I had a cheeseburger and my buddy had a bacon cheeseburger. Nothing exciting about our food. The bacon was microwaved too long. Sadly, this place has gone downhill. They have hundreds of different types of sodas, so if you're into that, it could be an added benefit. I don't drink soda without alcohol, so the review will only be fore the food. I tried the New Yorker which was like a burger and a pastrami sandwich had a baby. Basically a regular burger with pastrami and coleslaw piled high. Burger patties were cooked well. Great food! Was in the mood for a burger, heard about this place for awhile. Packed the family up and had a great lunch here. I had the bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. Burger was great, Bun, cheese, bacon, ground beef. It's a little big, and messy but worth it. Kids loved the hot dogs, and fries. Wife enjoyed her burger also. There were other options on the menu I would love to try next time. Parking is not the best, but thats the way it goes. Not a lot of seating, however there are some. Rocket Burger is a staple to the neighborhood that I grew up in. I've been visiting this place pretty much since they opened up. Their food is top notch for what you would consider a fast food joint. FOOD: So I have tried a few items on the menu over the years. My absolute favorite used to be their Tuna Sub that was discontinued because I was told that not enough people were ordering it and they were wasting a bunch of tuna. Which is sad because the sub was amazing and just great. I did try a Ruben Sandwich once and wasn't too keen on it. I mainly didn't care for it just because I took it home and the bread was soggy, but the meat and flavor was amazing. My new favorite food item on their menu is the Garlic Melt Burger. The flavor is incredible and the burgers are always cooked just right. Don't forget to grab an order of their cheese fries. They are terrible for you, but they taste amazing and are well worth it. Of course you cannot forget about the ridiculously wide selection of soda pops that you can buy and try. SERVICE: I have never had any issues with service here. The staff is primarily all the original workers who are awesome and really dedicated to some great food. OVERALL: Rocket Burger is an incredible neighborhood spot to stop by and grab a soda and burger. They have a ton of menu options for food to try that are all good. I wish they would bring the tuna back, but completely understand. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I have suggested it for years now. read more

I ordered a Rocketburger with cheese and a fountain drink. My total was just under $12.00. Here is how it was.......... Rocketburger with cheese- Meh. This thing came with 3 patties, lettuce, tomato, onions and cheese. It also had pickles and a "rocket sauce" aka thousand island. The bun was a sub type roll and was fine. All the ingredients were not that great though. The burgers were way way way too salty, small and didn't taste good. The dressing had a weird "tang" to it also. The cheese and bun were the only good things about it. At around $10.00, I was dissapointed. My mouth was swollen dry afterwards because of the salt! Never again! I ate the whole thing but would never get another one. Diet Pepsi- This was partly my bad. They have 1000 or so bottled sodas for sale but I chose a fountain drink. The Diet Pepsi was nasty! The worst fountain soda I have ever had. Tasted like root beer mixed with dirty water. So nasty! The guy at the counter and the guy who brought me my burger were friendly. Portions are very large and prices aren't much more than fast food. You are getting food that's MUCH Better than fast food. After watching RB&S on Check Please Arizona I went with what everyone else tried the popular NY Double Burger with fries. I liked that they carefully toasted the buns and the burgers were prepared medium just like I asked for and were juicy and tasty. A generous amount of tasty grilled pastrami and house made slaw and rocket sauce topped the burger. It was all good tasty and humungous and a giant amount of fresh cut fried potatoes were yummy too.
