We always enjoy going to Rockwoods. Service & Food is 5-star! Everything that we ordered from the apps, drinks and entrees were served to perfection. Our waiter timed out our meal perfectly. This time we had a Filet Mignon cooked medium rare with Broiled Shrimp, Au gratin potatoes & asparagus. We also had the 2-Lobster Tail entree also with Au gratin potatoes and asparagus, with a side of Mexican street corn. Would highly recommend these entrees.

We had a late breakfast here on a Saturday. We were seated quickly and it wasn't too busy. We started with the dill cheese curds. They were perfectly cooked. I had French toast which was tender with a wonderful cinnamon flavor. My husband had a delicious breakfast bowl. The bacon pieces were thick and cooked perfectly. The vegetables in the bowl were also cooked perfectly. There is plenty of interesting art and the tables are not on top of each other.

Nachos and pickle cheese curds were good. I had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly to what I asked for. The ribeye was 8/10. We sat outside on a perfect fall night. They have a big menu and a great beer/drink list. It is a bit pricey.

As always the service was great. My wife loved her salad and my French fries. I thought the asparagus was good and at one time I may have liked the fries but recently I've had much, much better. These seemed too greasy and overdone. I just got of the plane from California and hadn't eaten since morning so as you can see I gobbled that french dip down before even thought about a review. That being said I had a lot of sandwiches in California on hoagie style bread and the lack of any sustatual amount of prime rib in this one stood out like a sore thumb. It would have been more accurately been called a mushroom and fried onion dip sandwich. It's sad. It is clear to me that the higher end restaraunts in MN are cutting back on the meats in sandwiches to avoid large price increases while in California they are raising the prices and not sacrificing the quality of their products. Maybe that "essence of prime rib sandwich" is healthier but if I was looking for an onion and mushroom sandwich I would have found a place that had it on the menu. SHOW ME THE BEEF!

Ordered a patty melt and decided to pay the extra $3 for fresh fruit. What arrived was ridiculous: four small pieces of Melon. My wife didn't upgrade her side and the comparison is jarring. In what reality do four bite sized pieces of honeydew and cantaloupe appear to be worth $3 more than a basket of fries.

F I R S T C L A S S! My first time experience with Rockwoods was a rehearsal dinner and wedding and reception. The entirety of of the 2 day event was flawless on their part. The staff was unbelievably professional, accommodating, timely, prepared, attentive, and on point! The service was impeccable! The bartenders were absolutely ready to fulfill every beverage whim. Even made me a Lavender Kiddie Cocktail. The cocktails flowed all night without interruption. The servers perfectly orchestrated the food service. Talk about team work! I must also shout out to the coordinator and restaurant managers. Teamwork! And, I must mention the professional appearance of all of them. If I were still a fine dining server, I would want to work here. I would like to think this was an example of everyday operations, not just for this wedding! The real star was the food. The Chefs went above and beyond preparing the Bride and Groom's desired menu. It was last summer, so all I can recall was that both meals were spectacular, especially the Walleye that I had ordered. And abundant. The Bride's sister funded the whole shebang, and pulled out all the stops! So, I highly recommend having your special event, special dinner, or a regular night out HERE! You will not be disappointed. I N C R E D I B L E FOOD & SERVICE

This place is massive. It is so, so big. The food looked beautiful. However, it was not great. There was 8 people in my party. No one was really thrilled with their food I will not be going here again

Mostly everything was fantastic. The smoked brisquit poutine was OK and not great. We felt that the cheese was not even we distributed across the French fries so we ate big chunks of cheese and I don't believe there was enough cheese to fit across all the poutine. It was missing a brown gravy sauce that I was expecting and craving. But my fried chicken sandwich is my go to at Rockwoods. 9/10

Solid food and service at a premium price. This is a large restaurant with a bar and patio. We enjoyed our food very much and enjoyed the live music on the patio on Sunday afternoon. We would definitely return.

Lots of space! Beautiful ambiance. Kid-friendly with the menu. All the food is good and reasonably priced.

Disappointed in the quality of food. Total letdown. New management needs to rethink the menu options. The service was great though.

They always have delicious food and the atmosphere is amazing. The only down side is their prices for dinner entrees are fairly high.

I prefer a restaurant that doesn't give me a glass with someone else's lipstick on it. That'd be great. Thanks.

It was clean and there is a nice bathroom. The restaurant was pretty busy, mostly it seemed with regulars. They remember the regular's names and orders which is pretty impressive. I was not a regular, but service was fast and very friendly. The vibe was pretty regular smallish town coffee shop. Not hipster at all, clientele was fairly rural. I have always liked Dunn Brothers because their lattes/mochas/etc. have a lot more coffee flavor than the other chains. My medium latte was around $6, and my avocado toast, which was also very good, was about $7 (without bacon). My coffee was very hot and tasted good. I will be back when I am in the area.

At the door they were telling people that it would be 45 minute before their order could be placed but they could be seated and have coffee if they wanted to wait. The wait was actually about 20 minutes. We both ordered the Magnificent 7, two eggs, two slices of bacon and 3 pancakes. Mine came missing one slice of bacon my wife's came with everything plus a hash browns as a bonus. I was OK with that because the reason we went there was because it was supposed to be free for me as a veteran. The catch was that the offer was only good a participating restaurants and this wasn't one of them.
