Rattlesnake (sangria margarita) is absolutely amazing, one of my favorite cocktails ever and decently strong Nanny Goat was one of the best burgers I've ever had. Cheese fries surprise also amazing and insanely huge portion Lots of street parking and paid parking lots nearby. Fast and friendly service, would definitely come back. Great place for both lunch and dinner/chill night with friends
When planning out me and my friend's itinerary, we were trying to find a food spot that would be close to Truck Yard and I just happened to come across Rodeo Goat on Maps, and it didn't disappoint! Their burger menu was great, and had many different loaded burger options, which I loved! I ended up getting the Sugar Burger which came with the patty, candied bacon, grilled peaches, caramelized onion, and jalapeño jam. The peach was a great addition and added a faint sweet touch to it. The burger also came with a huge side of fries! If you're a burger fan, I would definitely recommend this spot, because there's burger options that would satisfy anyone! It is also right next to Truck Yard, so perfect dinner spot and then you can hop next door for drinks! I also thought service overall was great, and the ambiance was very casual and relaxed.
Super good burger and ambiance. Food came out immediately, so fast service. Solid rodeo theme commemorating Houston Rodeo performances. Not a ton of beers in the draft selection, but they do have some dark ones--if you like (512)'s Pecan Porter! Smaller burger, more stuff going on flavor wise. Good things. Unexpected things... The blue cheese burger ("luv ya blue")had a strong clove and other spices in a coleslaw that was very delicate and delicious, in a brioche bun, with a really juicy beef patty. The clove was a curveball, and it was a really memorable, perhaps even bright tasting burger.
During a conference my coworkers and I walked here. When we walked up we were a bit confused as to where to go because the hostess station is in the far back of the restaurant. We had a great time here as the weather was perfect to sit outside. Our waiter was great even though he disappeared after we got our food. I loved the different options of burgers and I chose the one with the blueberry compote. The bun was toasted and soft and meat was cooked to perfection. The fries came hot and crispy in some places. If I was back downtown I would come back hands down.
The burgers are on the smaller side here but I love the selection! It was my first time here but the friends I came with all generally agreed that the burgers were smaller than they remembered (not sure if there's been a downsizing over time or if they had larger portions from other locations). I went for The Luv Ya Blue, which had great flavor and texture from the bleu cheese slaw. The waiter recommended it cooked Medium Well. I also ordered the Salted Caramel Pretzel milkshake and saw stars with how good it was- I would come back for the milkshakes alone. The pairing was also suprisingly good. There's decent street parking and a paid lot across from the restaurant. Sit outside during the cooler nights, the patio is spacious and they have a few games like Ring Swing and Connect Four. I do wish the portion sizes were a little bigger but this is a great place for a fun date night or a casual outing with friends. NEW FAVORITE BURGER PLACE!!!!! First time visiting and we were blown away. Loved that it was inside & outside. There were fun games for everyone to play with such as Hook & Ring and giant Connect 4. DOG FRIENDLY!!!! Our server Morgan was awesome and gave great recommendations. We got the Bodacious burger, Billy F Gibbons burger, & Homemade Goat Chips. Morgan gave us a sample of the goat chips before we decided to order them. Highly recommend this place!!
Service was amazing. We sat at the bar, the employee of the month is exactly that and for a reason. Both ladies behind bar were working so hard and doing it well. Our bartender was amazing and attentive. We got the loaded fries with brisket chili, I'm not sure we would get these again. We expected a BED of chili to where we could scoop it up and eat it, I ordered this as my meal so I was a little sad when there was not enough chili to actually eat, it's a thin layer of chili, a ton of fries (which were so good) and then all the fixins. I think it's good it tasted great, it just wasn't exactly what we expected on the chili side of things. My husband got the Hot Bastard burger and loved it. It looked gooooood too! I ended up getting a mini slider for some protein and that burger was . Come for the burgers & maybe stay for the fries too We watched sports, watched the people outside too haha. Outdoor seating and games available. Cute spot. Will be back!
Walked in at lunch time as part of the ACHE convention that has 7,000 attendees and they were busy but had things under control. Nice outside patio and large welcoming indoor area too. I sat at the inside bar. My order was taken in quickly and came out in just under 15 minutes. The burger was very good, know that when you order a burger that's all you get. I ordered the sweet potato fries and they were cooked perfectly but were over salted to me. I knocked some of it off and they were fine. The burger was juicy, the bun was soft, and the egg was cooked just enough to not create a total mess but enough to add the creaminess.
