What a great experience I had with rodent stop. I've been battling rats for about 2 years now and after hiring numerous pest control companies that clearly didn't know what they were doing. Fraud, deceiving, blood suckers..I contact this company based on the great reviews, about some dropping I found outside my front door, I was concerned to make sure rats are not inside my house. They send someone to look at it. This guy didn't check the actual area, he asked to see the attic came down in a minute and showed me some photos with droppings on the attic floor and he went on to convince me that the problem was bigger then I though. He gave me an estimates of $6000+, based on the size of my house not the actual problem. I worried because I don't want nasty intruders and the shocking price to fix .. When my husband came home I asked him to go up at the attic and see if any signs of rodent. He spent at least 5 minutes, he checked the whole attic. Our attic insulation was dirty and had been soiled by some tree rats that managed to gain entry. We had previously contacted a different service that had been highly recommended. A rep from that company came out, spent five minutes in the attic, didn't even measure the area for pricing purposes and said we would get an estimate via e mail by the end of the day - but we didn't. After we contacted them we did get an estimate/contract. We e mailed back with a question about the contract but never heard from them again.So we called Rodent Stop. The RS salesman spent about 25 minutes here. Did a walk around the exterior of the house identifying possible areas of intrusion, measured the attic space, and inspected the crawl space and attached garage. We got a quote in a day. It was significantly more than the quote from the previous company but they did honor a 10% discount mentioned on their website. Also, the initial contract they sent specified R30 insulation instead of the R38 which the sales rep indicated would be used. When we pointed that out they apologized and sent a revised contract, priced the same. (If you use them read the contract terms carefully.) RS removed and disposed of all the old insulation, sealed all the potential points of critter entry, vacuumed the entire attic, sprayed some rodent deterrent and put in all new insulation. During the four weeks between the cleaning and new insulation install they came back three times to check the traps they set to make sure there were no critters left. None were found. The workers were all great, easy to work with and very accommodating. HOWEVER, there were some minor things that were part of the experience that I should mention. During the attic cleaning, some dust and dirt rained down through the seams in the living rooms vaulted wood ceiling and covered all the furniture and rugs. RS offered to hire a service to clean it and gave us the option of using our own service which is what we did and they gave us a $200 credit. When they did future work they tarped the entire living room. On the morning of the scheduled insulation install they called to reschedule because the insulation was not available and apologized for the delay. When they came back two days later we pointed out that the insulation they brought with them was R30 and not the contracted R38. Again they apologized and two hours later the R38 insulation arrived and was installed. Even though they are expensive and there were some glitches, they did a quality job and we would consider using them again but hopefully will never need them read more

No one wants a rat problem, but if you do, don't call anyone else. It's not cheap! I had several quotes some less, some more...but the fact is they will get the job done right and give you a lifetime warranty because they stand behind their work. Most companies do not know what they are doing. they will leave out poison or just seal up openings and reinsulate your home and leave you with dead rats in your walls, to stink up your house and cost you money trying to find where they are hidden. Hey y'all! So I will preface this being a pretty expensive service but it's really worth it so hear me out. My attic was infested with mice, the air ducts and insulation were chewed through, asbestos was circulating for who knows how long up there, AND they showed me all the little openings in my attic the mice were coming through. Rodent Stop?, more like Rodent Poop. Unprofessional and unreliable. Had set an appointment one week in advanced for a two hour window this morning. Had verified my appointment yesterday through a technician's text message for this morning. Come this morning, I'm sitting waiting beyond the two hours that they scheduled me for. Tried calling their office 10+ times, and even the number that texted me. No answer. Eventually got through to the office, and their excuse was, "Sorry everything was backed up, and we cannot get ahold of the technician scheduled for your inspection today. The manager says the technician lost his phone in the attic this morning..." How does that make sense? How does the manager know that the technician lost his phone in the attic if he cannot be reached in the first place? Please explain. If the technician is unable to make it, at least give a courtesy call so I'm not wasting my morning. Thats what I call an unreliable company. Manage your employees and have them follow through. They represent your company, and so far, its not looking bright for your future. For our home inspection, Scott was the tech who came out and he was wonderful. He took photos, explained everything to us and showed us proof that we had rodents (which we already knew). As all the other reviews state, the pricing is really high (as noted, what you are essentially paying for is the lifetime service for the structure) and we were able to negotiate down a bit, which was great. Scott acknowledged that we could use new insulation and that they provide that service, but he didn't push it. We chose not do install new insulation. We scheduled the work to be done the following week, although they had openings within a day or two. The work crew texted me when they were about 30 minutes away and arrived on time (around 7am). Israel was the project manager, and Roberto and Lionel were the guys doing the nitty gritty.
