We had 3 different people come to our table to see how things were going which was really nice. The owner even stayed a while to talk about the business and his other restaurants in the area. Started with a Scotch Egg and I had the Cottage Pie, my wife had the Fish and Chips and we finished with the Sticky Pudding. Everything tasted great. Have to say, the ordering by phone was a little challenging, but we figured it out. Great addition to the Public Market. Definitely will be back.

This is a fantastic British-style pub, among the best I've had in the US, and I am shocked that I'm…read moreable to say that. This restaurant sits in the Mequon Public Market and legitimately has better fried fish (and chips) than St. Paul Fish Market just across the parking lot, as crazy as that sounds. The batter is light but crispy, and there's a generous cut of fish under the relatively "fluffy" exterior and the fries were fresh and awesome. They also have a respectable beer selection, plus some good cocktails on offer. We were acknowledged and never ignored by staff even though there's an option to order everything through a QR code on the table. The manager stopped by a few times to check on us before it got overly busy, which was also nice. I'm excited to come back here and enjoy the patio when it warms up.

We ordered our lunches, a wrap and salmon salad. It took quite a while to get our lunches. There was a large party dining at the same time, so maybe that was the reason, but my friend had to get back to work and was getting a bit anxious. She said that her wrap was good. But my salmon salad was amazing! It had a perfectly cooked plant of salmon, with fresh spinach leaves, segments of orange and grapefruit, diced beats and a delicious horseradish dressing. It was served in a bowl, nothing to look at , but so tasty. It think serving it on a plate would have shown off the ingredients better. We had to wait a bit to get our check, too. If you don't have much time, I wouldn't recommend, but if you have time, please try The Bay. (A third member of our party had to leave after ordering her wrap due to a family emergency. The server kindly stopped her order and did not charge us. So kind of him.)

Came here recently with a group of six, and good thing we made a rez because it was full! Our server wasn't the friendliest guy around but still made sure we were taken care of. I personally stuck with water but half the table went with old fashioned. Everyone had the same note as to how very sweet they were. My husband and I shared the cubano sandwich and the buffalo cauliflower bites. Those cauli bites were fire, I could order those everytime and be happy! Wasn't the biggest fan of the cubano though. There was way more bread than there was fillings. Oh and I tried my brother's pizza! That was very good. I'll look forward to returning for patio season - great outdoor space here!

The main parking is behind…read morethe building, either enter to the south by the gas station or you have to drive around the Dairy Queen... keep this in mind as the parking lot can be full of cars and people. Lots of people, particularly in the warm months when high schoolers are hanging out at DQ. This unassuming neighborhood pub is much larger inside, and more popular, than you would expect just driving by. There are tons of tvs showing every possible sporting event and a packed house - I seem to always get the last available table. It has a townie vibe, with the dim lighting, nightly specials, an excellent Friday Fish Fry (with the option of potato pancakes - SO GOOD), and delicious burgers. No Coors on tap here but they have Stella (woohoo!). Despite living near this pub since 2010, I've only recently discovered how good the food was here. Overall, it reminds me of a "grown up" mini BBC (the beloved gone-but-never-forgotten North Ave establishment) with better food. Definitely worth checking out if you are hungry and in the area!

The place is a bar/restaurant with the bar on one half and a dining room on the other half. It's a nice looking place with a cool bar, blue under bar lighting, color on the walls with exposed duct work. Service was a little slow in the beginning to get my Bloody Mary spicy. The Bloody Mary was average with a lacking of toppings because it's one olive and a crunchy/crisp pickle spear, kind of pathetic looking. I ordered the Wisco burger and I was asked how I wanted it cooked and I said as rare as possible because you can't undercook it but definitely overcook it with seasoned frys. The Wisco burger is 1/3 pound patty, bacon, sautéed onions, beer cheese on a pretzel bun. My plate looked good but the absence of the blood red juices leaking into the bun meant that it's overcooked and sure it was because it's not rare at all so why even ask how I want it cooked, it's always been 50/50 if I actually get a rare piece of meat. Otherwise the bun was fresh with crispy bacon and the messy cheese soup so let's give the guy one thin napkin for this hand mess he just ordered. The patty seemed fresh because it was tender with out the harder texture of a frozen patty, actually a decent burger. The seasoned frys were seasoned nicely and cooked to order hot and crispy with the skin on, pretty good. Overall was it the best burger in town, no. Was it good for what it was, yes and cooked to order hot frys is always a plus.
