It became necessary for me to send this responding email to Napleton GMC. It is long but self-explanatory. However, in all fairness, the Service Department is still pretty good for professional service. Hello. The last time I was there, which had to be almost 6 months ago, I had been in contact with several of your colleagues regarding this vehicle. At that time I expressed my desire to trade in my 2019 Acadia toward a new 2024 model. The only caveat was that I wanted to place a factory order. I wanted to place the order, as I have done for 3 previous GMC Acadias over the years, because I did not want a vehicle that did not have specific equipment or options/packages. Over the many years of owning that model, ordering had never been an issue, either with Rogers or other area GMC dealerships. When I arrived as agreed to have my 2019 Acadia serviced, the understanding was one of your colleagues would meet with me to discuss placing the order. That individual did not make herself available as agreed. So, I asked to speak with a salesperson. I was eventually introduced to a salesman to whom I had to explain from the beginning what I wished to do and the verbal understanding that was made over the phone/online. I explained that a search had already been conducted and the exact equipment/options packages I requested was not among the current builds anywhere, even in the region. He ignored what I explained to him and insisted that I go through the extensive list of options /equipment packages again so HE could search. After some time he realized my search results were accurate. But, instead of helping me initiate a factory order to complete a potential deal involving my trade-in, he said "I need to speak to the manager", the typical dodge to waste my time and perhaps get me to change my mind and buy a vehicle already on order or in your inventory. When he returned, after more than 20 minutes, he was accompanied by his "manager" and asked what I wanted to do, I repeated my desire to place a factory order. The response was to the affect: "We aren't taking any factory orders at this time because we exceeded our allotment." I doubt that was true, but the salesmen clearly were no longer interested in my business and blew me off by saying "I'll call you when we can place your order." I made the mistake of taking him at his word, waiting for months without so much as a call or email. My takeaway from this: I've purchased several vehicles from your organization when you were "Rogers GMC", along with members of my immediate and extended families because of the service, expertise, professionalism, and courtesy. Since Napleton took control, the sale staff are unprofessional, untrustworthy, selective in how they treat certain customers -especially seniors, and they are rude and disrespectful. It would stand to reason that if you are in contact with a multi-repeat customer who is sending other business your way, you contact him to make a deal over a used vehicle that you want so he can buy another new one from you, and you know he's done this in the past several times with your predecessor, that you might address and interact with him with a little more deference. That being said, obviously you guys don't have a clue. So, I will now have to wait for another model year to place my factory order with another dealership, hopefully one that is more professional. In that spirit, please stop sending me offers or requests that don't mean anything. Bait and switch is an old and tired game. And all Black folks don't go along with being talked down to -especially seniors, when it's clear in tone, wording and mannerisms that you don't respect us or care about our buying power. Service here has been consistent for a few years I have been bring in my in-law's car. I tried bring in the car without a appointment and with for basic oil change. Both takes 2-3 hours wait to do a 15min change. The waiting room consist of chairs not 6 ft apart but 1 feet during these Corvid days. I would wait outside. Customer Service is decent and they would text you when your car is ready to be checked out. They are not that good on informing you on what you might need to keep an eye on your car but most of time I don't believe them either. They love to upsell you on stuff but most of time, I think I know what is best for my car and my pocket. The best thing I like about Rogers, is the location. read more

