All sorts of delightful candied apples. Traditional and all out flair. A very good variety.

Don't get this. Too hard and stale

What a cute store at Fashion Island mall in Newport Beach!! Don't get the honeycomb though. Too hard and stale! The dark chocolate patties are good!!

Visitors can't leave Balboa Island without trying a frozen banana or Balboa bar. I opted for the frozen banana covered in chocolate, rainbow sprinkles and toasted almonds. It was a nice afternoon treat with the most of sweetness coming from the banana. There was a long line at another store and Too Sweet was quicker and did not disappoint. I also purchased six truffles which was reasonably priced. The chocolates were excellent. The shop is clean and bright.

Went there with my family from out of town and noticed too sweet. I seen the big lines at the other places and decided to give this small place a try come to find out that everything they have is fresh, , You can get small banana,l or a big banana, and the ripeness is just perfect. The chocolate is Quality and the candy apples are to die for must try the chocolate dipped licorice and the turtles peanut butter cups I mean everything there is just off the chain,. This place is a sleeper people don't know what they're missing.

This is hands down one of the best chocolate places I've been to. We wanted to order more chocolates but decided to be good since we had plans for dinner in a few hours. Both of the chocolates we got were really good and surprisingly not super decadent or sweet. I would definitely come back here in a heartbeat! I regret not taking some home with me.

We came in 10 minutes before closing and didn't feel rushed at all by the nice guy behind the counter who helped us. Extra star for the service! These are on the pricy size and a bit too sweet for me. The chocolate coating and sweet toffee/Oreo toppings on really sweet vanilla ice cream was too much SWEET for my taste buds and had me grabbing for my Perrier. My youngest got the frozen yogurt next door that is also part of the ice cream/ chocolate shop and we were all jealous of his lighter and less sweet flavors. He ate it all when he usually just eats the yogurt coated candy which means it's good! We also tried the milk chocolate espresso truffles and the graham cracker milk chocolate covered cookies, they were delicious! We will be back for the chocolate! Another star for the chocolate!

****Chicolate Dipped, Toffee Encrusted, Rainbow Sprinkled Frozen Banana!**** Banana Row is a block or two of shops serving up Chocolate dipped frozen bananas. This shop is a bit different in that they also are a yogurt and a chocolate shop. The shop is split in two. One side is yogurt and the other has a large chocolate and candy display. Behind the counter is where the prize sits...chocolate dipped, toffee encrusted, and sprinkle laden frozen banana! ~Chocolate Dipped, Toffee & Sprinkle Banana- 4 Stars! The frozen bananas are ripe and dipped in a quality chocolate. The toppings include sprinkles and toffee. The chocolate is good. The rainbow sprinkles have a nice flavor. The toffee is the show stopper. Excellent quality and taste, the toffee was an excellent choice with the chocolate dipped banana. I did a 50/50 combo with the rainbow sprinkles. The shop also sells chocolate and this may explain the quality toppings. I also got a giant Oreo. While there are many choices for the frozen banana, this one is my favorite. I am a fan! Too Sweet, Newport Beach...another reason the OC is the best place to live!

    Loving the gummy turtles!

First time trying a famous Balboa Island frozen banana! There were many other chocolate goodies but we wanted to keep it traditional. What also caught my eye was the jar of turtle gummies...they looked super cute as their shells were different colored. I will have to try those next time and see how they compare to other gummy snacks I have had (mostly gummy worms). Back to the banana, I liked how there were options on the toppings. My husband chose the almonds and his brother chose the peanuts. I tried both and they were equally satisfying. The frozen banana came out to about 4 bucks but it was plenty for one person. In fact, my husband and I shared a banana and it was enough to satisfy my craving. The location is in the heart of the Balboa shopping strip and there are tables and benches right outside so you can sit and enjoy your dessert. For all you froyo fans out there, this location was attached to a self-serve frozen yogurt spot so you have plenty of dessert options! Will definitely be back. There was another banana stand next to this shop but there was always a long line so I will probably just go back here again since I'm not sure how much better the banana can get. Parking is difficult, thought, so be sure to prepare for that! We got lucky this time, someone was leaving a spot right when we drove by. Good luck!

    Balboa bars

Yum! Had my first balboa bar here, after reading that theirs was the best with the best quality chocolate. I also read from that same review that elsewhere close by has balboa bars that taste like styrofoam, ouch haha. So we went here! Highly recommend the toffee + peanut mixture (you get two topping choices) or the toffee + brown sugar cinnamon. Such a good experience.

The sweetness was well balanced, and the flavors were enjoyable without being overpowering. I probably would not go out of my way to purchase them again, but for those who prefer chocolates that are not too sweet or too bold in flavor, these would suit their palate well. I was able to sample several pieces with my kid although we primarily visited this shop to pick up the viral dubai chocolare (at least during the time when dubai chocolate flavor was getting hyped up). The service from the associates have always been great, as I've visited randomly since this location is close to Jamboree Rd and in the same plaza as a self car wash spot. It may be a bit pricey but it certainly is a unique chocolate boutique shop with lots to offer. It may sound very corporate, but I feel like this is the type of chocolate you would want to order to gift a bunch of office team members or to distribute as client gifts during the holidays. All in all, great shop with great chocolate!

They were handing out samples of their hazelnut chocolate bars, and after one bite, I knew I had to step inside to look around and try some more. Such luxuriously rich and smooth chocolate morsels that melt so exquisitely in your mouth (where you can taste and smell the layers of quality ingredients contained in each piece). Really took me back to my last trip to Switzerland when I overindulged in chocolates and fondue (and it was so very worth it). Pricing is by the pound if you get items a la carte. Truffles and pralines are $84 per lb (works out to be average of $3 per piece) and their chocolate bark bars (aka FrischSchoggi) are about $60 to $64 per lb. Otherwise there are prepackaged boxes at set prices ranging from about $20 to $150 and more. Today I sampled the hazelnut chocolate bar, pava praline square, a white chocolate espresso truffle, and a champagne truffle. I ultimately decided to purchase the pava praline set (comes with 8 pieces) and 5 pieces of the white chocolate expresso truffles. Total was just under $40. Truffles came in nicely designed, minimalistic boxes. They are located on the second floor of the Bloomingdale's wing of South Coast Plaza, above Sephora.
