These people are absolute criminal scum. It's been more than two years and I've finally moved to a different place so it's safe for me to post this review now. It would take a very long time to go over everything that occurred so I'll have to use bullet points. -2 people sent were physically not fit to be movers, blatant false advertising showing what appears to be a body builder in the thumbnail. -The two people would constantly stop working and then go on their cell phones and browse the internet, as soon as they would see me they'd go back to work. They were working blatantly slow on purpose to run the clock as much as possible. I would literally just find them standing around in different places doing nothing. -They are incompetent at their job they have no idea how to safely package things into the truck. -The one guy would just keep talking to me asking me about my life rather than doing work. -Once moved they blatantly destroyed a bunch of my possessions, I specifically told the person this is the only fragile crate and then like a complete imbecile he throws it across the truck 5 minutes later and you can hear the dishes crack. He tells me that it will be paid for but later it turns out this is not true. -He pretend to call his boss and then says that since they did not pack all of the stuff that they aren't liable for it being broken. So using this same logic they could have thrown my possessions off the 4th floor and then claimed since they didn't pack it, it's not their fault. Criminal scum, I received no compensation like promised early and was yet again met with a blatant lie. -At one point the man told me that he went to jail for punching someone in the head. Great way to make me and my wife feel comfortable hiring you to "help" us move. -The man appeared to be a criminal, at one point he asked me and my wife specifically what time we are at work. I have no idea why some one would ask this other than to scout out a potential burglary. The mans demeanor and all actions that occurred that day point to him being a criminal. At one point he told me and my wife "any place can be broken into". I'm not sure if this was a thinly veiled threat to not file a complaint against him or risk being burglarized. I wouldn't be surprised if the two men sent to "help" with the move are behind bars at this point. -I purchased a yelp coupon a week before and then he pretended that it was expired and that was what his boss told him over the phone and then they ran the number. I looked at it and clearly showed him it wasn't and then he accepted it. So pretty much he was trying to see if he could lie to me again so that I wouldn't the coupon and would have to pay him more cash. -When the job was "complete" he lied about the time that they showed up in the beginning and I saw them sitting in their truck for 20 minutes doing nothing to run the clock some more for the end time. -The worst part is this happened when my mom died and the reason I even hired movers was to try and help ease the burden for me and my wife. Instead I was sent two criminals who disrespected me and my wife, lied about everything, acted like a bunch of cockroaches and did the shittiest job they possibly could have. Me and my wife ended up doing most of the moving, far more than both of the movers. These people are criminal scum and we can only hope that they go out of business so that our community will be a better place. If anyone is taking them to court contact me through here, I would be willing to volunteer my time to drive to the court house and testify about my experience. I am convinced the man behind this business is a cold hearted sociopath willing to lie cheat and steal to further his finances with absolutely no remorse for the people he's screwed over. I already know he will respond to this with lies and accusations attacking my character. I am done dealing this this scumbags abuse and will not reply to his false accusations, you wouldn't believe how much anger dealing with these criminals has caused me. I don't even know where to begin to tell you how awful my experience with Rocket Moving was. I hired them for local move and was only moving a 2 bedroom apartment. Nothing crazy right? Well, apparently I was wrong! Carlos and his team of 2 guys were beyond slow and made a move that previously took 5 hours from beginning to end when I moved in, take 11 hours!!! How is that even possible you ask? Well, let me break it down so you don't get taken advantage of by Carlos. First off, make sure you have all your stuff packed and ready to go because if you don't, Carlos will make packing a few small/medium boxes take 4-5 hours on top of the time it takes to do the actual move. Next, Carlos makes sure that him and his guys all work in one room at a time together, rather than divide and conquer. Then as they start to take everything out, Carlos makes himself look busy and pawns the running back and forth off on the others, making it really only 1-2 guys working; and no joke, I've never seen people move so slow in my entire life!! Finally, after oh about 6-8 hours, they will be done loading your 2 bedroom apartment into the truck. And let's not forget that you're being charged for them cleaning up the mess they leave behind. Now its time to unload and Carlos will literally roll out the