Tried Rodeo Goat and got the Bodacious Burger -- really tasty and a great value at $13. The burger was flavorful, satisfying, and definitely worth the price. It was extremely busy when I went, especially inside, with people waiting for tables and a pretty hectic atmosphere. I ordered pickup, and it was ready right away, which made things much easier. One thing to keep in mind: parking was full during that time, so I had to use the paid parking lot across the street. If you're going on a Saturday, expect crowds and plan ahead. Great burger, but be ready for the rush.
Rodeo Goat is one of my go-tos for burgers in Houston. It has a wide range of all incredible burgers with a high variety of flavor profiles all with super fresh and high quality ingredients. I think I could close my eyes point to a random burger and be genuinely impressed and satisfied. The fries are also delicious! Great drink specials and a really nice vibe to go and chill after work or enjoy a weekend day. The service has always been super friendly and high quality. My constructive feedback would be to have a person walk you to a table as it can take a little bit to get service as you seat yourself. It's a communication opportunity more than a complaint here. Do come to Rodeo Goat!!
Rodeo Goat is tucked behind the George R Brown Convention Center, on what some people might call the wrong side of downtown, but it's well worth making the effort. I walked there, but there looked to be ample parking. It was reasonably busy, but I found a seat at the bar and was quickly served. I ordered the Chaca Oaxaca burger with sweet potato fries, and I ordered well. These folks are doing good work.
This place is a go-to for a solid burger in the EaDo area! I've been here about 2 times already and both times I was super pleased with what I got (I don't quite remember what I got in the picture). As someone who doesn't typically pick burgers as their meal of choice, especially when going out to eat, I'd always agree to come back here because of how good the food is. Service is usually pretty quick to take your order, but when it's busy it is a bit harder to feel attended to and flag down a waiter (which is completely understandable). This is an extremely casual spot and is great for pre-game meals. Parking is a bit tricky because of the location. You can get lucky with street parking or park in the metered lot across the street. I'd highly recommend this place as a must-try for burgers in Houston though especially if you find yourself in the area.
This place lives up to the hype so much that I had no issue going again when a different friend asked to go!!! Both nights I came it was easy to seat ourselves at a table and get served. Inside is great but they have great outdoor space with that ring game a lot of bars have. All the servers were super nice. The first time I got the river oaks cc and the second time I got the royals with cheese which I loved more than the river oaks!!! The beef was delicious and I loved the jalapeño spice. We got the cheese fries both nights which is a massive platter with plenty to share!!! Overall loved my experience and would highly recommend.

Yes so my son had been telling me about this place for awhile now and I finally went with him. They have a great selection of different burgers and it was hard to choose just one because a lot of them sounded great. They also have two burgers to choose from that are in competition and keep a scoreboard of which one is ordered more which I thought was kinda cool. The food was good for sure. I would definitely go back. I ordered the whiskey burger and it was flavorful. I split the cheese bacon fries with my son. They were good too. My friend and I dropped in one cold Texas night, so the place was virtually empty. Texans don't like the cold! The waitstaff, however, was a warm friendly guy that was more than happy to run down their extensive menu. We both settled on the Firebird sandwich - a flavorful, albeit super spicy, chicken sandwich cooled down with a nice coleslaw topping. Loved it! The accompanying fries were pretty good. I do not love having to pay $15 for parking, but it was worth it. It's a fun atmosphere. Our server was nice, but some of the other staff were a bit snarky. The food is really good. We got the loaded fries, which were huge and delicious p. Definitely hand cut fries. I got the love ya blue with a veggie patty. They make their own veggie patties, and they do a great job. Our food was excellent. We started off with the cheese fries no surprise which was so large and way more than we could eat. I tried the Saddle Up Burger that was part of the Burger Battle. It was excellent and I really enjoyed the candied bacon. It was super messy though so I ended up eating it with a fork. The location was great as we were headed to a baseball game after. There were plenty of other baseball fans eating as well. We were lucky enough to get seated right away and service was excellent. read more

