Alex and his team have been fabulous to work with. They redid a bathroom for us, then made a new front porch, then completed an above-garage ADU for us. Every one of his team members has been courteous and hard working, and the final product is beautiful! Their work has been good enough that, as i mentioned, we've engaged them for several projects. I highly recommend this company!

Alex and his team did an amazing job with our addition and kitchen remodel. Their craftsmanship was impeccable and were very meticulous with their work. In addition, the workers were friendly and always cleaned up after themselves. When we weren't sure on certain designs or a color scheme, Alex offered beautiful suggestions which we went with. Whenever we had any questions or concerns, Alex was always transparent and honest. After the project was finished we had some neighbors come look at the finished product and like our whole family, they fell in love with it so much that they decided to use them for their own addition. Overall I definitely recommend Divine Grace Company to anyone who wants to work with honest, understanding, and hardworking people!

Alex and the Divine Grace construction team genuinely care about the work they do, and the people they do it for. Our home addition project was a bit of a challenging one, with weather setbacks (all the rain this past spring) causing some damage and delays. Alex and his team worked to make up the time, and ensured any rain-caused issues were 100% taken care of. While this should be standard in construction, it is not always, and we greatly appreciate folks like Alex who are committed to making things right. That's a really big deal, and a true demonstration of his caring for his customers. In addition to the care the Divine Grace team shows, they also render a really great finished product. We selected them for our job because of the final detail work that they do, and these details came through and look great in our home. I am pretty particular about the small nuances, and so was grateful that they were willing to not only focus on the small finishing details, but willing to engage me and make adjustments were I requested them. The last thing that I will share is that Alex and his team are very open to feedback and changes when needed. When there was something that we felt was not right, Alex was always willing to discuss a fix, and consistently had the attitude of "I'll make it right," all the way down to letting us know upon the job completion, that if something did not look right or changed even after the job was done, he would come back and take a look at it with us. That's dedication to both quality and your customer!

I generally don't write reviews, as a matter of fact this is my second Yelp review.. but I felt compelled to give Divine Grace Construction a shout-out and a big Thank You! Alex and his team at DGC recently finished construction on my adorable 500 Sq ft (one bedroom, one bathroom) ADU in Lakewood. The DGC team finished the ADU project in a timely manner consistent with our original timeline. The team was very professional and courteous. I appreciate that Alex and his team were very communicative and listened to what I wanted in this ADU and they took my ideas and made my vision a reality! I appreciate their commitment to this project. If any unexpected issues occurred they kept me informed and were able to resolve issues fairly and to my satisfaction. I am also thankful that they went the extra mile, and for all the excellent work they did on this project! I would definitely recommend Divine Grace Construction! Again, thank you Alex and DGC!

Want to take a second to send a shout out to Alex Rivera & his crew at Divine Grace Construction. They finished my kitchen remodel last week & I love the results! I want to thank Marco the supervisor, Marco the craftsman, Angel the paint & detailing guy, Jesus for my beautiful backsplash tile, Albert the tile floor guy, Mauricio the wood floor guy, Gonsalves the cabinet guy & last but not least Eric the project manager. Alex is knowledgeable, patient ( he always answered any question I had & put me at ease) & professional. He has years of experience working on high end projects so he has a really good sense of design that was really helpful. My kitchen was finished ahead of schedule, the work crew worked Mon-Fri, & they cleaned up the area everyday before they left. Most of all they made me feel like it was their own kitchen they were working on! So these are the reasons I highly recommend Divine Grace Construction. I'm so glad I hired Alex Rivera & DGC.

Going into the holidays... we're so thankful for our new kitchen!! Thank you to DGC!! We had our kitchen remodel by DGC this summer, wrapping up at end of Aug. It's been a few months and we are now fully settled into it and love it more each day! We first met Alex at the beginning of the year and I was VERY anxious going into this project. Alex was so patient with all my questions and concerns, including multiple calls and texts. He was always willing to be available. Every call he reassured me it would all work out and he was right!! He also vouched for the integrity of all his workers and again they all couldn't have been nicer!! Marcos, Shuy and the crews were all a pleasure to work with. I worked from home and managed kids schedule through the whole process and they were all very thoughtful and accommodating. Not only we're they nice people, the details of their work is impressive! Over the past months as I've settled in, I half expected to find some corners cut but haven't seen anything. The cabinets are great, the lighting is so nice and the paint lines are all even. Eric- the project manager was good at responding to any call or text. Any questions, requests or even last minute changes I had (and it felt like I had a lot), were addressed and handled. He was very flexible with our schedules. It's also super reassuring that I know I can just call them if anything comes up! And I know a big part of the nervousness of a big kitchen project is cost. Alex was very honest about it. DGC had one of the best estimates and I really appreciated that a lot of costs were included. It was a lot easier to navigate all the choices. I never had to deal with any extra costs to subcontractors and payments were made directly to DGC. Overall, I'm so thankful I went with DGC for our kitchen remodel. Towards the end of the project, it did take awhile to get some lingering things and communication slowed down, but when everything was all said and done, DGC was a good fit for me to work with. They were very down to earth, reasonable, flexible, respectful, trustworthy and had good attitudes about everything. They were able to problem solve, offer suggestions, accommodate requests and reassure when I got anxious. There were no hidden costs and everything was very upfront and transparent. I definitely recommend working with them and have already shared their number with family and friends.

