We hired Ron to do the architectural plans for the remodel of a fourplex. He came in with a fancy camera scanner to measure everything, a very efficient process. He was very much on time with the delivery of the initial draft. We discussed minor changes and submitted to the city, and they had just had a few minor corrections before approval, which is better than other architectural teams I have worked with. After we began work on the project, we discovered a beam in the ceiling was not pointing in the right direction, leading to the need for a revision to the plans. The engineer Margarito went on site and approved changes, which allowed us to quickly adapt. Overall this was a very streamlined process, I would be happy to use his services in the future and can very much recommend him.

The timeline was totally reasonable (honestly, my slow email responses probably added more time than anything on their end), and the plans were approved by the city on the first try, which was a huge relief. It was also hard to find someone willing to take on a smaller project at a fair price, and they were very thorough. Even months later, they've still been responsive with follow-up questions from our contractor. Would definitely recommend, especially for smaller renovations or additions.

There has been a huge shake up there with one of the main partners leaving under very atrocious and shocking circumstances with the other partners We got stuck in the middle because not knowing this individual no longer worked there, we emailed him at his EZ Plans email address. That's when the yelling and threats began from Mark at EZ Plans. After being yelled at and screamed at, we decided the client relationship had been irreparably damaged and that we could no longer work together. We reviewed the contract and deliverables and determined that only 2 of the 5 had been delivered. That means 60% was not delivered. In an effort to part amicably, we asked only for a 50% refund of the money as we will need to spend it with another firm but were told the money was non-refundable. Next they formally terminated the relationship (which we had already done) but kept my 80 year old mother's money. My 80 year old mother has now filed a small claims suit asking for a full refund along with punitive damages.

Starting from our wish list for the architectural design which eventually ended up much more beautiful than what we had imagined, their willingness to accommodate our requests , sometimes even last minute changes, has stood out. They were very diligent in working with the HOA and also with and the city to get all relevant permits approved.

If you are…read morelooking to complete a project in a timely fashion, without mistakes, and with someone that actually follows through with the project, please look elsewhere. Pickard delayed my project, made mistakes, and he was nowhere to be found when the city inspections took place. Then at the end, he had the audacity to charge me more in order to complete what he was legally obligated to prepare within the contract price. I had no other option than to pay him just to get city approval and be done with this unprofessional company. Mind you, this wasn't an insignificant project, this was a 1 million+ project. At the beginning, he does whatever he can to entice you to use him. He will say that he's a licensed attorney so he can deal with any city hiccups, that he has worked on big projects with well-known companies, such as Disney, and everything under the sun. Once you hire him, good luck getting him to perform. I had stressed to him that time was of the essence. I needed this project to completed ASAP. I guess ASAP has a different meaning to him. Well, I hired him in March 2015 and in August 2018 I was still dealing with him. That's when he and his friend were holding part of my plans hostage in exchange for additional payment. Then the lies. During the city permit process, he would tell me that the city was to blame for the delays. Well, I called the city and it turned out that the city had requested the same thing from him three different times and he wouldn't provide what they were asking for him. So, he was the cause of the delay - he didn't know what he was doing. My contractor found so many mistakes on the plans, that I couldn't believe that a licensed architect would allow such to be presented to the city. For example, he had wall lights as the lights that would go on the parking lot light posts. Then, he would include interior light fixtures that wouldn't be supported with the wiring inside the building. He will push for his contractor to be hired. The contractor underprices everything so that he can present to you a low bid, and then I am sure once you hire him he will say that the allowances are not sufficient to cover whatever material it was allocated to. There were sooooo many issues with Pickard that it would take weeks for me to finish this review. Just avoid yourself the headache and DON'T use him. He's unprofessional, a liar, doesn't know what he is doing, and has no business being in business.

I got myself into a mess by trying to do a lot of the work on my own and unpermitted at that. Once I was told to stop by the City I called around to get multiple estimates for blue prints. Rafael happened to be the most reasonably priced and now that it's all said and done, I can officially say, price that was well worth it! We got the layout of our home that we were looking for and just the right amount of Sq. footage in every room. Thanks again Rafael and Miriam for all your help.

The fact that this happened just before the holidays made it an absolute nightmare. The mold company recommended a general contractor, but we couldn't rely on him to finish the build-back in time for holiday guests. When I reached out to Rafael, he immediately sent someone out to begin the work. They managed to get enough of the build-back done so that we were able to accommodate our guests. Rafael's guys are back this month doing additional work for us -- installing new floors and painting the family room and one of the bedrooms, as well as renovating another bathroom. You may be able to find cheaper contractors but you won't find any that are as professional, trustworthy or caring as Rafael Salas and the RSR Construction family.

Ramy delivered the plans ahead of schedule and took the time to walk us through everything in person. When the city had requests we didn't agree with, he communicated directly with the city planner on our behalf and guided us through the process with confidence and clarity.
