So sad I waited so long to visit, but as most breakfast type places they close early, so the weekend are the only time I could even try to get there. My breakfast was great and the service was friendly. The cinnamon french toast was amazing and is so sweet you can eat it without syrup. I also got scrambled eggs, which normally makes me nervous, because so many places don't cook them all the way. These were the best cooked scrambled eggs I have had in the Fresno/Clovis area. At Rodeo Coffee Shop you can get an awesome old school breakfast. This ain't no IHOP or Denny's. The portions are huge, the biscuits and gravy are tasty and the coffee cups never go empty. I went there on a crowded Sunday morning. This really got my hopes up as I consider it a bad sign when restaurants are empty. This is the kind of home-style breakfast place you see in the movies. Every bite has at least one crispy golden brown exterior side and a tender cooked all the way through center with a hint of butter flavor. Each time I have eaten here (5-6 breakfasts, 1 lunch), the food has been excellent, prepared to my specs and served hot. Usually, this presents a dilemma: suffer in silence or risk the wrath of the server and/or the cook. But here, no problem, no attitude, no long wait ... and I had crispy bacon. So now i need to update my review....i come here for the gravy and biscuits but the customer service just is not present at the rodeo cafe. Went in for breakfast this morning and the pork sausage patty just did not sit well for my husband (i called not to complain but to bring awarness to the situation) instead i was pretty much just shrugged off and told that these symptoms dont happen that fast we ate at 9am and its 3 now altogethet a 6hour period yet told it would take 10 to 15hours for food poisoning to kick in....for being a manager he was not helpful at all. read more

Best breakfast in Clovis! Chili verde omelet is my favorite, with their homemade chunky salsa. Sometimes I'll change it up with the enchilada omelet. For lunch we've come in for the club sandwich, the thick cut bacon makes this sandwich tasty! Add a slice of their homemade pie for later. read more

I've been coming here off and on for over 20 years. over time, there have been other cafe's come and go that were better, worse, etc. i was here on monday and i have to say that Rodeo has the best biscuits and gravy in Clovis. they were number 2, to the previous owners of BS Cafe but the new owners have changed the food for the negative . So, new favorite place in town is Rodeo ! the gravy is smooth and nice. the biscuits are biscuits, not dough blobs or muffins that BJ's or Sandy's serve. The food is genuine old school comfort food served by genuinely nice people . not 16 year olds . Stopped in for a late breakfast, 5 minutes before closing. No worries, no rush. Friendly service. Food arrived. Large ham and cheese omelette. A lot of ham and the cheese seemed like slices. Would have been better with shredded cheese and maybe some onions and other goodies. Hash browns were just the way I like them, cooked until brown as the name implies. Since the Keurig came along I have become a coffee snob but this place had excellent coffee. Best part of all....mixed fruit jelly for my English muffin. Mixed fruit is a rare find nowadays. A few times a year we get at least four generations of men together for breakfast. We had previously gone to a different old town Clovis breakfast restaurant. Recently a work friend who lives in Clovis told me to take the fellas here. We tried it out; my grandson said it was too early he would go next time. Our server was Debbie; she seemed very busy. Kelly was the only other server; she helped us a couple times. The guy behind the grill was a young guy with a groomed (design) beard. Everyone agreed the food was excellent. I thought I would try something different, as I love to give local establishments business. Wandering into the Rodeo Coffee Shop with my daughter, I was immediately brought back to the old breakfast coffee shops my grandpa used to take me to. It's nicely decorated with random Indian stuff befitting old town Clovis, and the restaurant was very clean. I noticed the huge portions, which is always nice. The staff was friendly and clean, however they were EXCEPTIONALLY slow with no apologies, excuses, or acknowlegement that we sat there for over 5 minutes without anyone taking our order and it was another 10 before our breakfast burrito and French toast was ready - both of these acceptable if the place was crowded and the waitresses weren't standing right in front of us having other conversations, but this wasn't the case. When the food finally came, it was very good and hot, and we weren't able to finish. I give 3 stars because of the speed which can be crucial, but if that was improved it would be a 4.5. read more

I'm giving this place 4 stars but let's say it deserves 4-1/2 stars. The interior was really old but it was clean. The waitress was slow because everything was cooked fresh. We waited the extra minutes because we wanted fresh made biscuits. Yum! The cream gravy rocked, the eggs were cooked as per my specs, my friend's French toast was great. The only thing was, FAKE maple syrup? Ugh, the salsa smelled old not fresh. They kept my coffee hot and coming and so I'm recommending this place. They only serve breakfast and lunch, after that they roll up the sidewalk. So get there early to see the cowboys and farmers come in for the latest gossip and hot cakes. I wasn't much of a breakfast person and then I came here for the first time and now I wake up wanting breakfast but not just any breakfast.. the rodeo cafe breakfast! Their enchilada omelet is unlike anything else and great for those who want something savory in the morning. Their french toast is THE best french toast i've ever eaten and great for those wanting something sweet in the morning. Is it weird that their orange juice is even better than any where else i've ever had? No, because that's what you can expect here..food and drinks better then you've ever tasted them before. They've been around a long time and you can tell. The waitresses are nice and informative. It's in old town clovis which i just think is the cutest area and perfect for this breakfast spot! This review is not about the quality of the food at Rodeo Coffee Shop as I have been patiently waiting to get back there since the Coronavirus pandemic began. Used to go there a lot and, in spite of an occasional drop off in service, I have liked their food. I finally went back there recently and to my surprise, they were not following COVID-19 guidelines at all. The restaurant was busy inside and outside, and neither patrons or staff were wearing face masks in order to protect one another from COVID-19. I understand patrons cannot wear face masks while seated at their table to eat, but at least they should be wearing them to enter and exit. And there is no excuse for staff, including servers, cooks and bus boys to not wear masks as we're trying to slow down the spread of COVID-19. Are the owners and staff sending the message that they really don't care about Covid-19 and the safety of their patrons or themselves. I went by there again today and observed the same violations. I'm sorry but I won't be returning to this restaurant that I have always liked any time soon unless they conform to the required guidelines during this pandemic. And they aren't the only restaurant in Clovis that are scoffing at the rules and the safety of their customers. read more

o man i was hungry as hell when i got here.. they did not disappoint me one bit.. the only reason its not a 5 star would be that the steakburger i ordered was a little over seasoned.. but shoot i had so much leftover ridiculous.. and not bad leftovers.. delicious leftovers.. enormous amount of potatoes and very tasty.. would for sure come back to this place.. was a little weird to get to because its semi hidden.. the sign is quite hard to see but well worth it.... Hashbrowns were just squashed potatoes and fried ,like the cook was too lazy to shred more potatoes it was 11 in the day but they serve breakfast all day waitress was very very good everything was super greasy the only thing that was good Where is the eggs. PANCAKES here are amazing...crispy edges, warm fluffy on the inside. The potatoes (both hashbrowns and the house fries are super yummy too). Food took a while but it was well worth the wait. read more
