Those of us who fish know there is a certain type of proprietor that runs these businesses. The could be called The Fly Fishing Snob; unfortunately, not a rare breed. They are masters of crass, subtly indignant interactions with customers. They attempt to vaguely mask their censorious attitudes with false congeniality, but eventually their true motivation peeks through: to make the customer out to be a neophyte, even when all they asked was for a good place to fish. I want to be clear. This guy is probably a very knowledgeable person and could even be a nice person. I know I was being friendly and truly attempted to have a good interaction. My comments are based of undeniably picking up on his righteous attitude. Maybe he was just having a bad day. Otherwise looked like a quality shop.
