I had a really wonderful time working with Ron on my kitchen design. He came out with his team and worked through the details of what I wanted. Made all the notes and videos for reference and listened to what I was envisioning. He sent me the drawings and I was able to make all the changes I wanted until the plans were exactly how I wanted them down to even the smallest changes. Never did he tell he no or make me feel like I was being a pain with any of my requests. I would have no problems recommending you hire him for any home remodel needs. He took care of making sure any of the extra files needed (Title 24) were done with very competitive rates and explained the process to me when I had questions. Thanks for your help Ron! read more

Great service, Mehran is a top notch. Good pricing and good job.

This is a very honest review from a current customer. my husband and I have been planning to add on a 500 square-foot room addition to our home for the past year. We started our journey with Ron and Sam at the beginning of this year. I had an idea of what we wanted our addition to look like but we definitely didn't know if it was possible within our budget. I Researched multiple different architect companies but most charged more than what we could afford. We were getting quotes for over $6000 for just architectural design! Some went up to $10k For both architectural and structural design. I wanted to hire someone close to where we lived in South Orange County so they would be familiar with our city permitting process. I found Plan and Permit through yelp and google searching. Ron and Sam had great reviews and so I went with them. I am so pleased! Ron is a wonderful communicator and gets back to me within a few days every time I email with him. my husband and I explained to him what we wanted and he drew up plans perfectly. we did zoom video calls as well when needed. Only mild adjustments needed to be done on his end. Sam his structural engineer was very quick and a great communicator as well. It only took one revision through the city to get approval! Throughout the whole process Ron answered all of our questions and was right there with us along the way. if you're looking for a very knowledgeable architect and Structural Engineer, that are good communicators, very good at their jobs, and are right there with you throughout the whole process this is a company to hire. We are so grateful for them. read more

I needed "as built" floor plans and contacted Ron. He was so professional and was able to come out to take measurements very promptly. He was very polite and sweet - he gave me a very competitive quote as well. I needed the plans within a week and Ron was able to have them ready for me within two days! How awesome is that? It's very awesome as other architects that I contacted told me they would need a few weeks for completion. Ron was very helpful and knowledgeable about floor plans and all architect/space related questions and concerns. Will definitely be contacting him for all architectural needs :) read more

Plan and Permit was great to work with and signed onto our project when we just ended work with a nightmare architect/designer. We didn't know how bad it was with the other architect and designer until we worked with Plan and Permit. Ron was very communicative about the process and work, and was very available to answer all of our questions. He came up with great solutions to configuration issues and was helpful in navigating design options that kept budget in mind. When he arrived to do measurements, he really listened and was so accurate in the design in addressing all my comments, concerns and needs. I would work with (and recommend him) anytime! read more

We solicited several bids from designers and architects. Some recommended, and the rest based on online reviews. Ron was one of the latter. But he was the only one to respond expeditiously, concisely, and patiently. He was also the most competitively priced. So we contracted him and were delighted the culmination was as auspicious as the beginning. He and his engineer Sam are also incredible individuals. read more

We are DIY kind of people, and so we delved into a new-build with an attached ADU in an established neighborhood in Irvine. We prepared our own architectural plans, hired a structural engineer to do the calcs and structural plans, and submitted them to the city. We quickly realized that we were in over our heads, and made a desperate call to the first architect who came up on our google search and who happened to be Ron at Plan and Permit. Ron calmly agreed to take over and work with us, and he and his structural engineers (Farid and Mohommad) got us through the intensely rigorous process of obtaining a building permit. We were down to the wire in terms of time because of our previous attempts to go at it alone, and with a 2-week deadline looming, Ron and team pulled through and helped us get our permit in the nick of time. Ron and team worked well with the City of Irvine, and were responsive to our emails and phone calls, often responding on weekends and after hours when pressing issues surfaced. We're so thankful that our google search led us to Ron. It could have been a nightmare, but we found the right team! read more

5 stars! A++++ I highly recommend Ron with any architectural drawing for home improvement. With a touch of interior design mindset and a taste for modern and updated look, he helped me design my kitchen and home renovation project. He is very responsive and will make himself available via video calls to go over details by details and provide recommendation to your needs. I am impressed with his ability to interject his opinion (goods ones) and tell you what will and will not work aesthetically. He has a keen eye for design. My plan had some changes so the timing took a little longer, but worth the wait. Ron is easy to work with, a good communicator, and gives great advice. read more
