The waitstaff was lovely and owner Pietro told my son and I the story of their beautiful pizza oven that came all the way from Italy and visited our table to welcome my parents and tell us about the resturant and their family. This place is owned and operated by an incredibly talented and caring family that has opened their recipes and hearts to the community. The food was perfectly executed. From the seasoned and crips calamari to the margarita pizza that was flavorful with a thin crisp crust, our appetizers were loved. And then the pasta; just perfect. It's hard to find legitimate Italian pasta and this is it. The pasta was al dente with delectable homemade sauces. We enjoyed the chicken Marsala, chicken parmesan, a la vodka pasta, and pasta Alfredo-which my kids said was better than mine! All of these dishes were perfectly seasoned, fresh, piping hot, well sauced, and just delectable. The portions are perfect leaving just enough for lunch the next day if you can keep yourself from eating the whole plate! It was easy to get a reservation for a larger party, which I appreciate! The dining room and bathrooms were accessible for my mother who uses a wheelchair and she felt extremely comfortable dining. My two younger kids also enjoyed themselves and the atmosphere was versatile; perfect for kids, dinner with the grandparents, or a date night out. All in all we are excited to come back for another fantastic meal. Thank you to the owners and family for building this gem in Milwaukee.

It's actually shocking I've only just made it here because Ca'Lucchenzo has been on my to-go list for years. Lucky for me, my girlfriends planned a dinner to catch up and one of them chose this spot. Hot tip: make the reservation. Those go fassst! We went on the Tuesday night and it was full, with repeated table turnover. Delightful atmosphere. Very cozy, with warm tones, dimer lighting, and thoughtfully curated Italian'esque decor. Loved that there is a whole area where you can look onto the from-scratch pasta being made. However, that's over in the dining room and we actually sat on the bar side. There's maybe a dozen seats wrapped around their full-service bar, and then a small high-top tucked behind, where we sat. Our server, Malichai, new allllll of his stuff. When I tell you this menu is so clearly planned with immense detail, and changes pretty much daily, but this man knew every thing there was to know. We found that to be so helpful because as first timers it's hard to know what - and how many dishes - to choose. In the end, we landed on a handful of picks from the antipasti section, which we're all great shareable sizes. And then of course we needed pasta, so selected two of those to share as well. Can I recall what each dish was? No. Can I recall everything being extremely flavorful and enjoyable? Absolutely! From goat cheese and white asparagus, to creamy potato ravioli and the most insane/delicious focaccia of my life... we all noted how great every bite was. Oh and the drinks + dessert selection lived up to the hype too. I had a citrusy gin cocktail, and we finished with some sort of hazelnut chocolate cake. 10/10. Super duper excited to bring my husband here. He appreciates the craft of good food and boy that is what this place is alllll about.

First of all, I can't believe I have never set foot in this restaurant. I like the overall vibe of the place. Diving into the food, we ordered the lumpia Shanghai (egg rolls) to start. Crunchy and yummy! For my main dish, I ordered the Ulam with longganisa (Filipino chorizo) and a fried egg. My cousins ordered the Ulam with Chicken Adobo. Basically, Ulam is garlic fried rice with a pickled slaw on the side. Vinegar was served on the side for extra flavor. We were impressed at how the dishes were elevated, yet maintained the traditional flavor. If we were at home, we would have had two platefuls of everything! For dessert, we split some Turon (plantains with mango & jackfruit wrapped in egg roll wrapper and fried). Definitely wanted more - but forced myself to say no! Our server was super nice and very attentive. She made sure our waters were full (we are on a hydration kick). Overall, I was happy we made it out on a Monday night and satisfied my craving for Filipino food! I will definitely be back to try their normal offerings.

I had the shrimp arrabbiata which I knew would be spicy, but unfortunately it was way too spicy for me to eat. Everyone else at my table seemed to enjoy their meal though! I love the location of this restaurant, a cozy little nook set apart from the business of downtown but still so accessible! With events happening at the fiserv and new music venue in the deer district, it was a welcome reprieve from the action. The restaurant itself is lively but chill - is there a word for that!? lol very laid back, friendly and informed staff. We were able to snag a seat at the bar which was great - it's probably got 12-15 seats. Full dinner service too! My husband got a mezcal old fashioned (not on the menu) and I got a spicy margarita. Both were great! As for food, the menu is eclectic, but everything looks and tasted great! We got 2 appetizers, the bruschetta and stuff pepper - both were delish!! And then we shared the braised beef risotto topped off the night with a spirit free strawberry Fresca & churros (SO GOOD). Great experience for deciding last minute and getting a walk in spot.

The drink menu features plenty of specialty cocktails, and I took our server's recommendation and ordered the Whisky Paloma, which was an excellent choice. I loved the chili dust along the rim. If you like pizza, they have an interesting selection featuring ingredients such as peaches, figs, and bacon. It was hard to decide, but I ended up ordering the Burrata pizza with grilled peaches, arugula, and honey. It was very good and would have been even better with a few more grilled peaches. I also ordered the grilled octopus because, if it's on the menu, I just have to try it. It was very good, along with the accompanying roasted potatoes. I prefer my octopus well grilled and firm, and this preparation was a bit softer than I would have liked. We finished with the tiramisu, which was a little disappointing. It was both very cold, as though it had just been thawed, and a bit soggy. Service: The service was very good throughout the evening. We were seated right away, and our server did a nice job of getting us settled in. The drinks and food arrived surprisingly quickly, and we felt well attended to throughout the meal. Thanks, Robert! Atmosphere: The building is a gem, with old brick on the outside and a modern, relaxing design on the inside. There is a foyer where guests are greeted and can wait for their tables. The wood wall treatments and lighting are inventive and upbeat. The many hard surfaces make the acoustics a bit loud, but we were still able to have a conversation comfortably. Overall, it was a very good experience. With a bit more attention to some of the final touches on the food, this could have been an even better experience. We would enjoy coming back again.

We had reservations on a Friday night and were greeted by a friendly host and seated immediately. Thank you! We sat for a long time before a waitress approached us. No friendliness or smile. Ordered drinks and as always it took a very long time to receive them. Our group ordered 4 meatballs and angel hair pasta dishes and two of the dishes had very little angel hair pasta, even for small eaters. Both of the Shrimp linguini dishes had very little shrimp for $32 each. After our food was brought to the table we did not see our waitress fora very long time. There was no check in to see how the food was tasting or if we needed more drinks. We finally were able to order wine to drink with our dinners which were mostly gone. Another long wait for drinks. There was a long wait to get the check and to process the credit card. Sadly all of this equated to a poor dining experience for our group of 7. We won't be back.