My wife and I bought a "fixer upper" home in Lakewood about 3 years ago. After we finally saved enough funds, we started to shop around and interview various contractors. Alex with DGC and I clicked right from the beginning. He took the time to understand exactly what we wanted, based on the plans I provided. Budget was a huge concern for us, since we didn't want to dip into our savings, with a baby on the way. To give you a little background, we had a galley-style kitchen to begin with. In order to open up the layout, our plan was to tear down the existing wall and close up one of the windows. We wanted to do this so we could add an island as well as extend our cabinetry and counter-space. Overall, the construction took a little over 2 months in total. Alex and Eric were very professional. They made sure to constantly keep us in the loop at all phases of construction, giving us peace of mind when we were away at work. The DGC crew were always on time, and managed to keep our home clean by respecting our space during the entire project. We had a very enjoyable experience working with DGC and recommend them for any size renovation you may have. I'm sure we will be using them again in the future when we're ready. Thank you Alex and team for making our home beautiful! We absolutely love our new kitchen.

This guy came and never answered his phone. 2 months later still no estimate.

They came and never provided a quote. We called multiple time left voicemails and no callback. At least have common courtesy and say you can't do the job.

I can't say enough about Divine Grace Construction. After meeting with over 4 companies, my husband and I decided to hire based on reviews & the quality of work seen in photos posted on their site. My husband in particular is "meticulous" and turns out he is extremely satisfied with the outcome. I had many indecisions/changes along the way , and they were extremely patient w/ me while i made choices (thank you Eric ). We remodeled kitchen, tore down some walls, for open concept; along with some other small projects. Prices are fair for the "high-end" quality work provided. Crew was always on time, bright and early, respectful, never missed a day & cleaned up their area at the end of each day.. My kitchen is absolutely gorgeous - Thank you Divine Grace Crew. Would def use for another major reno. Go with them, you won't regret it.

After interviewing multiple contractors I'd found on Yelp, Alex made DGC a clear choice in a crowded field. Before we'd committed anything to the project Alex was already going the extra mile. He took the time to understand our family's needs and what we wanted to accomplish with our project (a 655 sq. ft. addition). He brought his architect to the initial consultation and they checked with the city to make sure they could deliver on exactly what we wanted. Nobody else took this level of interest in our home; as a matter of fact everyone else brushed off our ideas to push their own, but Alex was interested in turning what we wanted into reality. I was nervous about our budget and making sure we avoided any "surprises" that would put us behind, but Alex went over everything with us and was confident everything in the contract would happen on budget and on time. Even with COVID throwing a major curve ball he delivered. As soon as we were able to start work everything progressed on or ahead of schedule. I'd heard nightmare stories from other people working with other contractors who'd "find issues" that "required" more money and time to deal with, but Alex always gave a no pressure update whenever an issue outside of the scope of our project popped up, and if it was within the scope of the project it was just to keep us in the loop and to tell us not to worry about it. Anytime work is done on an old house there are sure to be unforeseen problems that a contractor could take advantage of, but Alex never did that. From start to finish Alex made it clear through words and action that integrity and quality are at the heart of what they do. The DGC crew worked non-stop and were responsive to the needs of our family along the way. It is not an understatement to say that the results of their labor are life changing for our family. I can't recommend Divine Grace Construction enough. When we're ready to do some more work updating our existing kitchen and bathrooms, Divine Grace Construction is going to be the one to do it.

