Cool stuff .. Brings back memories during my childhood days. Won't be coming back again! I felt the owner thought we didn't pay for her 2 Chocolate Kinder surprise eggs. She kept eyeing us and walking back and forth around my stroller like we stole something even though my husband already paid for it. When the owner found out we already paid, she was all nice to us... (whatever!) I'll buy my Kinder surprise eggs outside those carts instead!!! read more

Omg ridiculous. I called to see if they have a certain type of candy and the lady first of all picks up the phone with a "Hello". I wasn't sure if I called the correct number. I asked if this was the candy store and she goes, "Ya." Then I ask if she has this particular candy and she goes, "Mm hmm... Actually can you... Call me later... Just call me later." No idea what just happened but ya. Totally confused and seriously still wondering if I called the wrong number or perhaps the owner's cell phone lol. Anyway, very unprofessional. read more

I need 2 root canals and 4 fillings just looking around in this place! This is not a chocolate lovers dream, this is straight sugar. I mean candy, old school wrapped or boxed candy and soda. Did I forgot to mention the soda? Well, let me tell you, they have just about every American made soda I've seen. I'm not talking about Coca Cola and Pepsi, I'm talking about New York seltzer, haven't seen since I was twelve, root beer soda! This place is supposed to be the ultimate gift shop but it is really the ultimate gift shop for the true candy and soda lover. They have it all from bottle caps to nerds. And they have the original throwback packaging. Walking through this store truly made me happy. It took me back, way back....too far back. No really, it was super cool to see some of the candies they had on hand. The associates walking around were very friendly and smiled. The only issue I had was that the prices were a little too high. It was $3 for one New York seltzer. A little steep for a sugar rush. Definitely worth a stop in and a walk down memory lane to your sugar high years! read more

This place is AMAZING. They have EVERYTHING I used to love during my childhood. No matter where on Earth you're from, they have it. Browsing through their selection is a trip down the memory lane. If you miss it, they have it. They have a large selection of soda, candy, signs for your man cave, and everything in between. read more

Rocket Fizz is undoubtedly a fun shop to peruse. Lots of unique inventory in the soda and candy department. Stopped in today and was in something of a rush as I was on my lunch break and needed to get back to the office. I purchased four sodas as the sign listed a price break at that quantity. However, I realized later when looking at my CC receipt that I'd been charged the individual price. Not sure if it was an error or just an exclusion to that pricing that I didn't notice, but at any rate the pricing is far too extreme for what I was buying. I'll shop elsewhere. read more

I've been going to rocket fizz for years and loved it, but recently I went in and a super rude girl named jasmine was working there, on the phone loudly and angrily talking to someone while customers were in the store? Incredibly short and wouldn't answer any questions, not wearing a mask :/ would probably never go again knowing she works there read more

Have you ever walked into a store and felt like you were magically transported to another time? That is how I feel every few weeks when I take my kids to Rocket Fizz. Candies, sodas, and pop culture from my own childhood line the shelves and aisles, and products I thought ceased to exist are stacked all over the store. You want obscure some candy the weird lady on your street gave you at Halloween? They got it. You want Cheerwine? They got it. You want a million different brands of root beer? They got it. You want a vintage metal Empire Strikes Back lunchbox exactly like the one you had in 1985? They got it. The saltwater taffy is great, too. read more

Hi everyone & happy new year. I stop by to this location I was looking to buy a chocolate bar. So I pick Bounty which found near the door but when I checked the expiration date I found out expired. I let the lady work there to know that info so to remove it from the shelve. She said: "Oh that's true" then she put it back and back to finish her business. Please check the expiration dates for you & your kids health. Thanks Update 2.1.2022 I visit this store today. Thanks god the business owner look at my previous review & remove the expired chocolate. The positive part of my today's visit that I found my preference chocolate with valid date. When I enter the store I meat the same lady in my previous visit. she was working on putting the chocolate on the shelf while she talking with someone in his EarPods no greeting but she look at me while I am checking my favorite chocolate next her. She seem think I am trying to listening to her conversation. While I am busy checking the chocolate and the expiration date. Then I move to check out she ask me if I need something else. I said " no thanks, but could you please check the expiration date for me? " She look at me then to the chocolate then she put her finger on the expiration date and read it for me. She answer my question but I felt like she want to say " how you could not see it" but she didn't say it but her attitude say it. The printed date not clear enough for that reason I asked for her help. I believe this is part of her job + she not even be polite or smile. I am not sure if she trained enough to welcome customers and act positively. Maybe her phone call more important than her career. I hope she read my review in a positive way she never know maybe one day she will meet VIP in the store and she would love to work with regards her professional attitude. Thanks for reading my review. read more

$5 for a Hersheys bar, $1.99 for one pack of Zots, $2.99 for tic tacs....$23 later...this place is a scam. Two nice Perisan girls working but nothing seems to be priced or the prices are hidden. If you need a candy fix, just walk to Target, not that far from this place. read more

