Not a creature was stirring . . . Rodent Stop, as a service delivered, is the best, most thorough and effective service I have ever enjoyed. The project was my mother's house. Not a hoarder my mom but, at 100 years, living in the family house since 1948, stuff had built up. I knew there were rats in the house but as she took care of the VietNam veteran son, my beloved brother, the gold standard of men, a sound engineer of almost all the music we hear and consumed by PTSD until he was gone, the problem got worse. I'm only reviewing my initial encounter with Rodents Stop's representative who came to our house to give us a quote for attic insulation removal and replacement. First, she went up to our attic and came down in no more than 1 minute. (no exaggeration here). How do you survey a whole attic in 1 minute? No pictures were taken while up in the attic to show us her findings - because obviously, how could she in less than a minute? Second, when I asked her what type of insulation material they use, she had no idea the names/types of materials nor the thickness. She said she doesn't know those small details as she does not do the actual labor. Small details? Aren't those details important when you're trying to sell your service? Third, she could not give us a price quote herself. She had to call her boss to get the price quote. What kind of service representative comes to your house with no autonomy and relies heavily on her boss (who was not physically present) to answer all the customer's questions? Oh, and the price quote she gave us? They charge 3x more than other attic insulation companies. So, my first impression of this company....very very poor. The representative is obviously not well informed (or not informed at all) of their own products or supplies PLUS they charge a ridiculous amount of money. I had a terrible rat problem in the attic and crawl space of my home. I called Rodent Stop and a very helpful estimator came out and assessed the problem. Although the remedy was expensive, it was necessary and they did a fantastic job. The staff was extremely professional andv explained everything they were doing. Great job! Rodent Stop came back multiple times until they had eradicated all rodents and sealed every entrance point. My attic is a complex arrangement with access only through the ceiling for the area with most rodent activity. They cut a hole in the ceiling and sent a guy right in, found the largest nest, sealed all entry points and cleaned it all up. Rodent Stop was the third and last company I had called. Competitors placed their traps within arms reach of the attic access door but did nothing else and did not catch a single rodent. I could hear the rats having a party.
