I had four regular tires and a spare shipped there for installation. Due to the shipment being split into three by the vendor and slow service by the shipper, there was a day's delay. Not the shop's fault. However, when I went back the next day, after I paid and signed for the service, I discovered that only some of the tires had been installed. The spare and one of my regular tires were still sitting on the shop floor. I have no idea how this vehicle was marked completed. I walked home two miles. I went back the third day, and found a mysterious extra part in my trunk, gouges on the spare rim, and an alignment report (not sure whether it was done a second time, or never done in the first place) with out of band results and differences of as much as a degree between the right and left sides. I also have reason to believe they operated my soft top, for which there is no valid reason. The car drives, and has wheels, but it was not a confidence inspiring experience. Instead of leaving excited about my new tires, I left concerned about what may or may not be broken about the car, and how fast it will chew up those new tires. I'll probably have to pay my regular mechanic for another alignment just to make sure it's done right. read more

I've tried to get my oil changed here a few times. Usually they are too busy and aren't taking any new cars or don't have room in their lot to fit another car. Recently I tried again and luckily was able to drop my car off. The staff is nice enough and communicative with next steps. The price for my car (synthetic oil) was on par with other auto shops in the neighborhood. Our car was ready quickly and they called to let me know. Nothing crazy. I'd definitely go here again, as it's close by and walkable for me. I just hope the next time I need an oil change they have the room for my car! read more

I brought my car to this location. My son initially recommended them in trusting them. We were trying to find out if it was a sensor or what was going on with the radiator that was causing a speedometer to read overheat and the car still be cold we were told we brought it this past Monday and we were told to leave it and they would do a complete diagnostics on it. They charged $137 which include tax and told us to leave the car we gave them the key and that they will call us when it's ready. They said it may take two days and they called us and told us to pick it up today which is. Wednesday we went to pick up the car paid the money and then we drove off. My son was with me because he dropped me off and I drove my car back home. I took Lakeshore Drive and by the time I got to work I'm about to exit Lakeshore Drive I couldn't turn my steering wheel. It wouldn't let the car do anything I thought that was rather strange And I have handicap plates on my car. I'm a senior 66 years old with a disability and so I waited until it was safe and I pulled over in a service station and I could barely do that because the wheel would not turn, but I managed To make it home, but I had to buy two containers of power steering fluid and I had to put a whole one container in there, and I managed to make it to the garage and then I noticed that it started leaking out again so we went in for one thing and came out with another issue. I also found out I had 110,000 miles on my car when I came back to get it. It had over 112,000 miles so they really drove my car whoever did and they did something to it because prior to me picking it up and then giving it to them and leaving it with them I never had a power steering issue so it's something they did to my car. I would say that don't take your car to them. They cannot be trusted. You can go in there and have one thing fixed and come out with something else wrong. These are crooked people. They are scammers and they're doing this to keep you running back to them to make money off of you, but to do that to a senior with a disability I seriously could've hurt myself on the expressway. I will never ever use their service again, no matter what they do or say because they caused the safety issue for me. I'm actually gonna Report them to the Consumer bureau now I have to get this issue fixed and I'm gonna ask for my money back that I paid to get it fixed. Do not take your car to them. Liars. I went in for an oil change and they recommended four new tires and new front discs to replace allegedly warped ones. This latter I would have felt while driving, I've had warped discs on another car -- later confirmed that my discs were fine with another mechanic. Two of my tires were newish, having replaced flats; the other two were cupped but still had plenty of tread. These guys have been fine when you go in for specific services, they came through when I had to get a new battery at short notice, they usually performed any requested service efficiently, and I'll still probably buy my tires there, but this one service writer on this occasion was a crook. Either learn to diagnose your car or get a second opinion when something sounds hinky. Still recommended for ordinary maintenance, routine service, and tire installation. read more

Went for an oil change and asked them to pump up tires. I think they changed the oil because they charged me for it, but didn't pump up tires, didn't put correct mileage of car on receipt and didn't put a sticker on the window to remind me of next oil change. I immediately went back inside to say that all 4 tires were lower than the pressure we requested. They said the pressure was increased and it would show that after I drove it a little bit. It didn't. And I came to get air in my tire but for some reason all the air pumps were not working. It's was 5:55 pm and my tire finally got on a flat outside the shop. I'm so thankful that this Firestone is located close to where I live. On my way to Chinatown my check engine light turns on. Worried that I would have trouble restarting my car, I skip the trip to Chinatown and head straight to Firestone. There was only one person ahead of me when I arrived and I was immediately served. I advised the consultant, Daniel, of my issue and he told me he didn't have any openings that day but would be able to check on my car the next day by noon. He said the check engine diagnostics would be $99.99 and the oil change (that I decided to get since I was already there) would be an additional $39.99. The price seemed a little steep for the diagnostics but I was paying for convenience and didn't feel like researching any other place to save some money. I booked that appointment for my car and left my car with Firestone. The next day I receive a call from Alfredo advising me about the issue on my car. I need a new body throttle sensor and they didn't have the parts in-house. They needed to order it but it would arrive by tomorrow. Add another $379 to my bill. Ouch. I remind myself I'm paying for convenience and the ability to use my car again safely! Alfredo also advised me that due to the age of my car I may have to pay an additional fee to install a computer system update to my car if it did not recognize the newly installed sensor. I was not happy to hear that but remained hopeful. I was glad Alfredo provided that additional info to me. The following day I called and they say they received the new sensor part (fast service!) but did not have time to install it. They advised that they will definitely have it fixed by the next day. The next day, my car is ready for pick up and all is well. No need for any additional costs. While I waited for my car I found an oil change coupon online which they honored and gave me the discounted rate. Overall I'm very happy with the service I received here. Their consultants are friendly and they had Covid precautions in place with plexi glass partitions installed and a sign on their door requiring masks to be worn inside the building. read more