red carpet for you, as he takes advantage of you! Again, only 1-2 guys are actually working, when you hired and are paying for 3 guys, making your unload take another 5-6 hours. Once all is said and done you will be at anywhere from 10-14 hours for something that should have taken 5-6 hours tops! Then Carlos will hit you with materials fees, long carry fees, stair fees, elevator fees, etc...this guy will stop at nothing to ripe you off and then expects at tip for him and guys to top it off!! I have no idea how these guys stay in business with such a shady person working for them. Never again will hire Rocket Moving!!! Save yourself and your wallet the headache and hire someone else. The best part about this whole thing was listening to them speak Spanish all day long thinking I couldn't understand what they were saying. WARNING !!! This is a horrible company. I hired them because of their reviews of the reviews. They showed up at my 4000 square-foot home with a tiny truck. When I booked the appointment for them to come to move me I told him I had a 4000 square-foot house. It took three hours for another truck / vehicle that was larger to come to my home. They had to wait 3 hours for the new truck to arrive . Time was ticking and of course they were charging me $150 an hour. It was late into the night and too dark to unload properly. It took the vehicle with all my property in it and came back the next day. Demanding that I paid them $3000 in order for them to unload the vehicle. Not only did they damage my Sleep Number bed, which I gave Leo specific instructions on how to pack it. They hit my gate and gate post causing significant alignment issues of the gate closing does not close properly anymore. There is a 3 inch gap. They've not accepted any responsibility in any of the damages. referring me to a paragraph in their contract stating that they're not responsible for any damages considering the fact that their vehicle hit my gate and post and it is now not properly working. When I called their company which goes to whomever at the time. Not a consistent person you could speak with. They got back to me with an email stating look at paragraph such as such we are not responsible for any damage is done. I tried to file a claim. But was respond responded with We will get back to you from whomever at the moment answered the phone at that time. Hendrick, the manager so-called has not responded to me every time I had a complaint or spoke to him he said he had to talk to the higher up people. In the meantime, it's been days and days since I've heard from this company. I do not suggest you use them as I am a senior and disabled. I feel taking advantage and targeted because of my situation. and feel that the Customer service sucks. They don't care about you , they will be careful because they will take advantage of you. After renting a house for 20 years I decided to downsize 4 years ago. I moved into an apartment, wasn't happy, moved again and just moved a 3rd time. Whew! I am only prefacing this to point out that I have had to hire three different sets of movers in the past 4 years. For this last move I hired Rocket after reading so many really great reviews here on Yelp. They were all lies in that they cannot do these guys justice! Chris was the first person I dealt with and, as I was going through some personal issues and that came across from my manner on the phone, I just have to say what a gentleman he was. Compassionate and just so extraordinarily nice and careful to put no pressure on me... once in a while you meet someone albeit on the phone and they just radiate this kind of warmth. Well that is Chris. From Jesus who I talked to many times to the movers... Carlos, Omar, Ivan and I cannot for the life of me remember the other guys name (I feel terrible about that!)...these guys were astonishingly fast... just really great to see young men with such work ethic. My apartment was on the 2nd floor with no elevator... no problem. I needed to move and then go to my storage space... no problem. Needed a big leather couch brought downstairs which the Salvation Army refused to take as it was so large they could not get it out the front door and insisted it must have come up through my balcony (huh?!) ... no problem. Needed to dispose of my fridge...no problem. Do you see where I'm going with this? I am eternally grateful to these guys to the point if I ever overhear of anyone moving I will run after them and demand that they call Rocket Movers. They went above and beyond and what a pleasure it is to be able to write a really good review instead of being completely disappointed like I was with the other movers X 2. We had to move everything out of a 4 bedroom, 4500 sqft house which included detached garage, apartment, etc. in less than three days. I was really concerned that we wouldn't be able to do this and called several moving companies to see who could do the job. Rocket assured me that they would provide the packing materials (tape, boxes, etc.), package everything safely, and complete the job by the deadline. I have to admit: I didn't know if they would be able to do it, but sure enough less than 48 hours later I was in my new house with my bedding and other essentials unpacked and all set up for use. I was blown away by the speed, quality of work, and