So we stopped at the store and went to the mop and broom section. No O Cedar flip mop to be found...when I asked one of the staff members about the item, I showed her the item on their Ace mobile app and she went on their system to check for inventory...she said, they had none in the store...but the mobile app said they did.... Confusing... She said, I can order from our warehouse and you might be able to pick up next week, I said, yes...so I can use my coupon. When she went to get the special order entered, the system said that they are no longer getting any more of these mops.... Weird how the mobile app inventory and the store inventories do not seem to talk to each other... Unfortunately we left the store empty handed....

He told me he needed to finish sweeping the floor first and would be with me afterwards. Ok not great customer service but I politely said ok thanks. A few minutes later I hear him helping someone else. I walk over so he sees me. Maybe he forgot he told me he'd help me? Then when he was done helping them he went back to sweeping. Really? Not great customer service at all. I left and now I have to make an extra trip out to Home Depot today to buy my paint. Such a shame.

The product was a nightmare to install-- the backing did not come off smoothly, and we had to peel it off in small pieces before applying to the walls. About a week after applying, we noticed that the seams between panels, which had been invisible, had widened to show nearly a quarter inch of wall between each strip. When we reached out to the company, we received the response shown in this photo. The president was incredibly rude, and it is unacceptable to not mention that the wallpaper can't be applied to all walls until you open the package and read the fine print.

Where in the world all that is ok? I'm not even saying that there people who's renting units for over 5 years in the building ( while allowed only 6 month) ...

He started the job late, didn't have a painter, sent a carpenter to paint my house without proper or safe equipment, the carpenter fainted on the job twice and fell off one of the company's broken ladders, James texted to ask me to pay his carpenter directly, James texted to ask me to pick up paint supplies, he broke my shutters and asked me to buy new ones, and on two of the few days he actually showed up himself to work he filmed and posted tik tok videos from my house of him dancing on my porch. I ended up painting my own front door. He then finished the job, got paid and abandoned his equipment on my property for two weeks, made excuses about why he couldn't pick it up, and when he came to get it, he left the broken equipment for me to dispose of.

Before we were going to leave, we looked for the restroom. When we found it, the entire hallway leading to it was dark and had been blocked off with room dividers and a sign saying out of order. We made a joke about it because it had the look of a closed off area, not just temporarily out of order. We were exiting the store, walking past the checkout area when an associate, a middle aged woman who had the look of being some kind of shift supervisor, basically wanted to start a confrontation with us. As we were walking past, well within proximity for us to hear her, she made a comment to a young associate that seemed to be about us joking about the restroom out of order sign. We turned to clarify what she had said and she repeated that we made some joke about the restrooms being closed. We did not engage with her and left. I went back to the vestibule area to look in to see her name tag, but I couldn't see one. Then we left. I had planned to write to Ollie's corporate but found on their website a rigid format to leave positive remarks but no interest expressed in hearing other feedback. As I tried to find a way to communicate with them, I learned that they have some very unpleasant actions against them, touching on discrimination and other unpleasantness. At that point it seemed that this kind of employee may be just the expression of their management, and I decided not to try to correspond with them. Then I came to Yelp and saw the recent review and comment about the restrooms having been closed since June of 2025. I suspected when this happened that she was particularly sensitive about the restrooms being closed. It appears that Ollie's has developed a very negative culture. I would avoid them in the future.
