Found this place doing a Yelp search while in the area on business. I went with the New York Burger and fries. The burger was very good with great flavor. A bit of a sloppy mess and I would have preferred a burger patty about half again in size (definitely go with the double burger). Fries were actually cooked correctly being nicely golden brown. Let me start by saying I've been going to Rocket Burger for several years. Used to be a family treat to go and give the kids any option on the soda wall. Today I went to do Lunch. I had a cheeseburger and my buddy had a bacon cheeseburger. Nothing exciting about our food. The bacon was microwaved too long. Sadly, this place has gone downhill. I say this areviewing my last couple lunches/dinners there. Apparently they switched hands a lil while ago. The quality of ingredients are poor. The rocket sauce is sour. The servings are smaller. 100% a hidden gem. The only issue I had was picking one soda lol What a lovely surprise next to Church's chicken on 35th ave & Cactus. We ordered the Tomahawk combo and the garlic melt combo. Kind of a hole in the wall counter service burger and specialty soda shop. Almost looks like a convenience store when you walk up. They have hundreds of different types of sodas, so if you're into that, it could be an added benefit. I don't drink soda without alcohol, so the review will only be fore the food. I tried the New Yorker which was like a burger and a pastrami sandwich had a baby. Basically a regular burger with pastrami and coleslaw piled high. Burger patties were cooked well. Coleslaw and sauce were delicious. Pastrami was a little tough. For the price, it was a solid burger and I would definitely go back and try something else. read more

I love this place. They have so many different flavors of soda and food. They have green chili cheeseburgers among so many different things. Burgers are always good. The chicken wings are sooooooo good I want all the time. While so many of the sodas are good, some of them aren't my taste but that doesn't mean I won't try every one. The people are nice. And if like soda this is the place. The bottle sodas are kinda pricy for a six pack but if you like something with your meal, might as well get a bottle. read more

Great food! Was in the mood for a burger, heard about this place for awhile. Packed the family up and had a great lunch here. I had the bacon cheeseburger and chili cheese fries. Burger was great, Bun, cheese, bacon, ground beef. It's a little big, and messy but worth it. Kids loved the hot dogs, and fries. Wife enjoyed her burger also. There were other options on the menu I would love to try next time. Parking is not the best, but thats the way it goes. Not a lot of seating, however there are some. I know this place gets a lot of high ratings. I'm not sure why. You get a choice of single, double or Rocket which is 3 patties. I got a single. Remember the commercial where the lady asks "WHERES THE BEEF"???? Well, when my wife and I got our burgers we looked at each other and yes we both said in unison WHERES THE BEEF??? I have never seen a burger patty this thin in my 70 years. I mean even if you got a triple burger,you'd be hard pressed to find the beef. And really, isn't that what a burgers all about? Now a cool feature of this place is the wall of sodas from around the country and the 24 flavors of soft serve. But my wife got the espresso soft serve and we took one taste and that was enough. "Where's the coffee"?? So, if you are looking for a place with great burgers, just walk on by Rocket Burger. Phoenix has some really great burger places, this isn't one of them. read more

Rocket Burger is a staple to the neighborhood that I grew up in. I've been visiting this place pretty much since they opened up. Their food is top notch for what you would consider a fast food joint. FOOD: So I have tried a few items on the menu over the years. My absolute favorite used to be their Tuna Sub that was discontinued because I was told that not enough people were ordering it and they were wasting a bunch of tuna. Which is sad because the sub was amazing and just great. I did try a Ruben Sandwich once and wasn't too keen on it. I mainly didn't care for it just because I took it home and the bread was soggy, but the meat and flavor was amazing. My new favorite food item on their menu is the Garlic Melt Burger. The flavor is incredible and the burgers are always cooked just right. Don't forget to grab an order of their cheese fries. They are terrible for you, but they taste amazing and are well worth it. Of course you cannot forget about the ridiculously wide selection of soda pops that you can buy and try. SERVICE: I have never had any issues with service here. The staff is primarily all the original workers who are awesome and really dedicated to some great food. OVERALL: Rocket Burger is an incredible neighborhood spot to stop by and grab a soda and burger. They have a ton of menu options for food to try that are all good. I wish they would bring the tuna back, but completely understand. I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I have suggested it for years now. read more

I ordered the fried mushroom and the The New Yorker sub. There wasn't very much meat on the sub, it was mostly all coleslaw. A little disappointed to be honest. The fried mushrooms were ok.