I brought my car in back in November for service, I was told that I'd need to wait on parts, it's now March and I still don't have my car. Tried to call the service center to get an update and I've gotten nothing but a run around. I've been given extension numbers that don't work. Voice mailboxes that are full and can't leave a message. Well, 1st I made an appointment 2 months before my coming. Upon arrival I still had to wait in an extremely long line my appointment was for 930. I got there at 9 l. It took them 4 hours to do an oil change. Not to mention I bought an oil change package last year for $179 Which includes 3 oil changes within 24 months. I only had one oil change and they're explaining that they do not honor that package anymore because they are no longer Roger's Hyundai. I ended up paying an extra $87 for an oil change that I wasn't prepared for. I am imploring any and all customers, DO NOT shop for a used vehicle from Rogers Auto Group Chicago. This company does not value customer service and they are not a company that honerably stands behind their Certified vehicles and will sell you an illegitimate auto warranty. They failed to disclose all history of the vehicle and did not include the original sell date on my used vehicle and they falsely mislead me to purchase an overpriced extended warranty that expired well under the 60 month/100k miles I was told I was purchasing by my sales representative and the finance manager.  I requested authorization on 8/9/2022 on my Auto Guard warranty contract purchased from Rogers on 02/25/2019 for my GMC Certified vehicle. I was told my coverage had expired in Jan. 2021. The repair cost exceeded $1700. I presented my warranty to service and the finance manager. I explained i purchased this GMC Certified vehicle and was told by my car salesman and the finance manager that i was buying coverage for 5 years (60 months) or 100,000 Miles under the Ultimate plan. It was never indicated to me that coverage would be for less than 2 years anywhere on the service contract. My signed contract (see attached) does not indicate the warranty would end on 01/19/2019, nor did it have the Original In-service date of 01/19/2016 (as required) to indicate the warranty would end on a date less than purchased. In fact, I was never told the original in-service date of the vehicle at all, neither verbally nor in writing on my contract. This non-disclosure is pure deception. I was made aware of this information at this service request. I was told I was purchasing an extended warranty that would cover my Certified vehicle from the date of my purchase on 2/25/2019. GMC CPO automatically provides vehicles w/a 12 mo./12000 mile warranty. That would cover my car until 2/25/20. My vehicle had only 14480 mi. at time of purchase. I wouldn't have purchased a warranty only covering my vehicle from 2/25/20 to 01/19/21. That's less than 2 years from purchase and less than a year from the CPO warranty coverage end. Essentially a 10 month warranty. I was vamboozled. I'm a military disabled veteran that works with National Guard soldiers, their families and veterans. I depend on a reliable vehicle to perform my job. I help and meet with hundreds of military & families a year; driving miles to help them with community resources. I would never have been driving a vehicle without some warranty protection since January 2021. I rely on my car. Currently, I only have 66,000 miles on my vehicle. My original warrantry contract states 60 months/100,000 miles. My contract does not indicate an original-in-service date nor that the warranty would end less than the written 60Months/100000 miles. (See attached) Not only did i have to go back and forth with Rogers finance manager over this discrepancy, i was without a vehicle for over a week, before they finally told me NO.  The contract shown to me by their finance department does not match my originally signed warranty contract. More deception. All I got was, "Sorry" and an offer to only take off $400 of the repair cost. Rogers would not even match a lower repair cost of another auto shop. Despite all of this, i was frustrated and i had been without my vehicle for over a week already. I authorized Rogers service to proceed with repairs, because i could no longer rent and borrow a friends vehicle. The service department then failed to keep me updated on the vehicle status & parts which meant more delay. Finally, i had enough. I retrieved my vehicle from Rogers after 11 days, even though i had to pay for the diagnostic, and took it to another repair shop and it was fixed in only 3 days at a cheaper price. Again beware,  Rogers Auto Group does not stand behind their warranty contracts. The sales department and finance department at Rogers deceptively sold me the warranty without proper disclosure and failed to make it right. I purchased in good faith and I would have not purchased a warranty that would only provide me coverage for less than 2 years. I purchased the contract for the life of my car loan. I keep my cars and this is my third GMC made vehicle. I  have been a faithful customer to Rogers Buick/GMC and serviced my cars with your company regularly. In fact,  I'm still paying on this less than 2 year warranty since It was added into my financing which actually increased my payment. I also traded my Buick Enclave in with this purchase. Saying I'm dissatisfied with this betrayal of customer trust is an understatment. I am imploring any  customers not to shop for a used vehicle from Rogers Auto and definitely do not purchase or trust their extended warranties. They have lost this customer. read more