I would be lying if I said we didn't experience anxious moments before beginning our extensive home remodel. Whenever one risks or invests a substantial amount of money there is bound to be apprehension. However, our nerves were quickly settled once we met with Alex and collaborated on a solid plan. He is knowledgeable, experienced, trustworthy, detail-oriented and his crew is nothing short of professional. We weren't strangers to Divine Grace Construction, as Alex built my sister's home (and subsequent ADU) prior to working on our house. We saw firsthand the quality of his work and admired his attention to detail. After seeing what he'd accomplished for my sister, we had high expectations...Alex did not disappoint. Once we got the ball rolling, things came together quickly. Eric gave us weekly updates, informed us about upcoming inspections, described the various tasks the crew worked on, and answered any questions we had along the way. He also let us know when it was time to select flooring, fixtures, and paint ( great quality products, by the way). As you can imagine, we had several questions about hardware, lighting, and finishes. While Eric often reminded me that he wasn't a designer, he was kind enough to offer suggestions. We never felt like we were on this journey alone. In fact, Divine Grace took such good care of us we often felt as though we were their only clients. We had a few challenges. Most were pandemic-related setbacks and completely out of our control. Other very minor hiccups were promptly addressed and resolved without incident. Thank you for being patient with us, Alex and Eric! I cannot say enough about the crew. They are a fine example of hard-working individuals and operate like a well-oiled machine. Each member is highly skilled and takes pride in his craft. Beyond wanting to please the homeowners, I believe they enjoy stepping back and admiring their own work. That alone should be enough to convince anybody looking for a good construction company. This type of dedication is difficult to find nowadays. I never had to worry about finding a mess because the crew cleaned their work area daily; picked up materials, stored their tools out of the way, threw out their trash, and swept prior to leaving. We get compliments on the house from complete strangers. I've had many people approach me while I'm in the front yard to tell me how great the house looks and how it has improved the neighborhood. Those who have seen the inside of the house also have plenty of positive comments to share. It was a pleasure working with Alex, Eric, Marcos and the rest of the Divine Grace team. We couldn't be happier with the final product and we look forward to working with them on future projects.

Alex and his team helped my wife and I build our dream home. From the start Alex was professional and on time, the consultation Alex came prepared with his architect. He answered all our questions and made us feel at ease. We went with divine grace to build up on our home a 2nd story and full remodel on the 1st floor. Since the start communication was always there, they where always on time for meetings, and no detail was left out. Alex told us it would take 8-9 months from starting on the construction part of the house and they did just that!! Marco and his guys where always very professional when we went on site to check the progress, we had meetings with Alex or Eric anytime we requested it. Their work on our house speaks for it self, it's beautiful and way better then we imagined!! They always offered advice for finishes and other things, they are very knowledgeable in their trade. We are grateful for all their hard work and dedication to our home, we would definitely work with them again in the future for more projects. Thank you again Alex, Marco, Eric and the crew!!

Throughout the entire process, Mike was very professional and the level of expertise he exhibited was obvious. Before Mike, I had met with 3 other contractors to compare services and quotes but what sealed the deal for me was the 3D render service Mike offered. It was affordable and it would be free if you end up going with MDM for your remodel. Mike was able to get the renderings to me very quickly and made adjustments whenever we wanted to change something. Seeing the details of the renderings really brought what we were envisioning to life and helped with the design process. Fast forward to beginning of demo/construction, Mike's employees were impressively fast and efficient at their jobs, but what really impressed me was how clean they kept our property after each day of work. And that stated true throughout the entire process of our 7 month renovation. During construction, if there were any last minute changes, Mike would always try to cater to our needs whenever possible. Even if subcontractors made mistakes with anything, Mike would make sure it is fixed and perfect right away. Keep in mind, you can't rely on Mike for everything (as much as you might want to). You really do have to do your research (in terms of design, finishing materials, sourcing those materials, and getting them delivered on time) and know exactly what you want and how you want it, that way, Mike can plan and put into action what needs to be done. After this entire process, we are extremely happy we got this project completed with MDM. What really sets them apart is the quality of work, dependability, and the great people that work for MDM. From the very beginning, communication was sloppy, deadlines were missed repeatedly, and the workmanship was appalling. More than five stars!…read more Succinctly, we met with three or four companies to get an estimate all of whom were pleasant but, somehow, did not seem as though they were listening to what we wanted. It was different with Ammar of Kitchen Cabinet Express, Inc. After a brief introduction and a short discussion of our intentions, he got right to the point, walking with my wife, measuring and making notes and asking questions. What resulted was a reasonable estimate for the work to be done and a plan and drawings that exactly reflected our wishes. The deadline for completion was originally set for the middle of March 2026 but was completed two weeks early. Members of Ammar's team and contractors were professional, conscientious, and hard working. They showed up on time, accomplished what was scheduled for each day. As work progressed, we desired some minor changes which Ammar and his team were very flexible and responsive in accomplishing professionally and quickly. At every point - daily work and especially at the conclusion - the site was cleaned up immaculately and all detritus was hauled away instantly. Also, a great deal of care was taken to mask, cover, and protect the house, furniture, and existing fixtures from the dust and soiling that was occasioned by the remodeling work! This review is being written a month after completion as we wanted to take our time to let the "newness" wear off and appraise the overall experience. After this time for evaluation, we find the craftsmanship flawless, the cabinets and showers and baths installed beautifully and -- overall -- the incorporation into our existing home has greatly upgraded the whole affair. All in all, the results exceeded our expectations! We highly recommend Ammar and his team and, once settled, we will be having him back to take care of additional projects we'd like to accomplish.