This place is a rip off. Some of the stuff is from places like Daiso. I saw this milky melon candy in the Japanese section that I got for $1.50 at Daiso, but they sold it for like $3.99. Crazy. There were other items is quite a bit cheaper at Mitsuwa and other places, but they charged a premium. All I ask are fair prices, but this is high read more

I finally found a store that I enjoy going to at the Irvine Spectrum. We were here last weekend looking around and stumbled upon this candy store. You're now asking yourself the question, "What's so big about this candy store?" The answer, Nostalgia!!! (candy and soda from your childhood) The price for nostalgia isn't cheap as prices for the candy are higher than normal because of the vast inventory. You'll even find candy you thought was discontinued and other candy from around the world. They also have a huge, and I mean a huge variety of soda, that you remember as a kid and some you didn't know existed. They have cool life-size cardboard figures of pop culture such as Mickey Mouse, Elvis, Marylin Monroe, Big Bang Theory cast, etc. All of it is hard to take in all at once as you'll be roaming around and finding cool and interesting candy and soda. I know I'll be back for sure anytime I'm at the Spectrum. read more

Horribly over priced. Rip OFF. Same candy but 4x's the price. How is this allowed??!! Rocket Fizz should be ashamed and anyone who shops here to support this type of price gouging is a fool. read more

OMG!!!!!! This is the best candy store in whole Irvine!!!! I've met ROCKET FIZZ in Westwood, LA and I really loved it. I talked to the manager, she is super kind, super nice and warming! I really love this store and recommend anyone to go there and treat themselves. read more

Soda + taffy + any candy you could ever think of (even the international ones) + retro vibe = rocket fizz You can buy candy individually, you can buy it in bulk, you can get a combination. You can browse all of the crazy toys and figurines that they have and buy a horse man for your coworker to put on her desk. This is the perfect place for kids and for adults who have a sweet tooth too. Yes, this place is pricier than, for comparison, candy at a grocery store, but the big selection is worth it. If you are walking around the Spectrum with some time to kill, definitely stop by here. read more

Candy and Soda..you can't go wrong with that..not only regular soda but all sorts of mixes of specialty delights ! Haha..I'm not one for candy but will a few special sodas. This is Heaven for the nugget and her friends! read more

My boyfriend (who is 6'5" and Black) and I went into rocket fizz to get some candy and he was followed around the store by one of the workers the entire time, even after he purchased something she followed us out the store. She didn't even try to hide it she made it very obvious. It sucks to know that my boyfriend is being profiled by employees of this store just because of how he looks. We won't be going back to this store for that reason and I would hope you would not as well. read more

AHHHH they finally opened up a Rocket Fizz in OC! HAHAHA candy and soda pop galore YESSSSSSSSSSSS So many different soda pops of so many varieties, you won't be able to count them all. From indie root beers, to caramel and other funky flavors, I absolutely love Rocket Fizz. Just like the one in Pasadena, it's filled to the rafters with gizmos and candy gadgets, so awesomeee!!! It's like you've gone to a roadhouse convenience store from the 1960s or something! the vibe and atmosphere of candy is alike a retro kid's playground. oh absolutely love it. read more

Despite the high prices, I'm so glad I stumbled upon this place. This place has candies, sodas, and novelty items! Sodas: any weird flavor you can think of, they probably have it. We got bacon soda, jalapeno lime, butter beer and some other weird flavor I can't remember at the moment. Huge selection and we took a while choosing all the weird ones we wanted to try. Candies: the have a lot of different candies and they have a lot from different counties as well. A lot of them you can't find at normal candy stores so it was really cool to browse. Novelty/gag gift items: always some of my favorite stuff to browse. They were scattered throughout the store. Overall, this place is a really cool place to browse even if you don't plan on buying anything though don't say I didn't warn you if you step out the door with something! read more

I'm a candy nut, so this place had my head spinning. Wow an assortment of so many candles. From old to new, you'll most likely find it here. Great staff too!! read more

What I assume to be the owner, is incredibly rude and unprofessional. as my friend and I walk around the store, looking at their incredibly overpriced candy, the owner continued to hover over and follow us all around the store. this included peaking into our bags as we walked by. As she knocked over something, I bent down to help her pick it up out of my kindness, she continued to be extremely hostile. As we left the store, with our purchasing anything, we were chased down. We turn back to see the owner YELLING at us demanding we "give back" and "show her" the candy we have previously been holding and had put back onto the shelves. As I led her back to the original place I put the candy down, she didn't even apologize for the incredibly rude claim and interaction. If you enter this store, don't "look around" to long, as it might startle the employees prompting them to accuse you of stealing. VERY unhappy and will never come back. read more

