I stopped here for dinner while on a work trip and it was conveniently located off the PA Turnpike on the way to my hotel for the evening. When I pulled into the parking lot, there were hardly any parking spots so I took that as a sign of good food to come! The dining room was pretty full so I headed to the bar and found an end seat. The bartender greeted me with a menu and took my drink order. The place was busy and there didnt seem to be enough wait staff so Im taking a star off from my rating. The bartender was hustling but between bar orders, assisting those sitting at the bar and waiting on the booths, it was pretty hectic. I ordered the double lobster tail with a side salad and mashed potatoes. I was also given a fresh loaf of warm bread to enjoy with my salad. The lobster was divine! Dined at Rodney's last night, was in town visiting family. The placed was packed, but we were seated relatively quickly. I had gnocchi with tomato sauce and meatball, very pleasant. My friend had the Coconut Shrimp and it was yummy. I wasn't impressed with our waitress, she seemed rushed. I would recommend the restaurant for dining. read more

Well it started off wonderful. Good service, great appetizer and food was brought out quickly. Our drinks were almost empty and Adrian our waiter said he'll be back in a moment with refills. We waited. And waited. He came out with something for another table and food for another. When we got his attention he turns and says "I'll keep it in mind." Not what I was expecting. Then when he brought refills he said in a condescending way "Sorry as you can see I have a lot going on." Maybe I'm being a bit critical but it really seemed disrespectful and definitely turned us off from at least ever giving him another try although we may come back to the restaurant. The food was great and wanted dessert as well but we were just done at that point. Saw the manager throughout the evening but then lost track of him when it came time to leave. Told the hostess to tell Adrian his tip would have been much better if he wouldn't have had an attitude over something he said he was going to do and didn't. Aquarium Experience.... We have not been to this restaurant in 10+ years as the menu basically stayed the same and the environment was more like a cafeteria, than anything else. I convinced my husband that we should give it a another try. Our waitress Bobbi was wonderful, and the food was very good... But... We felt like we were lobsters in a tank waiting for someone to choose us! Between Rodney and his cohort in the lavender shirt, it was absolutely ridiculous how often they counted tables and stared you down to try to get you to get up so they could turn the table. We counted and it was less than every minute that they were in the dining room looking to see who would be getting up next. Now, if this was a result of ensuring a good customer experience, well that would've been impressive... But that was not their objective. They solely wanted to turn tables. It really was ashame.. Bobbi was so nice and the food was good, but if I wanted to eat and fun, I would've gone to McDonald's. read more

My husband and I have been to Rodney's a few times. We sat outside on the deck once, in the back room once, and in the front room most recently. We went on a Saturday around 6 and when we arrived were asked if we had reservations. I did not know that we needed to have reservations. Once the waitress took us to our seats, I noticed there were man open tables so I'm not sure what that was about. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Our dinners came out rather quickly, which works for us, I hate sitting to eat too long. I had the coconut shrimp and loaded backed potato, my husband had the Ruben and fries. My meal was fantastic! The shrimp are large and extremely flavorful with/without the sauce. The loaded potato was good. My husbands Ruben and fries were good. He said the sandwich was well balanced, nothing was overloaded on one side or the other. Nice meal, the rooms are well taken care of, the deck is nice, and the bar area looks cozy. First mistake was to not make a reservation on a Saturday night. Extremely busy restaurant. I think the hostess forgot about us and we sat out side and waited for a half hour to 45 minutes. Only upon going in and asking her did they get us in. After that, everything was fantastic great service fantastic food at fair prices. My friend Had the lasagna, it said it was some of the best that he has ever had. I had the fettuccine Alfredo, with grilled shrimp,and it was very good as well. This was a pleasant surprise... We came here for our friend's birthday dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. They serve a varied menu of mostly "Italian-ish" dishes that should be able to accommodate most food palates. If they don't do the trick, some standard pub-type fare also graces the menu, along with a nice salad selection to round out a pretty good set of options. Plus, they have some ever popular appetizers that aren't too shabby, either. My favorite thing about this place is their portions. This place certainly delivers a bang for the buck as every diner at our table brought home an ample lunch for the next day. Just don't forget to leave some room for dessert...they're pretty solid, too and definitely worth a try! All in all...good food...good portions...great value! I looked at menu on here for about 10 minutes so I call the first 5 diners I ordered she tells me uh we don't have that. Ok so I just started ordering regular pizza and shrimp cocktail. The menu's online they don't even have I don't know how to comprehend this. I wish I could give it no stars...this pizza is almost as bad as my ex-husband's! Not to mention the "Italian Hoagie" which if you're curious tastes like my ex-husbands armpit. Hidden right off of Route 30 in Greensburg, this is the perfect place to bring anyone for a delicious, reasonably priced meal. I've been here twice in the past month and was really satisfied both times.The most recent visit was for a birthday lunch. We arrived with a party of 8 and our waitress was attentive and completed all orders correctly. Selections we chose were the club sandwich, Reuben sandwich, Steak, Salmon, and Grilled Chicken Salads, Pasta Fabrizi, Scrod with cole slaw, and mac and cheese for the kid. First, they bring out fresh bread, which is soft and accompanied by soft butter for spread. Wow, was it good, and I'm not even a bread person. I could have eaten an entire basket myself. Our meals came out shortly after. My brother and husband went to town on $2 pumpkin beers, leftover from the season. Some of us tried the soups as well. We had the french onion, tomato basil (chunks of tomato and generously seasoned), and cream of mushroom, which was FILLED with mushroom pieces and tasted somewhat garlicky. If you're into mushrooms, you would love this soup. Nobody tried dessert this time, since we had cake at home. We split the check and for 4 people, the bill came to under $100 for 4 lunches, 4 soups, and 4 alcoholic beverages. The bathrooms were clean and easy to locate. If you're going for dinner, which we experienced the first time here, make sure to make a reservation or you will end up waiting (but well worth it)! read more

