Went to Rocky Point Chowder house Today again possibly for last time I have been going at least twice a week since they opened but gradually it's getting worse last visit new thing is they pre cook the claim cakes then drop them Back into the grease double dipping Now today I say well let me try one more time not only double dippers but small claim cakes $7.02 and received 8 clam cakes size of a munchkin or little smaller I asked the girl eight clam cakes that's like almost $.90 apiece. She said Yep I said where is the owner of the manager here there seems to be an awful lot of changes and she called his name. I think she said it was Jay and then they said oh he left. She was kind of a little young and rude instead of being nicer with better customer service. She was just like who cares although they care when they're closed by next year if this keeps up with the service and the watering prices have gone up since the day opened and the proportions are getting smaller.

The Shanty is one of those places I don't go to nearly enough and I really need to change that…read more I was specifically craving hand-cut fries and theirs did NOT disappoint. I got the Big Ol' Burger and it was so good. Cooked perfectly, the special sauce was delicious and as you can probably tell from the photo, the fries were exactly what I was looking for. Everything tastes really fresh here. It has that farm-to-table quality, but in a relaxed, laid-back (but still really pretty) setting. We came for lunch and I loved that they had brunch options too. We didn't get any adult beverages but I was very tempted by the entire drink menu, so next time! Our service was also outstanding. Really everything was A+. Definitely a local spot that I need to remember to go to more often.

In town for work and was looking for a place to grab a bite after work. I found The Shanty on Yelp…read more The moment I opened the door I was greeted, by the owner, with the most upbeat personality and smile! She showed me to my table, brought a carafe of water, and welcomed me in. I was quickly welcomed by Sergio, my server, who shared the special and the soup of the day. Once I ordered my soda I took in the ambiance of the bar, new lights, and the rest of the restaurant. It's not a large building but they make every inch count. Now, the reason you're reading this review- THE FOOD. I ordered the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar Salad. The chicken (photo below) was perfectly cooked, topped with hot honey, slaw, pickles, and ranch then placed on a soft brioche bun. The meal was reasonably priced as well at $33 which included tip. I will absolutely be back to the Shanty next time I'm in town.

I came here today for breakfast. I actually was not even supposed to stay in this hotel last night,…read morebut long story short, Delta Travel overbooked my hotel and put me here instead. I wasn't mad about it because it's a beautiful hotel. Delta had told me that breakfast was included in my stay so I decided to check it out this morning. I had to wait about 10 to 15 minutes, I realize it's a Saturday morning but that was kind of disappointing. They had me wait in the lobby. The included breakfast is technically a good deal, I saw on the Delta travel website it's $11 and I believe my bill would've been $21.... That being said, you only get four entrées to choose from, two of them being pancakes, which was disappointing because I was craving a more savory breakfast. I'm kind of weird and that I don't like eggs, I think I probably would've ordered the American breakfast minus the eggs had I read the menu more closely, but oh well. I ordered the lemon blueberry pancakes, they were gigantic with beautiful presentation and very delicious. Waitservice was also fine, I was checked on a few times. They have an outdoor seating area with a view of the river, which looked nice, but I sat indoors. Be aware that this is a cashless restaurant but they said I was able to leave a tip in cash so that was good. My total bill would have been about $21 and I left a cash tip. I would come here again when staying in the area, prices were not too bad for breakfast, but the fact that I had to wait like 15 minutes when they had tables available was a little frustrating. Not sure if maybe they did not have a table for two (technically one) available at the time.

The one page menu features everything from flat breads, shared plates/appetizers to sliders and main dishes featuring everything from fish tacos to steak. Our friendly server,Jacob made us feel right at home. He suggested the Pontiac Berry Spritz, and it did not disappoint! His professional yet personable presence made our evening at The Brook enjoyable. He showed us the beautiful outdoor space which we didn't know about, and we immediately envisioned ourselves there hanging with friends on the beautiful patio. Thank you Jacob for an amazing experience!