care these guys had for every single one of my items. There was a lot of stuff that had to stay in boxes for me to go through and organize and they neatly arranged them in aisles in my new garage so I could easily walk through and grab the boxes I needed. I didn't even ask for them to do that--they just knew that would be the best way to organize it for me and my family. They took great, great care in making sure they didn't damage the house or my property. I would absolutely use them again, without reservation, and recommend you do too. I hope to not be in a position for an emergency move again, but I know who to call if I am. Great job! The Rocket Moving guys are an absolute pleasure to deal with, very professional and caring. Since my first phone call conversation with Jesus, I got a very positive impression of the company. He was very thorough in answering my questions and I could easily tell that he took pride in his work and cared about his customers. Scheduling was very efficient, and he followed up with me until the moving date. On moving day, the guys called 30 minutes ahead and arrived right on time. Kevin, Omar, Lupe and Jorge are amazing workers! They are very polite, work very hard and quickly, are great at communicating and asking questions to make sure they are doing things exactly how you want, and are just truly great gentlemen. They were very careful in moving every single item. I was actually shocked at how much effort they put into their work... They cared about our stuff like it were their own, a very uncommon quality. We even asked them to make a couple of stops which were initially unplanned, to pick up and drop off some furniture from different locations, and they took care of that with no problems as well. I 100% recommend these guys. Their attitudes and work ethics are top notch. PS. Rocket's pricing is also the lowest amongst all the other 5 star places that I've checked. i had everything packed already.. they only needed to lift the boxes and wrap the furniture such as couch, tv, coffee table, matress. box spring, computers, tables... it was alot of furniture. That made it easier, but it was alot of heavy things!! they showed up on time and they were hustling to move things out. i think what took a lot of time was wrapping/taping the boxes down. If u want to save on some time --vertical tape on both sides, the boxes-- to secure it. They were lifting/carrying 3 boxes at a time!! very fast! once everything was done from the old home, it took a little bit longer than i expected to get to new home-- it may be that fact they are driving a 26ft truck. But they left before i did and i got there b4 they did (ponders). They moved the boxes as desired and ask us where we wanted the furniture! That was awesome -- they removed the packing and tape and move the furniture any where we wanted. The whole time they were very respectful to me and my family. I could not ask for a better team! Also they were working in 90+ temperature and mosquitos!! Thank you for helping us with our move from apt to condo! We enjoyed your services and I hope i will never move again cuz was it was a lot of stuff to pack and unpack.. 7 hours later + tip!! Thank you again! read more

I had a great moving experience with Rocket Moving company. I picked them up based on Yelp reviews. Quoting and booking process was very easy . I received a confirmation email with the details which looked very professional and I was sure that I am dealing with professional moving company. On the moving day movers called us 20 min before and arrived right on schedule. Forman took a quick look at my house and gave us very accurate estimate. They never milked our time . Movers and packers were very polite, efficient and trustworthy. I had so much fun with them . While working hard they would make jokes and make you laugh:) . Their prices are very reasonable and affordable. In fact they gave us a lot of packing supplies for free. I saved a lot of money on boxes . They diligently moved all my fragile furniture and some delicate items .I received everything in a perfect condition. They unloaded and unpacked everything very fast . After the job was done I asked the guys to have a dinner together ( this kind of people). Definitely, I am gonna recommend this moving company to my friends and family for any kind of moving needs . BEYOND AMAZING! Don't call another moving company...let Rocket Moving be the only number you call. This company is amazing from the time they answered the phone to delivering the last item to the new address. We were upgrading from an apartment to our home and got references from some friends and acquaintances. Being a Yelper, I did my research and called Rocket Moving. Believe me when I explain that I have a collection of books, office, craft....major stuff and more stuff! The truck arrived at the time that was agreed on. I still had stuff to pack, but Max, Alex and Anthony was so nice and efficient in helping me wrap and pack all the miscellaneous stuff then getting everything on the truck. Did I say everything...EVERYTHING! Call Rocket Moving if you need a company that goes above and beyond in treating you and your household goods with care and respect! They didn't have any hidden charges, and their price was way below the cost of some of the other companies.