So I am adding my review here because, I have had had pretty decent experiences with them over the years when I as of recently got out of my 2013 BMW 328i, these guys kept my baby running for years. Breaks, air, tires, bulb replacement, etc. As of recent I purchased a 2013 Jetta with 35k miles on it from a dealer in Indiana. The car is in great shape with a clear car fax report. I took the car to These guys for a used car inspection and they recommended breaks, break pads and a break flush. All for about 1400 bucks, including a 99$ diagnostic. I complied and they did the job. A few days later I hear a whistle/squeak coming from the breaks. I blamed new breaks or weather. But after more days the noise did not subside. Flash forward to this morning I get to work and the engine light is on?!! I obviously freaked out and because I needed to have these brand new and very expensive breaks checked, I also needed to have the engine light checked too. I quickly called and drop the car off, they told me it would be a few days since they had a special person that looks at engine related stuff. I am praying that this is a faulty sensor but another 99$ bucks just for the diagnostic. My fear is that these guys are not shady, Joe has always been on the up and up and works with pricing. I have missed the window to return the vehicle obviously but I think at this point and the time I've had it which is less than a month. It's safe to blame these guys for any issues considering the car was fine prior to new breaks. Nonetheless, I will see how this goes. I would take it elsewhere but I want to have accountability if I need to sue for any reasons. I will update my review after service is completed. Update 9/12 Tony called and explained a couple of items that need to be corrected brining my total to 1600 more dollars of work needed. He explained they did not hear a noise with the breaks and that the steering wheel needed and alignment which would be an additional 99$. He further stated that they heard nothing with the breaks and if I was having issues to take it to where I had the work done. Mind you they just did the work a couple of weeks ago. And continued to push on how or when I heard the noise instead of Removing the brakes as a courtesy to ensure the breaks were installed properly and or double check. I initially agreed to the 1600 dollars worth of work when he said he could complete the task for 1400. After I ended the call I just didn't feel right and called back to cancel for a second opinion. Nonetheless, I am out of 99$ dollars for them to "check" the engine. Bringing my total to about 1500 total I've spent over the course of 3 weeks with these guys. Bottom line, save your money and shop around. I understand inflation but being nickeled and dimes these days is not it. I. All fairness, I just need a solid mechanic to check the vehicle and be honest about its needs. I do not have time for the back and forth with these guys and negotiations on pricing. Had a tire replaced,when I picked the car and got in to drive away, the low tire pressure monitor was on. I immediately went back in and told them , they told me that it should go off in 25 minutes after I have driven the car for a while. The tire pressure monitor warning did not go off but went to a Tire Pressure Default Notification.. I brought the car back to them and they told me I needed a new tire pressure monitor for one of the wheels, that one of them was missing, they quoted me an additional $188.47 to replace the unit that was missing. I took it to another shop in the area that was approved by the Better Business Bureau, my insurance company sent someone out look at the car and was told that Firestone performed inferior work on my vehicle. I was also told that one of the tire pressure monitors was not missing, but that it was not synced with the other 3 units. read more

I called at 7:02am to ensure it was okay to drop my vehicle off. Miguel answered and confirmed it was. At 7:16, I dropped my vehicle off for a simple oil change and tire rotation. I called at 11:42 to get a status update and was told mu vehicle was approved to complete the service (it's a fleet vehicle). At 1:07 I called back to get an update and that repeated they just got it approved (although got was approved a hour and half before this particular conversation) and it'll be next going to the back. At 3:15 I paid for an uber to get my vehicle because surely it's done by now, right? Absolutely not! They still hadn't touched my vehicle after being in their possession for 7 hours. I spoke to the assistant manager, Alfredo and he took responsibility saying they lost track of time. This is absolutely unacceptable and unprofessional. The representative inside the store told me to pull around back which was kind of tight with the alley and the train there. They filled up my tires and found the Neil. They recommended I get them replaced due to the wear on the tire tread's. There wasn't any sales pressure. Due to their quick response to needing my tires checked and their professionalism I decided to have my tires replaced there. They were timely and convenient. I would highly recommend. read more

