Once is definitely enough my in my book and wall. My son just few in from Fort Benning, Georgia and he is used to sleeping in the field with all sorts of critters during Infantry Officer Leadership Course, so we weren't too worried about him. His girlfriend just flew in from her University Study Abroad Program in Paris, so we definitely did not want her to smell a dead rat in our house. Thankfully the dead rat smell was contained in the master bedroom area. Yesterday my husband and I frantically started calling companies to do a dead rat inspection on Monday, December 20, 2021. The Rodent Professor said they could come out the next day and let me tell you we are so thankful. Jason was so knowledgeable and checked it out. He explained that it was going to be a losing battle tearing up our wall trying to find the rat that died there. Things were going to improve soon and my bowls of vinegar, baking soda and candles were definitely helping. Febreze plug-ins are definitely NOT the way to go. We decided not to tear up the wall. Thank you to the Rodent Professor! We had purchased our house around a year ago and noticed some of the vents had small holes surrounding the house and kind of put off fixing it. Well, we learned our lesson now and Jason saved us! A month ago we started hearing scratching a thumping sounds on the room of our bedroom where isn't even attic space and it would wake me up at night. He could not do perform a removal for me since I have a tile roof and no attic, but he sprayed some rodent repellent on the breached area to protect the area until a roofer could arrive. We discovered that we had rats in the attic when our current pest control service offered a free inspection for termites. They gave us an estimate of $16,000 to replace all the insulation, seal up all the entry points and set traps. We were shocked! I got two other companies to give me quotes on the rats and termites separately and chose Rodent Professors to do the "rat exclusion" and I'm glad I did. They weren't the lowest bid but they were nowhere near the initial shocker of a bid! Joseph came out for the initial inspection. He was very thorough. He took photos of various entry points throughout our house from attic to garage. I was glad he said they could vacuum and treat the current insulation. For the first time in 28 years we found mouse droppings in our garage and in our upstairs office where my husband had been snacking. We called Rodent Professor for a free inspection. I had to move the appointment a couple hours and they were very good to accommodate us. They sent out Nate to inspect the following day as he was in the area for another appointment and Nate was good to call us to follow-up on the exact time of arrival, about an hour before arriving. We asked him to wear booties when going inside and he was happy to accommodate us. Nate asked a series of questions, did a thorough inspection of the outside of the house, the garage and the attic and within minutes spotted the entry points and ruled out any activity in the attic. He stated what the solution to the entry would be and that the problem would be solved with a list of remedies we could do on our own which included but was not limited to covering the dryer vent, sealing the garage side door with cedar wood, cutting down our 8 foot bird of paradise, and calling the garage professionals to replace the large garage door seals. Had a great experience with Rodent Professor, and would whole-heartedly recommend them, especially our specialist Joseph. We had been hearing rodents in our walls and attic for a little while, and had actually hired a different company prior to calling Rodent Professor. This other company came by and did exclusions on our property and laid traps, but after several weeks of still hearing the rodents and without catching everything, they essentially told us that they couldn't figure out where the noises were still coming from. So we called around, and got quotes from several other companies, and eventually we hired Rodent Professor. Joseph, the specialist / team lead that they sent out was incredibly detailed, friendly, and professional. He showed us all of the things that the first company had missed in their exclusion, and pointed out things that his team would do differently / better. Within a few days, the team came out and they patched a bunch of holes in the property that the first guy missed. The whole process was fairly quick and painless -- both my wife and I work from home, so the guys were here while we were working, and they were very respectful of our needs to get our own work done while they got theirs done. I had some renovations done and there ended up being some noise coming from the attic after about 8 months, so I was worried the mice came back. I reached out to the company and they sent Jason back for a check-up within a couple days. He checked the old traps and added a new one, just in case. He found that noise was most likely coming from the turbines and I'm probably in the clear. We had a terrible experience with Rodent Professor and ended up paying another pest control company to resolve our rodent issue. Problems included: * Coming into our home with wet boots covered in mud leaving stains on our beige colored carpet upstairs. * They don't provide any sort of arrival window when scheduling (only an entire day) and only provide a 10 mins heads up when arriving -- compared with the new company who provide a 2 hour window for arrival. * Inability to find all holes where the rodents were entering -- Rodent Stop kept pushing the blame onto trees and then plumbing, meanwhile the replacement company found a whole (with the telltale grease marks) where the rats were entering the building. * No regular trap checkups, basically relying on us to hear sounds/smells for them to visit. I suggest you look to another company, there are better ones out there! read more

We had rodents make their way into our house and were completely freaked out. We called Rodent Professor on a Saturday and they had Jason come and do a no-cost inspection and give us estimate on Sunday. Jason did a very thorough inpection inside our house, in the attic and in the crawlspace, throughout the outside perimeter, the garage, and our backyard. He identified several entry points that the rodents had boroughed into and showed us the tell-tell signs of rodents: droppings and urine. He moved refrigerators, gas range, and furniture. The awful critters burroughed through the cabinets and the walls. Jason assured us that he could solve our problem and that the fumigation they used was pet-friendly ... something that was important to us because we have a dog. We scheduled their services and Jason and his team, Miguel and Diego, spent an entire 10 hour day at our house fumigating, sanitizing, cleaning, and sealing all entry points with wire mesh, cement, and wood slats. They "intruder proofed" all our interior doors so they were completely sealed when closed. We were comfortable enough with their professionalism to leave them alone in our house and they did an amazing and super-complete job leaving no stone, corner, or entry point unturned. They also left behind professional quality traps in the attic, the crawlspace, and some strategically placed inside the house. Jason and his team promised to come back if there are any casualties, but so far it's been three days and we have not seen any evidence of the rodents. I would highly recomend Rodent Professor to anyone facing this issue. Joseph came out same day to give us an inspection and estimate - which was very quick - compared to the OTHER major brand pest control service, which took a week. Joseph's inspection was far more thorough and detailed, including getting up on the roof, when Terminix wouldn't even inspect those areas. I was impressed with how fast, but more importantly, how efficient they were with their initial processes. The estimate they gave covered more services than what was offered by the major National pest service, and was just about half the price. I was able to schedule the service for the day after the inspection. This was extremely fast and i was pleasantly surprised when we were able to have the problem taken care of this quickly. In a world of everything being delayed by weeks, since C-19, it was nice to be able to schedule something quickly. The service was performed by Diego, Victor, and Emanuel. They showed up on time, performed their duties very diligently, and did a great job. All in all, they performed a house exclusion (closing all holes around the house that rodents might be able to get into), and a full attic disinfection, cleaning, vacuuming, and de-odorization between the hours of 9:30-2pm. The best part is that they cleaned up after themselves, too. There's nothing worse than when the people you hire to do work on your house come by, leave a mess, and then take off before cleaning up after themselves. We definitely had rats in the house and decided to try Rodent Professor. Within a few days, Joseph came and inspected the house for access points. The next week Joseph came with his crew of three (unfortunately, whose names I have forgotten) to close off all existing access points and lay traps to catch any rats that are already in the house. (We have no attic or insulation that needed to be dealt with.) The crew also cleaned up existing rat droppings. We arranged all this with Kunzul in the office.
