I want to add to an already outstanding list of reviews of Plan and Permit to write a review about Ron and his colleagues. We hired Ron to do the architectural plans for the remodel of a fourplex. He came in with a fancy camera scanner to measure everything, a very efficient process. He was very much on time with the delivery of the initial draft. We discussed minor changes and submitted to the city, and they had just had a few minor corrections before approval, which is better than other architectural teams I have worked with. After we began work on the project, we discovered a beam in the ceiling was not pointing in the right direction, leading to the need for a revision to the plans. The engineer Margarito went on site and approved changes, which allowed us to quickly adapt. Overall this was a very streamlined process, I would be happy to use his services in the future and can very much recommend him. read more

We used Plan and Permit for a small home addition and had a great experience. Ron was really easy to work with and did a great job explaining the whole process upfront, especially since we were new to permits and planning. The timeline was totally reasonable (honestly, my slow email responses probably added more time than anything on their end), and the plans were approved by the city on the first try, which was a huge relief. It was also hard to find someone willing to take on a smaller project at a fair price, and they were very thorough. Even months later, they've still been responsive with follow-up questions from our contractor. Would definitely recommend, especially for smaller renovations or additions. read more

Plan and Permit were absolutely outstanding throughout our ADU project. They consistently went above and beyond, especially when the city made things difficult. When slip sheeting wasn't allowed and the process became far more complicated than expected, they stepped in, pushed back on our behalf, and handled the back-and-forth with professionalism and persistence. Their communication was clear, their expertise showed at every step, and they genuinely cared about getting our project across the finish line. I'd highly recommend them to anyone looking for a team that actually advocates for you--not just processes paperwork. read more

Ron is very professional and reliable. he is extremely responsive. Always gets back to me. He was also flexible, patient and worked with all the requests we had and changes to the plans. He will provide a timeline on how long it takes to do the revisions and he delivers as promised. Even after getting paid in full, he was still responsive and helpful. The design he did for our 2-bedroom, 2 bath garage conversion ADU was smart, cost effective and modern. Definitely recommend him! read more

I hired Plan and Permit for the architectural design and engineering of my ADU project, and I couldn't be more satisfied. They handled everything from the architectural drawings to coordinating with the structural engineer and Title 24 consultant seamlessly. The entire process was smooth and efficient. Ron was the main person who took care of everything--he did an outstanding job. Communication was one of his strongest points--very responsive, clear, and professional. He answered all my questions quickly and followed up consistently throughout the process. Their turnaround time was fast, and the pricing was extremely reasonable compared to others I had researched. I just got the permit yesterday, and everything went through smoothly without issues. Thank you to Ron for making this project stress-free. We are starting the process of building a Garage/ADU Conversion. We hired Ron and his company, Plan & Permit to design the ADU and get us to the finish line for a permit from the city of Santa Ana. My husband & I are very happy with the services Ron provided during the entire process and feel the cost of his services are very reasonable. He was professional and courteous from the outset, arrived on time and answered a myriad of questions at our first meeting. Additionally, Ron developed a very lovely ADU plan incorporating some innovative designs. I recently engaged the firm Plan and Permit LLC to assist with our overall kitchen/living room renovation project. Based on a recommendation from our structural engineer, we contacted Mr. Ron Abbassi to develop architectural design plans for submittal to the city of Laguna Niguel to obtain a permit. From the very first conversation with Ron, we knew we were in "excellent hands". His responsiveness, knowledge base, and commitment to detail were far above "excellent". He delivered the required product on time and well within our budget. We had such a positive experience with Ron. His rate was the best by far. engineers usually charged what it costs to hire him (the architect) and the engineer he works with. its no brainer to go with Plan and permit. they are almost too good to be true. in addition to his rate, he is super nice and so responsive. he will email you a response every time he receives your email. he also let me play around with different floor plans as much as i needed before i ended up with what he suggested to begin with. he is so thorough and organized that i barely had any revisions requested of him from the city. i couldnt recommend plan and permit more. read more