In the past years, I purchase two pre-owned vehicles from Rogers Auto Group and it was a great experience. This place has changed over the years and is not the same. However, one of my vehicles was a luxury SUV. I had a 2nd luxury car in mind, so I decide to make an appointment with Rogers Auto Group. As we arrive, I was greeted by Rafael as he introduced himself and I told him what type of car I was looking for. Rafeal writes down the information and comes back with Wally Doleh (sale manager). Wally Doleh (Sale Manager) just jumps into dealing talking was very loud, rude, and judge mental about the luxury car that I wanted and gave his opinions when no one never ask him. I felt stereotype, because I was African American. He assume, I was unqualified to drive this particularly luxury car. Talking business to us all out in the opening among another customers that was sitting ahead of us. 1st off, Wally just assume that I was unqualified for this car. Furthermore, he never ask if I was doing a trade-in or anything. Etc Talking about what he does every day, his ins and out of his job as a sales man. At this point who really care! it was irrelevant. Wally was soooooo unprofessional! Futhermore, Wally customer service was HORRIBLE! Rogers Auto Group need to send you back to school to take a customer service class. Please listen to the reviews. I walked in on a Monday and was told that they were busy,so I booked an 8am appt for Tuesday. Dropped off at 8 am Tuesday,received a call at 2:30 that they wouldn't get to my car until the next day. Why make an appt if the time is not honored? In total It took them 29 hours to identify a fault that I had already diagnosed and told them about. Local mechanic quoted $650,they quoted $2000. Do not take your car here. This place does not consider your time. They will charge you $200 just to "inspect" your car and communicate horribly. read more

Don't go- alternative maintenance place listed below. I bought a car from them cause I was new to the city and in a time crunch, needing a car to commute to work. It wasn't a good experience, though I think that's what we all expect from car dealerships. They try to upsell and are very shady about pricing. They try to take advantage of people by trying to make it sound like you're getting a good deal with low monthly payments even though overall you'd be gouged in interest and be paying off the car for years like a house mortgage. They really try to prey on people they think don't know anything about buying or maintaining a car. I dropped my car off for 15k routine maintenance (oil change, tire rotation, climate air filter change) and when asked was quoted on the phone that the oil change and tire rotation would be $90. Not the best pricing but that's fine cause I didn't wanna spend time looking elsewhere. I get charged $250 for those services, (in no world is a climate air filter change bringing the charge to $250) I think they added something, which would be unauthorized work on my vehicle. I left a voicemail with the manger, emailed the manager as well, and texted back the person who texted me the day of service asking about the charge. No responses expect a request to fill out a survey. Really infuriating. Going to file a petition in small claims court and report them to the Better Business Bureau and every auto association I can find. If you're looking for maintenance, check out Chinatown Classic Auto Repair (773) 847-9828 (no affiliation). They speak English and when I asked for a quote for maintenance for my 2019 Hyundai 15k, the guy said there's not much work that needs to be done and gave me advice on how I can do some stuff myself for cheap- THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED TO LOOK FOR. Recently purchased my 3rd vehicle from Rogers Auto. The dealership is great. You get in and out fairly quickly and the inventory is sizable. That said... I recommend one particular salesman if you want a guy who is going to 1) listen to your wants and needs 2) find the car/truck that matches those wants and needs 3) clearly explain the financials and 4) work the deal with you. Allen Washington. Allen earned my business deal one. I wasn't even his customer initially but I walked away from that deal knowing that I would buy my next car from him. I liked how straight forward he was about financing (this is what you can and can't do right now) and how positive he was about my future. "Come see me in 6 months," he said referring to my credit score. I will never forget that. 3 deals later, I have traded up to the 2 vehicles my husband and I wished for years ago. I've had 3 different cars/trucks serviced and purchased at this dealership. Its always a nightmare and chaos. When it comes to dropping your car off in the service depart with or without an appointment it takes forever. Just last week I was sick and waited over a hour and a half. I told 3 different people