Jeans are in good/great condition and found a few designer brands. The prices are similar to Poshmark or ebay. Macy's & designer branded Jeans for $9-$15 is a deal! It's a consignment store NOT a thrift store; selection is based on the population selling their stuff. That being said, there are still some great finds for the under 40yr crowd. A LOT of jeans sizes 0-6. A decent selection for jeans size 6-14 and several racks for "plus sizes". Not a great variety of men's clothing. It's there, but slim pickin's. It's worth a visit just to check out the constantly changing inventory; new arrivals on the front racks. Deja Vu Rocks! The clothes they consign are good quality and the selection is vast; including shoes, and jewelry. Since I found this shoppe, it's a blue moon occasion if I buy clothes elsewhere. 75% of my closet is from Deja Vu. The staff is friendly. I could spend way too many hours there, and spend more money than I should, so I tend to shop in the hour before they close for the day. Lastly, it seems if you bring a lot of items in to consign, they will only take a couple. Even if you are bringing quality items. If you bring 5 items or less you probably won't have to take them back with you. But on second thought, maybe the last hour of the day just isn't the best time for the girls to focus on accepting consignment pieces, and are focused on end-of-the-day tasks.. to be fair. The owner is rude. I was yelled at for bringing in a water bottle, even before I could ask if I could leave it by the front desk. This isn't a unique experience, as there is another review on Reddit with about 50 comments saying the same thing about the owner (bald white man). Also, I saw a two piece Shein set selling for $14, then it was 10 on Shein. I used to love this store but now I feel uncomfortable every time I go on. We are from Reno Nevada and we saw the thrift store and we were excited to go in and check out what they had but then we were very disappointed to know that I'm guessing it was the owner I reached over to look just to touch and feel the sweater that I really liked and she yelled at me and said oh you can't pull that you can't see that that's not for sale until tomorrow I feel like that was really rid of her to do that was an item that she could possibly sold today and not put on sale for the next day like she said if she would have it available I felt unwelcome I feel like putting all the stuff that I had down and just walk out and said thank you you bet I would never go back to this place read more

This store has a huge selection of pre-owned clothing for great prices. Yesterday, I purchased 9 items, including some name brands, for $45 (20% off sale was running). The prices are very low, which is great for consumers. I bought a purse for $3 that I would have paid $10 or more for at a consignment store. So I have to assume that the business model is based on volume, and the rock-bottom prices ensure that inventory moves quickly. Because of this, however, consigners get the short end of the stick. I brought in sterling silver jewelry worth at least $500. I got $50 for all of it. When I went to get the money I was told I could get half then but I'd have to come back another day for the other half because "we have to pay our other consigners." That policy was probably spelled out in the fine print when I consigned, but it doesn't make the practice any less distasteful. I had come in that day with a bag of shoes and an expensive leather tote bag to consign, but decided to give the items to Goodwill instead. I'd rather donate to charity than to a business that takes advantage of its suppliers. read more

This store runs hot & cold. My best suggestion is to check your personal stress level BEFORE you go there! Owners -- husband & wife -- seem to play good cop/bad cop. See them at a shop across the center and the wife will remember if she's seen you in their store, then fawn all over you at the store. At the shop, the hubby will be cranky when you have to deal with him. Consignment policies are inconsistent and if you do consign, be prepared to get rejected on perfectly good clothing. Then you won't get much for your pieces either, and you can't cash in all at once. The latter point has some merit in protecting their cash flow, but people need to be very clear on this, and their attitude needs to be better. Staff runs hot and cold, too. I've been there when I was treated stupidly by some immature clerk. (Immaturity comes in all ages!) And there are also times when staff has been perfectly friendly and helpful. Merchandise is the key for me, but the last few times I've been there, I've found few things I was interested in. Quality seems to have slipped, but they reject some high garment garments I brought it ... ?!? Some of those who review clothing to be consigned are poorly educated in the garment industry. So, all in all, this place that once had a 4.5-star review from me, now is only OK/3-stars. Take your chances ... you never know what you'll encounter there. And make no mistake this is not an attractive store to shop in, and it is not easy for those who have difficulty standing on concrete for long periods. Some of the dressing rooms have stools to sit on, some don't. The seats at the front of the store are for trying shoes, which makes sense, but even if no one is looking you may have some impertinent staffer come tell you that you can't sit there. I told one such person that I would be more than happy to move the minute a shoe-shopper came near. The attitude/facial expression was NOT pleasant, but I held to my word. :-( read more

I do shop here, and am always pretty annoyed, but obviously I have found enough good things to keep me coming back. I have sold and bought clothes all over the west coast and have never, ever not been told how much my items were going to be consigned for. It seems like this store is hoping to just be one stop before taking things to goodwill, that I should not care how much I might get if it should ever sell, the only thing I get to know is the total credit I have, and not even which items sold. Feels very ripe for ripping people off, I do not sell there anymore. The quality of clothing wildly varies, some really nice things to things that should have been thrown away. Very crowded racks, crappy hangers, make trying to shop kind of annoying. There is almost always a 20 minute wait at the counter. No kidding. So annoying. read more

