**horrible customer service** ***refund policy is…read morepathetic** ordered scotts fertilizer on the web for pickup at this location. web said it will be ready in 15 minutes. when i arrived at the store, the manager informed me their inventory was wrong and product will arrive in five days, this coming wednesday. i decided to cancel the-order and receive my refund, but was told because the item has shipped to the store they can't refund me until it arrives, which isn't for almost a week. called corporate office and was told the same story. their refund policy is by dar the worst i've ever heard of. beware!!!

I prefer to keep the $$ local. - It's not a big-box, If you just need a simple item, you can be out in 25% of the time you will spend at Lowes or Home depot. - most of the time you can get someone to take you to the right aisle in less than 60 seconds, whereas a big box you might wander around for 10-15 minutes just to find someone to say, "If you don't see it, we probably don't have it" Grrr The negative side... - Prices are out of line (double?) there on almost everything they carry. I don't go if the item is likely to be more than $5.00. Frankly, that is a major problem in Barrington. - They often don't have items in stock that the Ace Hardware in Seekonk or Bristol have on the shelf - pays to check online before you drive to the store.

I wanted to get two O Cedar flip mops at Ace Hardware since I had a 25% off coupon. The website…read moresaid that this particular store in Bristol had 19 in inventory so we decided to go and get them. I could not get them online since the maximum was ONE mop per transaction. So we stopped at the store and went to the mop and broom section. No O Cedar flip mop to be found...when I asked one of the staff members about the item, I showed her the item on their Ace mobile app and she went on their system to check for inventory...she said, they had none in the store...but the mobile app said they did.... Confusing... She said, I can order from our warehouse and you might be able to pick up next week, I said, yes...so I can use my coupon. When she went to get the special order entered, the system said that they are no longer getting any more of these mops.... Weird how the mobile app inventory and the store inventories do not seem to talk to each other... Unfortunately we left the store empty handed....

We ordered online for sidewalk service after consulting multiple times with Ben via phone. We then placed three different orders and then called to add more. Ben brought everything out to the car and even took two remotes back in to replace the batteries. He was pleasant and friendly throughout this order process complicated by our repeated updates and changes. He is knowledgeable and helpful. We want to publicly commend Ben for his exemplary work.

Came here yesterday 3/18/23 to buy some paint. I found an employee who was sweeping the floor and asked him for some help. He told me he needed to finish sweeping the floor first and would be with me afterwards. Ok not great customer service but I politely said ok thanks. A few minutes later I hear him helping someone else. I walk over so he sees me. Maybe he forgot he told me he'd help me? Then when he was done helping them he went back to sweeping. Really? Not great customer service at all. I left and now I have to make an extra trip out to Home Depot today to buy my paint. Such a shame.

However, Ace can supply you with name brand tools, quality paint, cleaning supply, etc. In some cases, If I've forgotten to pick something up from Home Depot, luckily Ace will usually have it.