my issues and received my car back. It broke down 20 minutes later. I bought this car from the their dealership 4 years ago and the transmission is already out. I never can get an update without calling several times. I try to reach management and their overloaded. I usually had to use their services because I had an hybrid and mAmy mechanics do not know how to service. I'm will make sure I go to a different dealership this time around. I give AAGI one star for the abysmal way that they have handled my gap insurance claim. I have haggling with them for over 2 months and they are still "reviewing my case". Avoid this place!! I've had multiple Chevy vehicles from different dealers and never had issues like I've had with Rogers. Decided to buy a 'New' Malibu in 2016 from Rogers and I've had nothing but issues. From 'Check engine lights' and codes about my transmission as well as 'braking issues'. This all started within the first few months of a 'New Car' ownership. I've taken my vehicle in multiple times for servicing and never have I received a loaner vehicle. Every time I get my vehicle 'fixed' I end up coming right back for the same issue within the next couple months. Most recently had an 'engine' replaced in a 2016 Malibu. I have less than 40K miles. To no surprise less than 2 days after, my 'Check Engine Light' is back on with a 'New Engine.' To make it worse, when you call or email anyone including managers nobody responds. I just don't trust their service. How do you replace an engine but give me my car back with 'low tire pressure?' How do you replace an engine, and not reset the 'oil life' sensor? How can you replace an engine but can't do simple things that come with getting your car serviced? I've had better Chevy service and much faster at other dealerships. I'll be taking my services to the burbs after they so call fix this engine again! read more

I came into the Hyundai dealership the week of 4/12/2021 looking to purchase a 2020 Hyundai Sonata. Approximately 3 years ago, my wife had purchased a Hyundai Sonata from this dealership and we had a great experience. However, this time that was not the case. We were working with the salesman Isaac. I do not think I have been treated so poorly, talked down to, or belittled in a long time. His customer service skills leave a lot to be desired and that is putting it mildly. While trying to get me to come in to make a deal, Isaac talked to me as though I was a complete moron. I want to give Rogers Auto Group my sales because the first time we had such a wonderful experience, but Isaac has left such a sour taste in my mouth that I now am questioning that. read more

My car was towed here on Friday evening. It's now Saturday afternoon and I have called four times and left two messages with no response from anyone. I finally got a hold of someone by saying I have a new service request. This lady contacted the service department for me and they told her they don't look at new vehicles until Monday? So I am confused- what is the point of being open on the weekend if you're not there to work on the vehicles. Now I am stuck without a car AND without an update on my towed car! I don't understand why they can't answer the phone and respond to customers to at the very least confirm that the vehicle has arrived at the location. This will be my last and final review of Rogers Auto Group - because I'm never going back. After the last clustereff that was me waiting 2+ hours for my car that wasn't going to be serviced because of internet connections between GM and Rogers (and no one communicating that to me), I rescheduled my appointment for 8 a.m. yesterday. I arrived at 7:55 a.m. to drop my car off and waited about 15 minutes before Sean (the only good thing Rogers has going for it, honestly, is this guy) saw me. Where is everyone else? What is everyone else doing when there's a line - literally - out the door for appointments (see photos)? Why is there ONE GUY working his butt off and no one else to be found? Sean squared me away with my 15,000-mile service, two recalls and a burned-out taillight. I wanted to take the shuttle service they have but I wasn't asked if I wanted that, didn't feel like waiting any longer at this place, so I took the bus to work instead. 