I have driven past this candy store more times than I can count. We finally stopped in. First of all, the decor is adorable. It's like hello Kitty's house. We got chocolate covered raisins, malt balls, and cashews. All of them were yummy. The chocolate covering was very thick and decadent. I noticed a bakery portion and ice cream section. We bought two gourmet sugar cookies with buttercream icing. They were gorgeous to look at. But, more importantly, they were amazing! Soft, sweet and fresh. Holy s***! The game changer was the brownie. Best brownie ever!!! Hands down. I'm legit going to get it for my birthday every year. It's huge, ooey and gooey. There is caramel and chocolate throughout. The fresh-made ice cream was rich and delicious. The kids enjoyed their ice cream at the bench behind the ice cream bar while I browsed the candy section. They had a selection of Tokidoki bags, some of which were on sale. They also had lot of fun merchandise like shapeable soap. read more

This place is so dang cute. We were driving down PCH and the eye catching facade sparkled and lured us in. The fresh baked cookies (peanut butter, snickerdoodle, and chocolate chip), brownies, and unique ice cream flavors were a hit. The store itself has fun novelty gifts, packaged candy, bulk candy, stuffed animals, etc. It's like if a cotton candy machine exploded inside but in all the best ways. Highly recommend coming here. Stumbled into this adorable candy/ ice cream shop last week in Newport! Located in Corona Del Mar! It was a hot sunny day last Friday. I stopped in and wanted something refreshing the man offered me samples of two of the sorbets. I picked the grapefruit sorbet in a sugar cone! I'll probably be dreaming of this sherbet forever! We love to come here every time we stay in Laguna beach for spring break or summer break. It's our tradition, it's such a cute place and we always like to come and shop and take pics of course! I did not realize it's so far from Laguna Beach so I called ahead of time (well it's really not that far but with Traffic it took us about 30 minutes from our hotel) so I called ahead of time (we got there maybe 10 minutes before closing) ...the girl on the phone was so sweet and she said that they would be open (because my girls would've been so disappointed if we drove there and they closed) So of course we got there in a few minutes time to shop before they closed the shop. OH the store is just as cute as I remember if not cuter, they have the cutest candies and also they have cookies and treats in the cold case and Ice Cream as well. We drove from San Diego to the candy shoo just to take my daughter and her facial expression was priceless when we walked in! We drove by this place couple of times and we were finally able to visit! It was so much fun the staff was outstanding! Treated us really nice. This place is full of a kid's dreams. We got some taffy candy, some fidgets, mini V-Day cakes. It saddens me to write this review because my family and I have been visiting B. Candy since it first opened. It has long been one of our favorite local candy stores. But our most recent visit left a really bad taste in my mouth and I don't know if we'll be back. I stopped by this weekend with my 8 year old. We chose a few candy packs and my son also opted for a scoop of his favorite Cookie Monster ice cream. The gentleman who rang us up didn't even offer a smile or friendly conversation. His only question to me was, "Do you guys live around here?" When I answered, "Yup, we live right up the street," he kind of just nodded. No further conversation, no smile, nothing. In the context of friendly convo, I'd take this question as part of normal, casual small talk. But the way it was asked, and given the vibe we got since we walked in, let's just say it didn't seem like a kind-natured question. My family and I have lived in Newport Coast for over ten years and I've brought my kids to B. Candy on occasion since they were toddlers, but the way I was asked this made me feel very uncomfortable. read more

We are twentysomethings, thirtysomethings and their parentals. Good ice cream with playful presentation. The mini cakes made it home and were great that evening. A lot of very unusual toys, candies and other things for sale....if unicorns ran shops on the Route 66 through Candyland, this is what it would look like. This is my favorite candy shop of all time....and I am very crazy for sweets lol. It's boutique style with really unique candy and toys. The best part are the baked goods and ice cream!! I am obsessed with their Sugar Cookies....they're the best I've ever had and ever have found. They have these adorable decadent mini cakes too. The ice cream is small batch and really high quality...everything they sell is. They make shakes and stuff too. They have restrooms for customers and seating at this adorable bar type counter inside. They also have cute tables outside and a couple really cute spots to take photos with colorful candy and ice cream as your background. I drive from SD to Corona Del Mar for this place, and am happy to do it! It's like a real treat for myself. They're a little pricey, but what you would expect from a boutique style place and I think it's very well worth it. I LOOOVE this place. Little side note: ask for your receipt and be sure to look at it before you leave....the last time I did, I discovered I was billed for 3 cakes when I only got 2 (they're like $8 each). I took my daughter and cousin here and they loved it. They are family owned and make their own ice cream and sweets. I love the old school candy and drink selection and decor inside and especially outside. The clothing and other none sweets items are a bit pricey but other than that I would recommend this establishment. The staff is also friendly and helpful. read more

Once you walk in the door you smell the wonderful aroma of freshly made waffle cones. The world conditioning is very welcoming in this September heat. This is a bakery, candy shop, ice cream shop, and gift store for the kid in all of us. The employees are all very nice and this is an adorable candy store on PCH in the middle of Corona Del Mar. This absolutely adorable store is a candy land dream! From the outside-in, the bright colors and whimsical theme draw you right in. This store has so much to offer, from bakery items, ice cream, cakes, candy to the cutest merchandise and apparel. I had found this place on Instagram and ordered a cake for my daughter. I ended up also purchasing several cute gifts for her and her brothers. I had to stop myself from buying more items, as I could have easily spent a mini fortune. Her cake was absolutely amazing! Stephanie (baker) really knocked it out of the park. The top of my daughter's cake had candy pieces of all sizes, and flavors. It was incredible:) With my boys birthday just around the corner they too wanted a special cake. One of my boys wanted a cartoon dog cake with Oreo cookie filling.
