This Ace really is a little gem in Greenville. So convenient when you need something without having to go over to Target or one of the bigger stores. They have a lot to offer for a hardware store from cleaning products to grills, outdoor patio furniture, pet food etc. They even have little toys, gifts, gadgets, snacks and drinks over by the checkout. U-Haul rentals are a breeze here and their employees are always friendly. Also a great place to buy plants for the garden, hanging flowers, soil, seeds.. definitely a solid store. They will explain everything to you and make suggestions as to what you need or what else you need to do. They have a large range of products which when I first came here stunned me. A hardware store might not be the sexiest place in town, but I have to admit that I love this place. There has never been a time when I entered the store without being greeted. The staff is available and helpful, without being pushy. When I visit a hardware store, I am most likely looking for something specific. It's nice to know that I'll be directed - escorted, actually - to the right aisle without having to wander aimlessly. Their inventory appears to equal that of the bigger, box store rivalries, as they always have what I need. Most recently, I had keys made. I had tried four places previously, including the nation's largest retailer and the aforementioned box store. In each case, I was told that my car key could not be copied and that I would need to go to the dealer. Rocky's copied the key for me, along with several others. This is my 'Go To' hardware store and it should be yours, too! Rocky's is family owned and it shows. It's easy location and ample parking lot make visiting a breeze. read more

There were two occasions when I brought a screen in for repair. It was not a big job, just a small screen for a regular size casement window. So the first time was in 2020 just after businesses reopened post covid and I went in and they said "we are not repairing screens because of, get this, Covid". Ok. I left and went to Salk's Ace hardware and it was done in 2 weeks. People were friendly and shopped there for other items and that was it. So fast forward to July 20, 2022! I bring same screen in to old Rocky's Hardware and the excuse us "were to backed up". Well that's a slap in the face. Twice ! I said I'm in no rush and he ignored me and walked away. I looked around and left. Not buying anything. The people in line heard the curt response middle aged man black hair and as I walked out I said last time I came here. Never again. Never went to Salk's hardware AGAIN. Will be ready in 2 weeks. read more

On Feb 24th I brought in my broken basement window to have 1 of the 2 panes replaced. I called on March 23rd to check to see if it was ready. The guy on the phone asked me to hold on so he could check. When he came back on he said that they couldn't find it and asked if I could hold on. Again when: he came back on he said that it was ready. I asked if he could tell me how much that would be so I knew how much to bring with me. He said he would check and call me back, BUT NOT TO COME IN TILL HE CALLED ME TOMORROW. So when he didn't call me back ,I called him on March 25th and GUESS WHAT...IT WAS NOT FIXED. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I AM NOT AT ALL HAPPY! WILL NOT DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN. UNRELIABLE!! read more
