Fast friendly service. And they don't water down their "cold brew." This place is a regular stop when I'm visiting my folks up north.

I enjoyed my stop at Dunn Brothers Coffee Elk River. They gave good handicap parking right outside the doors. There is a fair amount of seating inside. It was clean and there is a nice bathroom. The restaurant was pretty busy, mostly it seemed with regulars. They remember the regular's names and orders which is pretty impressive. I was not a regular, but service was fast and very friendly. The vibe was pretty regular smallish town coffee shop. Not hipster at all, clientele was fairly rural. I have always liked Dunn Brothers because their lattes/mochas/etc. have a lot more coffee flavor than the other chains. My medium latte was around $6, and my avocado toast, which was also very good, was about $7 (without bacon). My coffee was very hot and tasted good. I will be back when I am in the area. read more

Very friendly service, the baristas always greet you with a smile and are very polite. They are always thorough and efficient working together as a team:) They sometimes give me extra of my drink if they make too much :0. I love that you can pretty much personalize it all here... drinks, food, everything!! If a mistake is made they are happy to accommodate. The music could be updated. Definitely not modern, reaching for older generations. It's all in all a nice place to meet up for breakfast, lunch, or just a coffee date! read more

This coffee shop has way more than just the best coffee I have ever had! Ok.... I travel.... a lot, and when I say it's the best coffee I've had, I truly mean it, and I've been all over the world enjoying the dark, savory drink. Fresh roasted in house sometimes that day! As for the service, I can truly say it's fantastic, especially Jody, Mickey, and Effe! They are friendly, courteous, and quick. I don't live in Minnesota, so when I travel here for work, I actually take the extra 20+ minutes to go to this particular Dunn Brothers over other coffee shops, including other Dunn Brothers shops. The atmosphere here is a bit more lively than a regular coffee shop due to the familarness of the return customers, and it doesn't have that hippster pretentiousness that other local coffee shops have. When I walk in the door of this establishment after being gone for 6-8 months and the owner, Michelle, remembers my name and my darn order from months prior. All in all, the best coffee shop I've been to! Suck it, starbucks / caribou! read more

Really fun and knowledgeable staff. Amazing espresso and coffee. A really welcoming vibe and decor. You can work on your laptop or have a quiet meeting or a boisterous meeting and will still feel comfortable. The food is miles above similar venues. read more

I love. . . returning home to the once-sleepy town and having a reliable coffee "chain" that is a cut above all those other chains. Good, friendly service from the high school crowd. Prefer the espresso drinks to Sbux & Caribou. Little creamier, smoother, and more character. Returned to area to move my mum out of state. Brings back good memories from school days on Snelling Ave in St. Paul. Hit this place 1-2 times per day over a 3 day weekend. Good cookies. Had one drip coffee that tasted funky, late in day. I read on the cup sleeve that Dunn Bros are a bunch of "independently owned, local coffee shops." where I'm from, we refer to those as franchises, but again, I'm a fan. read more

I love Dunn Bros! Fresh roasted heaven! The staff was extremely friendly, and my coffee was perfect! read more

Very nice seating setup and decorations. Great selection of very tasty pastries. Of course, the coffee is the quality you expect from Dunn Brothers However, what really stood out was the friendly customer service. read more

Tried this out for the first time today. They were trying to be fast, but it didn't seem to be working. The owner (presumably) was nice, but loud (almost like she was yelling everything) and "sweetie" this or "honey" that. A small latte - on the menu was $3.29 - okay, but after ringing it up, charged me $5.20. What?! Too much to pay for a small coffee treat. read more

Best coffee out of all the chains. The Belgian waffle breakfast sandwich is amazing. The staff here has always been friendly & helpful. I've never had a bad experience at the Elk River location. read more

Im new to town but i guess if you havent been a regular customer, you dont get served in the order you arrive. Loved my mpls dunn bros. I like to support this chain. read more

Very friendly staff. Good food, clean and of course coffee. The same 2 women are always working and they are amazingly cheery and nice. We always stop here now! read more

This store always has the best staff and always greets you with a smile. This coffee shop is the bar in 'Cheers'. Everyone knows your name

The kind of coffee shop that feels like grandma's house. With old hits on the radio being played too many times, a large round table for the elk river knights Templar, password protected wi-fi, and locals discussing their neighbors, this is the place to be for bible study or suburbia gossip. Kinda the place where folks go after church to discuss how Peggy-Sue fell asleep at the organ again. If that's not your thing, I'd get my coffee to go and find a more urban-hipster place to hang your hat and put your boots up. Good coffee shop for Elk River. read more

This is the best coffee shop in town. Not only are the drinks awesome, but the staff is outstanding. If you want a special drink, just ask. They also make great sandwiches, the waffle breakfast sandwich is my husbands favorite. Mine is the Tuscan turkey, but I ask for ham instead... no problem! If your having a bad day it doesn't matter, you will leave after having a very warm hello and a smile with you coffee. The owner is Mickey, she will brighten your day! read more

The sort of coffee shop that has fliers for a quilt show and a comic map of where elk river, Mn is. It's not urban chic. For a deep suburban coffee shop it has nice hours and the coffee is okay! I prefer it to the sbucks and caribou nearby. The people here are good fun, and the place is clean. The low noise level is nice, and I like that they have plants from the ceiling. read more

An excellent coffee shop. Great customer service with delicious fresh coffee & bakery items. read more

This is my favorite Dunn Bros location. Yes, I am probably biased, being from Elk River, but here they seem a lot more personable, and they always get my drink just right. I've never been unhappy with anything I have ordered here. I started going when I was in 7th grade, and I always come back during my summer breaks. They roast in shop, so you know your beans are fresh. read more

As someone who lives in Elk River I really want to support local business. Positive: the staff are awesome! Very friendly and cheerful. Not so good are the scones. What is it with these awful, stale scones that plague Elk River? Had a similar experience at Diamond City Bakery with their scones last week. read more

What a great cup of coffee. Best beans too. Micki and her team are the best!

Really like the ownership, we do business with this local branch. They were happy to set us up with the right coffee maker and beans. This was no surprise since I have been hanging out there many times taking a break and reading for fun in their lounge. Sometimes I would geek it up with my laptop. read more

You can't go wrong with their iced creamy coconut. I salivate every time I pass a Dunn Brothers thinking about it. Great service on top of it! read more

The people here are amazingly nice, service is fast and friendly, and coffee is amazing! Much better than Starbucks or Caribou. Nicest coffee shop staff I've ever met. Everyone should ditch Caribou and Starbucks for this place. read more

This is the best coffee shop in town. It is better than any local coffee shop you've been to even though it's a chain because the staff care. They know everyone's name and what drink you like. Best coffee shop there is! This place is locally owned and more then often if you come in during the day the owner will be working, her name is Mickie. The whole staff is amazing! They're high energy, fun, and fast. You never have to wait long for your perfectly made drink. If you ever have any type of issue (ordering the wrong thing, wanting more flavor, anything) they have no issues with fixing it. They recently started making breakfast and lunch sandwiches that are so good everything is made fresh! I even saw them cracking the eggs to make the soufflés for the breakfast sandwiches! I would highly recommend going to Dunn Brothers in Elk River! read more