If you have a sweet tooth and want something exotic or unique than my friend, your are in for a sweet sweet treat indeed. Let's not ask what this place has but the reverse quest; WHAT DOESNT THIS PLACE HAVE!! I mean it's got flipping everything you could ask for especially if you want a refreshing drink because you got at least 400 to pick from! You wanna try something unique from a different country? Well this place will give you many to choose from with no questions asked. When I had first walked into the place I was very amused and dazzled about all the delightful trinkets and candies in every nook and cranny of the store. I didn't know where to begin! Like I said before, there are many unique and exquisite beverages that I can't imagine you can find anywhere else. Like buffalo chicken wing or jelly bean soda? Like what the heck! It's awesome, it's genius and brilliant! You tell me when another candy store has got these types of drinks and then I'll stop, but meanwhile I will continue my review on this unforgettable place. They also have buckets of unique and interesting taffy flavor to choose along with other selections of bulk candy such as laggy taffy. They also got normal and generic candy here but I wouldn't bother when you could get the same sweet at any grocery store for less $. Why you go to Rocket Fizz is not for anything basic or bland, you go for the experience, you go for the separation from the other regular candy stores. Overall, if you want something special and different and are craving some sugar. Then I wholeheartedly recommend this place, and I bet you won't be disappointed, because this place is sure impressive. read more

Back from the UK and miss your wine gums? A bit too lazy to order your TimTams online and want them yesterday? Well RocketFizz is here to rescue. RocketFizz imports their deliciousness weekly and has candies and chocolates that other ethnic grocery stores just can't offer! Wine Gums, Cadbury Crunch and TimTams galore! You get all of your favorites and more, but you get it at a sharp premium. I am not ashamed to say that I happily pay that premium to get their good service and glorious assortment of candies. I spoke with the associates here and they advised that they order their candies weekly so you get a different assortment every week. Deliciousness such deliciousness. But I took one star off for the harsh prices. Ouch, it hurts. read more

Rocket Fizz is a product of a family-run business which carries many imported chocolate, candies, and soda pops. The walls are lined with gag gifts, there are life-size cut-outs on the back on display, refrigerated drinks for all! I came in here expecting something like Fuzziwig's Chocolate Factory (located by Dave and Buster's, Chipotle, carousel area) but NOPE! As soon as I walked in, I felt like crying of happiness because they carried my AERO bars from Nestle. Now, let me explain, dear reader, why this made me so emotional. I got addicted to them a few summers ago when I flew back to Canada-land to visit family. I was only able to smuggle a couple of them to last me roughly six months. I had to special order them from the Nestle Tollhouse store in Foothill Ranch and they ran out the next time I was back in to order them. I no longer have to lie awake at night wondering when my next hit of chocolate is going to be. THANK YOU ROCKET FIZZ! Everyone in my family can find something that they like here: Smarties, Coffee Crisp, Cadbury chocolate bars, Kit Kat flavors from Japan, mexican coke, mexican 7UP (made with sugar cane instead of high fructose corn syrup and it tastes amazing, just try it). Although a bit expensive, I will make this shop my place to go get my chocolate bars because even though they have LOTS of candies, the atmosphere is very bright and cheerful. People working there are nice, the aisles have room for people to walk around, and the lighting is brighter. Maybe they do that on purpose? I don't know. They have got me hooked, that's for sure. read more

it is soo hard to find different bottled grape sodas and root beers. Root beers are always easier to find but you always end up getting the same 4-5 bottles. This place was amazing! I walked out with 8 different grape soda bottles that I had NEVER seen before. They had about another 6-8 that I had already tried. Their root beer selection was significantly larger than their grape soda collection. It looked likethey had at least 20-25 different kinds of root beer. I'm not even mentioning the other drinks they had like cola, other fruit sodas, etc. Great great place if you want to try new sodas for reasonable prices. I'll definitely be back read more

This place is definitely an eye candy. Pun intended!!!!! I was looking for a specific candy; a sour spaghetti multicolored candy by Haribo's???? Anyways, I asked one of the front cashiers who I forgot to ask the name of, but she knew exactly what I was talking about and pulled out a box from the back. Turns out they didn't have it out yet. She's awesome. I want to try so many more things in this candy packed store. read more

Great selection of imported and vintage candies; things you cannot find anywhere else. Huge array of sodas for purchase in cases or by the bottle (most single sodas are even kept cold, a huge plus!) Decor is awesome: a cross between an old school candy store and a comic book shop. Super friendly staff, even when they were busy, and fast transactions. Would be 5 stars if prices were just a touch more reasonable. read more

Chocolate and Candy bars EVERYWHERE... it's like u r walking in heaven a very cool shop with super friendly staff

I first heard about Rocket Fizz through yelp and wanted to buy some taffy. When I walked in, I was overwhelmed by how many taffy flavors there were and how much candy they had. This store is great for its taffy variety and filling up a large bag for $8? A great deal too. The reason why I'm writing this review is because of the phenomenal service I received. Even though I was only there for taffy, I wanted to try a soda too. There was a blonde girl who helped me explain to me all about the sodas (and which one was the best or the worst). If you're in need of help at this store, definitely ask any of the friendly employees. The ones that helped me out when I went were a tall guy with curly hair and a blonde girl with glasses. I'll definitely be back for more taffy. read more