We had reservations for 4pm got here 15 minutes early, had our 102 year old grandmother with us, they told us 10 minutes they were pushing tables together 20 minutes later still no tables and this time they said they are waiting to clear out tables. This is why we made reservations. Not sure how long this will end up taking but we have been here 40 minutes so far. Not impressed with the service so far. We just ordered takeout from Rodney's last evening, they have the most delicious but Burbon Glazed Pork Chops and borbon glazed salmon salad, always very clean, recommend this place for dinner and we go here all of the time the food is amazing. On our way home from a trip to Falling Water, my mom and I stumbled upon Rodney's on Yelp. I called ahead of time to make a reservation which they said were all full but that the wait for a walk-in was about 20-25 minutes. We decided to take a chance since the menu looked good. When we arrived, the large parking lot was packed without a single open space which worried us in regards to a long wait but also was assuring that the restaurant is popular. I got out of the car while my mom waited in the car for a space. Because of remodeling the only available entrance was through the side door. If you go while they are still under construction note that the side door takes you into a bar area and that the wall opposite to the side entrance has a door that leads to the main dining area where you will be seated. Our server was very energetic and efficient. She served us both salads to start off with which seemed fresh but had cubed cheese, which I thought was odd, and difficult to eat in a salad, not to mention that the orange cubes seemed to be American which I'm not a fan of and also I believe that the white was mozzarella. After our salads came our appetizer of banana peppers stuffed with spicy Italian sausage and baked with cheese and red sauce. The pepper and says sage we're both very juicy and flavorful. The red sauce was sweet enough that it cooled down the spice from the pepper and sausage but not too sweet. Shortly after, our main dishes arrived. I ordered something that was not actually on the menu. I ordered their gnocchi which usually comes with a red sauce but asked for it Diablo style, which is a spicy tomato cream sauce that is usually paired with the crab ravioli on their menu. The gnocchi were not uniform in size or shape which leads me to believe they were made locally or in house which I appreciate. They were quite dense but still good. The diablo sauce had a nice kick to it but was also sweet and creamy. It also came with a meatball which was cooked well. My mom ordered a shrimp scampi and she was pleased with the size of the shrimp, but more so loved the lemon wine garlic butter that they were served in. She was inclined to drink the sauce alone and claimed that "This is shrimp scampi like [she] remember[s] shrimp scampi!" The restaurant is just you're good traditional small town family restaurant with a good environment and good food. I'd recommend it to anyone who's close by. read more

This restaurant is BY FAR the BEST restaurant around! The food is exceptional, and you get so much for such a good price. We easily always have leftovers, so basically feel like we're getting two meals for the price of one. Literally everything on the menu is incredible, from the salad to the appetizers to the pasta to the steaks. The drinks from the bar are almost always the best. Our favorite Long Island Iced Tea's are served right here. The staff is wonderful. On average, they are better than most other places. We have never had a bad experience with servers or food. This is our very favorite restaurant - from family outings with our many children to special date nights for my husband and myself.... Rodney's is just the best! read more

We were at Rodney's yesterday for lunch and it was great as far as food and service. We decided to go back today for lunch and was there when they opened their doors we were the first customers there and no one waited on us. Two parties came in after us and their waitresses got not only their orders but got them their drinks and we were still waiting. The other waitresses didn't even bother to get us drinks while the other lazy one would come out to wait on us they only were concerned about their tables. So we just got up and left when we in our car the manager came out we left. Very disappointing experience. Went there for my aunts birthday. Had a huge variety to select form. Anywhere from burgers and fries to steak and seafood. Personally, there's something for everyone. They brought out the cake from their own bakery and there was no cleanup. The waitress Susie had the biggest brightest smile on her face. Incredibly friendly and sweet. Walking in made me feel like I was back home at a feel good mom and pop restaurant. The waitress was nice but sadly that's as good as it got. I ordered the chicken parm with pasta. The pasta with the sauce was very bland and the chicken parm itself was at best, average. I went ahead and got dessert thinking it could make me feel like this was more of a sweets place, I was wrong. I went with the apple dumpling which took a couple of minutes to come out. That should've been an indication that it was nuked. The apple in the middle seemed slightly frozen still. When I got the bill I noticed the dessert, which the menu didn't have a price on it, was $7.95!!! That floored me to see how expensive a small warmed up dessert was. I wouldn't suggest ordering any water to the table I watched the waitress refill cups from a pitcher that was touching the tops of every cup, not a comfortable experience in these times.