I don't recommend Deja Vu Consignment Boutique due to the maltreatment I experienced on Wednesday, February 1, 2023. I went into the store with my 3 year old child who has autism and a man who is a worker there told me that my child was being too loud. I informed the man that my child has autism and he was just happy about getting a new toy. He told me that if I couldn't "control my child" that I would have to leave the store because he was disrupting his clients. Mind you my child was not throwing a tantrum, he was not being disruptive, he was simply expressing how happy he was about a toy I had bought him. This happened very early in the day and there were only 2 other people aside from myself, my child, and my mom. I have been in that store with my 3 kids and nothing has been said to me before. I am very disappointed in the attitude and discrimination that was taken against an innocent child. I will not be shopping there again. read more

I almost hate to review this shop because I've purchased some great pieces at unbelievably low prices, and would like to keep the news to myself. The last time I visited Deja Vu I'd purchased an adorable, like new, BCBG long lace, black skirt for $12 and a pair of contemporary black suede boots in like new condition for $15!! Some of the other clothing lines they carry are Michael Stars, Laundry, Abercrombie and Fitch, Three Dots, Forever 21 and The Gap. Not exactly high end, but they did have some pieces that worked nicely with my wardrobe. They also had a rack of gently used and new designer jeans such as Paper, Denim and Cloth, Seven Jeans, Hudson's etc. which sold at $45.00+. I must let you know that their sales staff were very accessible and helpful. One of the salesgirls, Jenny Dale was sweet enough to wade through the entire rack of designer jeans to find me the perfect pair. Service with a smile. ;-) 4.9.10 UPDATE - They've moved to the other end of the outdoor mall, and their new locale is so huge that they carry much more clothing, shoes, jewelry & accessories! I went here for years. Always seemed to find something amazing every trip - when more often than not I walk out of clothing stores empty handed!! So naturally, it was one of my favourite places. It's also extremely affordable. When selling, Deja Vu always took a decent amount of my clothes for re-sale, leaving me with a nice balance every time I went in! I mean, who doesn't love trading in all their old clothes they don't wear anymore, for new ones?! Not to mention, the staff have always been friendly and respectful. There are plenty of dressing rooms, and a large selection that is organized by colour. The icing on the cake is when I dropped off totes full of clothes and let them know that I was moving to a different country. The staff called the owner, and within 3 minutes came and found me, informing me that they could mail a check in a few months (after everything sold) as long as I brought in a pre-addressed envelope for them. Well, those months passed, and I forgot. And sure enough - Deja Vu was on it - I got that check in the mail just last week w/ my consignment balance. I'm so grateful they were willing to accommodate my situation without a second thought, and even remembered my unusual circumstance months later when I had forgotten. I lived right next to this place for a whole year and never had an intrest in going. Their aisles were so overpacked I could never keep the motivation to go through all of them. I get that you are trying to keep your business up and running but it was just too much. Way too much. I did manage to find one pretty sweet pair of white cowboy boots for 15 bucks. I am a person who is constantly up on the trends and what is happening in the fashion industry. The clothes that they sell...I have to be honest are dated. A lot of the clothes are generally what you can find in a department store, so nothing too unique. Not saying I am expecting much from a consignment store as they only take things that are up to 2 years old. However, it seems like most of these items they sell are not very trendy and not very fashionable to say the least. The shoes as well are very worn. Though I have a fear of wearing worn shoes (foot fungus and all). Not a place to really shop if your looking for high end designer or fashionable clothing. Good for basics however as they have tons of that. read more

I used to come here all the time and loved it, but the owner and her responses to feedback have made me change my mind. I have repeatedly asked her if they would ever do any weekend specials on shoes or anything, because they often release new shoes during the week on Wednesdays and Thursdays when anyone that works a full-time job can't come in and take advantage of their new shoes they put out on these days. The problem is the owner repeatedly gets defensive. She will delete comments on Facebook that she doesn't like, others have said that she will tear up their comments they leave at the store right in front of them without even reading them. It's very sad, are used to love going here but I'm going to be taking my business elsewhere. Don't own a business in a small town and then blatantly disregard requests from loyal customers. They also take 60% of the selling price for your clothes, so you get hardly anything for your nice stuff. I will be using Poshmark from now on. read more

I have not found a similar store since moving away from town. Deja Vu has gone downhill. It's always a scavenger hunt to find something lightly worn and in style, but occasionally, you make a score and it keeps you coming back. I tend to buy and wear higher quality clothing and it just doesn't make sense to consign those labels with this store. As mentioned previously, it is barely above a thrift store, the lines are long, the racks crowded and poorly organized. One of the best shops in Ashland. What an undertaking to accept so many items, then tag and display them. And a real positive to approach to 'recycle/reuse'. I love this place!!! I can afford to buy new, but I always go to Deja Vu first.
