We ordered a variety of food. Burgers, chicken strips, nachos, cheese curds, quesadillas. The burgers were well done, as is overcooked, not exceptional. We ordered them cooked medium and they were borderline hockey pucks. Paid an extra $2 for tots that were nearly burnt and drying than popcorn. Glasses went largely unfilled and the server was oblivious. I know now why the food took so long to get, it takes a lot longer to burn everything. Make nachos at home, get your cheese curds from Culver's, grab a Big Mac and a soda from your fridge. You'll have better food and a better experience than going here. read more

We stopped by to have lunch because we were in the area. You walk in the door and it has a wonderful smell of barbecue. We'll have to try it next time. There was plenty of places to sit but we were a bit confused about how we were supposed to order food. The bartender came over to take our order. Our food came out pretty quickly and it was pretty good. The breadstick was an interesting texture and tasted like fry bread. It was a nice place to stop by and get lunch. read more

This is not a Packer bar! I went an hour early to grab a good seat at the bar to watch the Packer game. Game starts and they turn the sound on for the Vikings game. I could go to any bar in the metro area and have that experience. I went to this bar specifically because they were supposed to be a Packer bar. The sound should have been for the Packer game. We walk in and the cook is behind the bar slamming Tito's, hacking loogies, and... wearing this shirt. Coming from Wisconsin, I know there's going to be a difference in opinion on occasion regarding LGBTQ rights and our "lifestyle" but this shirt just struck a cord. For an employee of a golf course bar and grill to wear this shirt to work, and to galavant around the place not giving a rat's ass, is unacceptable. My friends stuck around after several of us left and Told him how inappropriate it was. His response, "If they can take a dick, they should be able to take a joke." I just want to say thank you to my straight friends for sticking up for my boyfriend and myself in that moment - it's not always easy to do that. I Just hope one day that this man can learn from his mistakes and try not to be so judgmental. Great burgers and warm, friendly service - I wouldn't hesitate to go back again! After driving past McDuff's thousands of times, 3 of us FINALLY stopped in to try the food and the bar. The burgers were all awesome, some of the best we've had in a long time. Everything exceeded our expectations. The bartender was also awesome. She was friendly and on top of everything. As a side note, the other customers were pretty nice too (and funny). I got the impression that they were regulars. I'm not a golfer so I can't comment on the whole golf experience. The new owners John & Will have done an amazing job turning this place around!! Great Service, Friendly staff and good food! I am always looking for a great French Dip Sandwich and I have found the best! Where else can you get a Prime Rib French Dip??? Its amazing! Decent menu with great salads as well! The only restaurant around with a full service deck with great views right on Rum River Golf Course.. I have mixed feelings on a 2-star review. If I could give stars for separate categories that would be better. Our waitress at this place deserves 5 stars! She was fantastic! We went on a busy Sunday mid-afternoon and our waitress was impeccable. The bartender, HOWEVER, was extremely rude. The busy time was dying down when we arrived and most of the tables had already eaten. One member of our group arrived first and asked her about tables for a group of twenty to which she responded, "oh that's, funny--I don't remember getting that call" in a sarcastic tone. It was a patron who then comforted the befuddled member of our group by saying, "don't worry, you'll get a table." If 20 separate people came in at the same time would you say that to them, Miss Bartender? Rude and unnecessary. What was the point of scolding a brand new patron for not calling to warn her that restaurant patrons were coming in during business hours. Isn't that the point of being open--serving the public? The best part is...did the bartender have to lift a finger to help out this waitress who was busting her butt? Nope, but she sure had an opinion about us being there without warning. Anyways, avoid Sundays bellied up to the bar. I'm sure if the other staff is as amazing as the waitress we had, you will be just fine!! read more

Hold the rotten food and extremely rude attitudes please! I went in last night for the first time in 25 years, not impressed by the food, bar tender and owner. I got my sandwhich and after a few bites noticed it came with an extra condiment I didn't order... mold.... and glasses from the bar with nasty chunks of drink garnish stuck on them. The AMAZING waiter Luke was gracious about taking care of it and he genuinely felt bad about it. So I go on to eat my potatoes since no way was I going to try anything else made with bread products, went to put on sour cream and guess what... that also came with an expiration date over a month old. There's no reason to be serving expired food... especially when the owner was the one cooking. If you're not passionate or even care about your establishment, find your true passion! I wanted to order a drink and wasn't sure what I wanted so I just said something fruity... the bartender, Christy or something similar, was extremely rude! She didn't know what to make and was very snotty about it... it wasn't even busy. I've NEVER had a bartender respond in that way when I ask that question... especially a seasoned bartender. They usually do a fuzzy navel or something simple. Her loss because with it being close to Christmas I was going to give her a generous tip even though we weren't at the bar. Instead our awesome waiter Luke got a 45% tip. He was fabulous and the only reason I'd go back. He's the only reason for the 2 star rating, he would get 5 stars, but the experience as a whole was awful. It'll be another 25 years before I set foot in there again...
