest granddaughter. I asked and they had a darling one available for a reasonable price. The store has been open since July and is sort of flying under the radar. Until I found the sales receipt w/ the store's name on it I couldn't find it via Google or DuckDuckGo, much less Yelp. The store is clean and well stocked. There are lovely fabrics and patterns for those who want to make their own quilts. There was a very attractive purse-type bag that was very tempting, but I resisted because it was larger than what I currently carry and I know I would fill it up w/ stuff and it would be too heavy. There were a few other customers in the store, all more serious seamstresses than I. The women who staff the store, both owners, are friendly and helpful. They gave me a children's craft book one of them had written, which was a lovely thing to do. It's the newest of three or four quilt shops in Ashland. They accept Visa and Mastercard. They offer classes, per their website. I wish them well. read more

Made an appointment. They let me in 5 minutes after my appointment. No problem. I sanitized my hands and had my mask firmly and properly in place. As I was making selections, I noticed the owner watching me closely and finally asked me to leave saying I was past my allotted time and needed to let others shop. I was horrified and apologetic. I looked at my watch to then realize that I'd been in the shop for only 15 minute. In a fabric store where shoppers can take up to an hour to buy what they need. I looked up and there were only 2 others shopping in the store and no one was waiting at the door. This was my 3rd time in the shop in a week in which I'd spent literally hundreds of dollars. In all the times, they had never mentioned a time limit, had let in up to 6 people and didn't ask the others to leave who had been in the store before me. As an Asian American my only conclusion was I was being discriminated against. The materials are indeed high quality and one staff member was lovely. As a small local business owner, I know how important word of mouth and reputation is so I reached out to give them an opportunity to respond to my concerns. I never heard back from them. read more

I found the store clean and well-lit. The people working were friendly and able to answer my questions on stock and the patterns. The bathroom was clean. I liked the shop samples, well-done and inspiring. The highlight of the fabric selection were the designs from Australia, which are getting harder to find. Turns out the store runs an e-mail list just for that fabric and purports to get new bolts of it every month. They carry Presencia thread, which is my favorite brand. read more

What a wonderful, creative store! A quilter's dream, with beautiful fabrics and some unusual things, such as barkcloth. Great imports, batiks, African and Australian prints, and quilt designs. I come here for good quality 100% cotton and flannel to make Days for Girls menstrual kits for African teens to keep them in school. They are very generous, discounting regular prices for our project. The staff is knowledgable and very helpful. Love this store! read more

I love this quilt store! Several "quilt" stores in my area lean towards sewing machine sales and skimp on the fabric and quilt pattern ideas. Sew Creative has tons of cotton fabrics, and many patterns and notions. The projects hanging on the walls are inspirational - quilts, clothing, tote bags, etc. I signed up for their emailed newsletter two years ago when I was here, and I've purchased some special fabrics by mail. I wish I lived near enough to take a class! I will certainly visit again! read more

I was so impressed by the quilts displayed, that when I came home I signed up for one of their blocks of the month.