2:35 p.m. rolled around and I still hadn't heard from Rogers.... so I called and left a message for Sean asking for the status of my car's servicing. He said it was up on the risers then and it would be done shortly. Sadly, I never got a call back saying it was done, but I went at 4:30 p.m. anyway, because by then, it HAD to be done. Normally, when you're serviced at Rogers, you get a car wash after your servicing. Not this time (see pics.) I spent $137+ there and the one 'freebie' they typically throw in, wasn't thrown in. Despite my 15,000 mile checkup including tire rotation and tire PSI levels supposedly being checked, my tires were all under-inflated (in the same state I took them into the service shop - resting at 30-34 PSI when they should be around 40-44 PSI.) So, I took my own car to the car wash and got that done and added air to my own tires last night. But what really got me is the survey they stapled to my receipt. Pictures below. It's already filled out - highlighted, even - with all the highest rankings possible. WTF? Even more mind boggling is that where it says my user ID and Password should be, there are just XXXXXs. So, it's pointless because even if I did send this in, they wouldn't be able to track it to me, my car or my service technician. What's the point? What kind of sham-ass operation is this? So. Again. Avoid this place - especially the service department. I tried to come only to the service department of my dealership so when I get rid of the car, I'd have the "best" service record available. But the waiting, the half-performed service, the lack of communication and then this bogus survey are enough for me to avoid Rogers like the Plague. I will also be touching base with this survey company to inform them of Rogers' faux responses already filled in. I will never buy or lease a car from here again let alone bring my car in to be serviced here. All that said - Sean deserves props for being fast, courteous, and apparently the only member of the team that hustles. Kudos to him. read more

Roger's exceeded our expectations and earned our loyalty. My Husband and I are in transition moving from Pittsburgh back to Chicago and our Cadillac lease was just about to end. We did our research and decided to lease a Buick Envision. Our first salesman was Mario who was a good listener, patient and quick to respond to our phone calls and texts. He then had a family emergency and put us in the good hands of Walter. Walter we can't say enough great things about. This guy is caring, friendly and a man of action! He went above and beyond with us. I also have to mention Justin in finance. We usually dread that part of the car buying process. He was amazing! He was timely, informative and efficient. I told him I wasn't interested and wanted an SUV like the Equinox. He blew me off and stated he could get me a Trax. Again no, I asked why the Equinox was an issue seeing I had good credit. He gets my keys and have the supposed F&I guy come out and state he had a lender but I had to provide them with a blood sample and give up my first born. Then after I left someone calls me. I never received this call back from "Tony" who was the manager. I was told they were messing around instead of working. Thankfully, they didn't work on it at all because of how overpriced this place is. The new name is Napleton Downtown Chicago. I purchased my car in 2018 at the time the name was Rogers auto. I paid the car off in December 2022. In December 2021my coolant system went bad. I paid $780 for the repairs. A year later December 2022 something with the coolant system went wrong again. I was changed $221 for the diagnostic and was told that the $221 will not go towards the repair cost because the are under new owners and that I had only a one year warranty and that it just went over the year. . Now I had to pay $1200 in December 2022. And that can't honor any Roger Auto coupons. My check engine light came on shortly after that repair I didn't know why I thought it was because I left my gas tank door open. I continue to drive my car. They it started to drive weird. So I brought my car back to Napleton Downtown Chicago in January 2023 only to be told something with the Tran and the repairs will cost me about $2800. Now it's February 2023 (two months from the last cooling issues) I'm back at Napleton Downtown Chicago something to do with my cooling system again (now this is the third time for my cooling system issues) the new price is almost $700. I feel like Napleton Downtown Chicago is out to hurt there customer. They are trained mechanics and they know how to sabotage a car. They keep calling me to sell my car back to them and get into a new car note. My life if not to stay in debt. When I do purchase a new car it will not be attached to the name Napleton anything. They are bad business the new staff, managers and technicians all sucks. I been I loyal customer since 2008. I am done with the place. Improper diagnosis. Never road tested car to find out what the Hyundai Tucson needed when noise was detected. Took it in several times for oil tests which wasn't the problem. Took it to another Hyundai dealership that discovered in a few hours that the Catalyric converter was shot. Replaced the converter, SUV works great. read more

Bought my current car from here 8 years ago as I used to live around the corner from the joint. I recall the staff here being really cool and entertaining. I recently got a letter in the mail saying that GM had a recall on my vehicle and to schedule some time to get it straightened out. I figured I would go to where it all started. They took care of the situation in a quick manner and I was on my way. I had a chance to chat with some of the guys here and even though some of the personnel has changed it is still a cool environment that sells really nice cars. If I am in the market for a car again, I would check in with them. read more

