Earlier this year I called and asked about having my window screens re-screened. They said that they offer this service and to drop them off whenever I choose to. I dropped 7 screens off on Wednesday and they said it should take about a week. Two days later on Friday I was called and told my screens were ready. 7 screens, under $200 and done in two days. This is a great store. I came here to pick up my boxwood tree kit so that Mike and I could make a boxwood tree and decorate it. It is sponsored by the Rhode Island historical society and is a great way to spend an afternoon when you are unlock down. When I walked into the store I saw all of the boxwood trees that were decorated so beautifully. I always wanted a box with tree but had never bought one for myself. These were outstanding. Next year I won't be making one I will be going back here. They had other Christmas decorations that were handmade and designed and they were just stunning. I walked around the store because I needed something to put together my Christmas lights and I noticed that they had everything you could possibly want from the hardware store. The store is much larger than it appears and they had paint and they had toys and they had kitchen ware and appliances and gifts. And it's attached to an auto supply store so it's pretty much a one stop shop. I was greeted at the door by someone and helped to find what I needed. What's worse than a soggy toilet rug on a Sunday morning (and no, you didn't have an accident you can't remember)? What's worse? A major hardware supply house (won't say the name but begins with the letter "L"), who didn't have what I needed and suggested I call the manufacturer of my toilet. It turns out that the rubber washers between the tank and the bowl had let go, and VOSE was the only local supplier who had the parts! Where it took me 5 minutes to take the toilet apart, my parts from Vose only took me 2 1/2 minutes to re-assemble...and it works absolutely perfect now!!! Oh and yea, the price was the same as the big store, except at Vose the guy knew what he was talking about. This is my very first Yelp review, but I feel it's important to stand up for the little guy (little hardware store) when it is deserved. Granted, they've given me great service previously, but I've be negligent in posting a Yelp review. My Bad. It's now time to give credit where credit is due. So, are you looking for some obscure part, maybe a water alarm for your basement, or fittings for your toilet? Well, don't complain that I didn't tell you where to go *first*! read more

I love this hardware store. All the people that work here are always so nice, and so helpful. They step up and offer to help with something before even being asked. So nice to shop a place where all have great attitudes and a smile. I live in Massachusetts and there are a couple of closer places to us, but it's worth the trip to go there. Also, they always have anything we need. That little store is packed, and their prices are very good. Much more reasonable than many other places around. If you need something...........go there. You will be glad you did. Once when I went there I was looking for the handle for my very old toilet, which has a shorter handle arm than most of todays toilets. Didn't have the shorter one, which is what I needed. When I asked if I would be able to cut the one I was looking at, the worker there offered to cut it down for me, and he did. Just a great place to go. Most places would have answered the question, but not taken care of it for you. Seriously............if you need something, go to VOSE hardware. read more

Amazing. Somehow this place looks so small rom the front but they have everything! Really inexpensive and better quality. I bought numerous LED bulbs for a couple bucks each. They were twice as much at Lowes. I bought mousetraps that proved to be far superior to the ones i bought at Home Depot. I go here once a month now... read more

Great, old-fashioned family run hardware store. They have a little bit of everything and some things you didn't even think of. Most everyone that works there are family (literally) and friendly. They are very helpful with all your odd ball questions and requests. Definitely good folks!!! read more