Rodeo Goat closed out the night with a vibe that was entirely too good for a Tuesday, but we weren't complaining. We grabbed dinner here -- I can't remember exactly which burger we ordered, but just know it was hitting enough that neither one of us paused to take a picture. I had the regular fries, Fancy had the sweet potato fries, and both came out hot, seasoned, and ready for business. Honestly, the food alone is a reason to come back. We chose to sit at the outside bar, which was absolutely the move. The breeze was perfect, the lighting gave the whole space that warm, social glow, and the energy felt like a grown-folks field trip -- playful, relaxed, and just the right amount of lively without being chaotic. Haley and Zariah were our bartenders, and they carried the night. Friendly, quick, and effortlessly cool -- the kind of service that makes you feel taken care of without being hovered over. And of course, the infamous Moontang made its appearance. If you've never had it, just imagine taking a childhood juice pouch, sending it to college, and dropping it off at Freaknik. A neon-orange frozen drink that is sweet, strong, and a little bit disrespectful... exactly how it should be. Giving this place 5 stars because everyone finished their meals and was happy! Our server Collin was fantastic - prompt, polite and patient with our group of 10 including 5 kids. We ordered the Billy Gibbons, Truffle Shuffle, Bodicius and kids burgers - zero complaints! I had the cowboy cobb and it was yum! Came on a Sunday so got to enjoy $3 mimosas on the patio too!! LOVED this spot! It's a cool little place with a really cool outdoor area. The indoor area isn't super big, but still has a surprising amount of tables. They had a ton of delicious burgers on the menu with swap out options for the meat. I was able to get the Nanny Goat with herb goat cheese, Bibb lettuce, beefsteak tomato, onion, and garlic-herb mayo on an Impossible burger which was delicious. We also had some delicious queso. They had a great tap list! The server gave me a great recommendation for a local IPA which was appreciated. read more
Rodeo Goat is ok for burgers the wait was about 20 min for 2 burgers and fries it wasn't busy . The burgers are fresh but they are not great , it's decent place to try but not a fan of the burgers the sweet potato fries were good. The ambiance calm it wasn't busy at all just needs more flavor and if I'm going to wait 20 min for a burger the cheese should at least be fully melted . read more
I have a rule that I don't go to the same restaurant twice when I'm visiting. I almost broke that rule because this place and their burgers are friggin amazing! Big place with a rodeo house style atmosphere. I just came in for pick up and glad because I was able to scarf this down in privacy. Quick honest time pick up process. Fast and hot Juicy, flavorful, crispy well seasoned fries soft buttery bun... blueberry compote just right. Maaaaan you need to go here. It is perfection. read more

I give this restaurant 4 stars because it gives its definition and really represent Texas where bigger is better! Those fries was so full of Flavor and this place is easy to spot! Parking is cramped though. The service was top notch even though it was busy and the Ambience was so full of life! When arriving, you seat yourself but you will have someone come and take your order. The service was friendly and I have no complaints. This place has been on my radar for a long time and finally decided to visit with a few friends. The price point is fair and we all left very satisfied with our burger choice and sides. This was my first stop during my trip to Houston. Located behind the convention center, it's a short walk through nothingness to get there. There's a nice outdoor area with self seating. Honestly I didn't go inside but quite enjoy my stay at a picnic table. I got the billy f gibbons burger, fries (not included), and two different ciders. The server was very friendly and patient. I'm always excited for places with draft cider on their menu. Both drinks were delicious and food great too. Prices were decent. They offer a happy hour although we missed it. Definitely a fun, casual little place to hang on a nice day. read more

I am in town for a conference and came here because of the good reviews but I was really underwhelmed. I was starving so didn't take a pic of my full burger but what is pictured is half of what I got. The burger itself took up less than half the bun but there were thick fried eggs on top of my Chaca Oaxaca burger. More egg than burger. The burger itself is cooked well done, which is also not great. Sweet potato fries super salty, couldn't taste the sweetness. Overall, very average. Located on Main Street EaDo. Chaotic area on a good day. There's interior and outdoor seating available. Pretty casual spot but the burger is a solid burger. Got their "steaming pile" and El Dorado burger. Their tator tots was paired well with the toppings and the burger had an interesting flavor profile. Service is fairly minimal for sit down service.