First, we did a complete home makeover in 2014. Initially we were going to do just the kitchen and the front bathroom, but we were so impressed by the consultation by the owner, Ammar Maaytah, that we did more...a lot more. And the result was a thing of beauty. We invested a lot in our home with KCE, but I feel we got at least 3X in return. Ammar is a brilliant artist with a feel for materials, color and subtlety. Recently, we had a water damage issue. He came in with an imaginative solution and he delivered. I trust Ammar and his staff to recommend a great solution AND to deliver. And I get more than I pay for...a lot more. Because of KCE my wife and I live in a work of art.

As first-time…read morerenovators, we were understandably nervous, but they guided us through every detail with patience, expertise, and care. They completed a full gut renovation of our primary bathroom and a renovation of our guest bath, and the results exceeded our expectations. The tile work is absolutely gorgeous, the attention to detail is next level, and the job site was kept impeccably clean--which was especially important since my partner and I were living in the house with our dogs throughout the project. That level of thoughtfulness made a huge difference. Baldo was amazing at problem-solving and offering smart ideas and workarounds, especially given the surprises that come with an older home (ours was built in 1977). Michael was equally outstanding--always diligent, responsive, and proactive in addressing any questions or concerns I had along the way. We were so happy with their work that we've already had them back to update our kitchen with new backsplash and tile work, as well as an outdoor bar. I can't recommend Bela Development highly enough. Skilled, trustworthy, and a true pleasure to work with from start to finish.

From the start, Tom and his team were easy to communicate with, responsive, and clear about the process. The project was finished two weeks earlier than expected, which was a great plus for us to be able to move in back sooner. When unexpected and unforeseen issues came up, Tom handled everything very professionally. He took the time to explain what was going on, walked us through our options, and helped us choose solutions that made sense - all without surprise costs and while staying within our budget. The quality of the work was solid, the crew was respectful and clean, and we always felt informed and comfortable throughout the project. We're very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Bela Development to anyone looking for a trustworthy and reliable contractor.

Carlos came out and provided 2 different quotes, one for full replacement and another one for replacing only a portion to include upgrading all the vents. I wasn't expecting that but after consideration, I thought that was the best option. We scheduled the repair and they were prompt, professional, and clean. His team came out on time and worked like a machine to complete in one day. They cleaned up after they were done and then the foreman came out same day to inspect and perform quality control. Aside from saving me thousands on our options, I was very impressed with SoCal from start to finish. I would highly recommend their services.

I really wanted to give this company 5 stars because of Jose, the foreman. He was amazing to work with, attentative, and prompt. Salt of the earth! Carlos, the owner, was also amazing, prompt, straightforward, knowledgeable. They did an amazing job on my roof. Roof itself 5/5. No complaints. However, I do believe the job and the service itself is 3 stars. Not bad but not amazing. I ended up walking away from this experience just kind of meh but wanted to share my honest thoughts so it'll help others. That being said, there were a couple hiccups that happened along the way. No one contacted me prior to the day of my start date/roof removal. The office manager kind of chucked it as the person who supposed to let me know was out sick. They require someone be home to sign off on the work so not letting me know seemed off.. Not a peep about what time theyll be arriving, what to expect. Etc. Yes, they walk you through this process during quotation but thats about 4 to 6 weeks out before the actual day. They also didnt let me know which day or what time. I had to reach out myself multiple times. The team is quick but I also think their speed leaves them a bit careless. After they were done, I was left with a patched ceiling (beautifully patched but I feel like shouldn't have happened in the first place), kitchen/outdoor light that no longer works, loose recessed lighting,, and plumbing leak. They also let you know and disclose that things may break since theres pressure on the roof. Its in the contract but it highlights loose items and such... but realistically, not electrical going out or plumbing leaks based on what ive learned from others and neighbors. I also had my plumbing inspected and redone in September 2024. Now, im not saying they were at fault and that theyre to blame. It could just be my luck that it happened exactly on the day they were up on my roof after living here over a year. Also, very minor but there were trash left around that my inspector found. They were accomodating on making things right although they started to be a little short with me towards the end. I really considered referring them to other friends who needed their roofing done but not sure if my confidence is there if theyll be spending $$$ for an ok experience.