So, I went back to Rogers Auto Group on a Tuesday evening a few weeks ago when I noticed that my turn signals had stopped blinking. The illumination was fine, they just weren't blinking on and off to indicate left or right turns and lane-changes. I figured it was probably just a faulty fuse that they could easily switch out in minutes. I mean, it's a GM car and Rogers is a GM shop--right? After about 45 minutes in their waiting area, the service desk attendant comes over and tells me that there's no one there with the knowledge to diagnose the problem. It was late in the business day, so "fair enough," I say to myself. They state that they'll prepare a work order and leave it for the mechanic's attention the next morning, then someone will phone me early and set a formal appointment for another day to look at the issue. The man hands me back my car keys and sends me out the side door and into their service alley to retrieve my vehicle. It's been about an hour. As I walk over to the car, another gentleman is standing beside it, appearing to be pressing down on something. He yells out to me: "I'm holding it down, man." I have no idea what he's talking about, so I venture over to see exactly what he's doing. Rogers has a policy of washing every car it services, whether you want it or not. My car is hand-washed only, which I would have told them if they asked, but they still took it upon themselves to run it through their machine wash. Apparently, the rollers on one of their machines caught onto a piece of my car's trim, ripping it from the driver's side window, bending it and leaving it pointing nearly straight up. The workman had for some reason decided that it would be acceptable to try and glue the piece back into place, and was holding it down in the cold, moist night air in the hopes that the trim would hold. I guess he thought I also wasn't going to see that the trim was bent, or that he had gotten the glue and his glue fingerprints on the windshield and on the car's paint finish. When I ask why no one mentioned this accident upon handing me my keys, the man instructs me to speak to a manager inside who's aware of it. I get the man's name, and go back in and talk to him. He assures me that Rogers Auto Group will source the moulding, find it and repair my vehicle at their expense, and that they'll have it in-house within a week. He also tells me that someone will definitely be phoning me the next morning to set an appointment to look at the original issue I came in for in the first place...the turn signal. That "next day" went by, and I waited two more days before finally phoning the manager and requesting an update. He was busy with another customer, so I left a message and waited. My call went unreturned. A week later I called him again, and held until he came to the phone. "You mean no one ever called you?" No, I said, I was expecting a call the very next morning. "Well, we've found the moulding and will have it here within a week. We'll call you when it comes in." As of today (11.27.17), another week and a half has now gone by, with no phone call about the moulding, and still no call about setting the appointment to examine the turn signals. read more

My sister came in to get her car repaired and after waiting 3 weeks, picked up today with everything gone out of her car and no explanation. The service department manager Scott stated this is not their responsibility and told her to file a police report. We've bought cars here for over a decade and recently got another car and this is the biggest problem we've ever had. No resolution, No finding out what happened, nothing! Poor customer service. She checked the car and took pictures of everything. All her car paperwork is gone & personal belongings are gone! And they have done nothing to help. The men in the this place think women are stupid and talk to you any type of way, they give you the run around, & sell "new" cars that are broken. They no longer get our business and will be reported. They steal and lie to you in order to get your business. Do not buy or service your car here! You trust them with your car but no accountability in when they have your car what happens. Update: After speaking with whoever John is about making sure my daughters car and what happened a priority it's been the exact opposite. She got her car back still not fixed and had to bring it back today. No one including Scott knew about this as John stated they would. Now their saying it won't be done till Friday, offered no loaner and now how's to figure out how to get to work. Again they had already had the car a month. As Loyal and repeat customer's, I'm disgusted how this has been handled. Shame on everyone. She paid her money no problem and still problems. read more