My son dropped his car off at 8:15 am. He called at 12:30 and was told they would call him back. He came to the store at 1:30 and they had not looked at the car. He stated he would just take the car because he had to work that night. When firestone gave him the car that had the nerve to charge him $22.00 for a diagnostic fee. What kind of business is this. They only take drop offs basically now. I was told you can make an appt but it will still be a 3 to 5 hour wait. They need to reconstruct their business. Have one or two ports just for waiting customers or something other than what they have now. Some people don't have the option of getting picked up and dropped off or cant afford it. Down go there for tire rotation ot balancing. Every time I did I brought it back it because of vibration. They had to rebalance. Last few times I was there, I was waiting watching the techs work on cars. They waste so much time! Take a wheel of a car, go talk to an employee and laugh for a few minutes, drink some coffee, take another tire off, repeat. It's ridiculous. I watched one woman do an oil change which took a half hour because she got it set up went away and came back to drain. She was gone so long it could have been drained already! This place is fine if you have a flat tire, and you can get a credit card there. I dropped off my car there after hours when it had a flat, and they also found some other repairs my car needed. I usually shop around but decided to just get the repairs there. Recently, I took my car in because I was about to go on a 700 mile road trip and wanted to make sure my old Bessie was ready for a long trip. I also told them something was leaking whenever I turned it on. It was a clear liquid toward the front of the car. They said oh air conditioners usually drain some liquid, that's probably all it is. Anyway, they said my brakes and axles needed $1500 worth of work, so I bit the bullet and paid for it. But a few days later, I turned on my A/C and it was blowing hot air. I guess they don't check the A/C during their inspections, even after I said some clear liquid toward the front was leaking? I took my car somewhere else to get the A/C fixed. Sure enough, there was a hole by my condenser. I'm not sure what exactly they check when they do their "inspections." I would say just take your car there for a quote if you're nearby, then shop around and see what other places say. read more

So I go here on a regular basis for two main things: Tire Rotation and Wheel Alignment Cool thing is when you purchase all of your tires from here, you get free lifetime rotation on them regardless of the age of your vehicle. At an average of $20 each time, I end up going about 10 times between changing tires. I paid for a lifetime wheel alignment once when I got first set of new tires on my newer car and have used the wheel alignment about 4 times (I think you pay $80 for one time or about $150 for lifetime). You do the math. So do I give my car for other repairs here? Mostly not and not because I don't like these folks. They use Penzoil which is not my favorite (I like Mobil 1). I take my car for major repairs to another private shop who has really saves me thousands of dollars. I'll still get all my tires from here. My one pick with them is the "perception" they can give to a consumer. Keep in mind (unless I am wrong here which I don't think I am), when they tell you that you need a transmission flush; most of the time it's not that they have "checked" to see if your transmission flush has been done. They're going based off of "recommended" intervals for certain criteria. For instance my car doesn't need an antifreeze change for another about 40K however sometime last year, Firestone folks recommended a change (at that time I was probably good for another 55K). So again, they just recommended a service based on what they see the manufacturer's booklet. I've honestly never had a bad experience at this location (or any firestone location for that matter.) That's not to say that deception doesn't exist at this company. Car repair shops have a bad rap for a reason. However with all of the knowledge that we have available at our fingertips today, we as consumers are forced to research a little bit ourselves. If this was 20 or 30 years ago, you couldn't so be a smart consumer and google some simple things. You might end up saving a lot. Went through a lot of reviews here today. Saw a common issue; consumers have the attitude of entitlement and forget they are talking a human being when they go to a place like Firestone. Sure, it doesn't take 2 hours for them to change two rear tires but there are about 10 cars waiting in line ahead of that car. Do you really think a quote made a few months ago will still be valid today? Tires more expensive here than competition? Why would you assume tires are going to be the same price everywhere? It's called competition. It's like saying WF has milk at $7 a gallon where as everywhere else it's for $3. There are times where consumers can and should receive calls for updates which Firestone has failed many times it seems from reviews. Firestone; that's on you. You got to bring efficiency into your operation else you're finished. read more

I couldn't even take my car in to get an oil change and a check up. I had to have someone else do it for me. I feel bad for the workers they are so nice but the Company is terrible. The bill for coils was ridiculous I also asked for the coils they "replaced" and those coils are in good condition. A repair that didn't need to be done. $99 for a diagnostic test when Auto zone does it for free and Jiffy lube! I'm appalled. Get it back, AND IT STILL WAS UNALIGNED. In addition to it being unaligned, IT WAS LEAKING 2 TYPES OF FLUIDS!!! My Lines were leaking and my RADIATOR HAS A HOLE IN IT all of a sudden. I had NO LEAKS BEFORE my ALIGNMENT and service. My METAL line was busted in a place where NO CONTACT was being made with the vehicle and impossible to be busted with normal wear and tear. Should have listened to the negative reviews. Went in for a slow leak in a tire, said they repaired it, pressure was already low when I got home. Filled it, but the tire nozzle was messed up. Brought back next day and of course they said I needed all new tires when night before they said I had some lifespan left on them. Ok fine, kind of in a time crunch. Got it back after all new tires and the wheel rims are all dinged up, and pressures in the tires all drastically different and way too high when I was able to check.
