Best pecan pie ever? Could be! We only had dessert and coffee here on our drive through town but it was fantastic. The food being taken to other tables sure looked good! Super nice ladies taking care of everyone. Deffo worth a stop.

I took a route 66 trip with my family and stopped at this amazing place! The food options were amazing. They also have a gift shop. The service was wonderful and friendly, and the place was clean with beautiful art. I would definitely go back.

Fun place to visit while traveling Route 66. My husband loved his bacon cheeseburger. My breaded chicken tenders were more breading than white meat. My mashed potatoes and green beans were flavorful. The waitresses were very attentive and they kept our drinks filled. You can take home your souvenir cup. The staff handled the crowd with ease. The diner was appropriately noisy with the buzz of hungry patrons. We will come back if in the state again.

If your traveling sown Rt 66 and your in the area then this is a MUST stop. The burgers are some of the best u will ever have. The chicken fried steak is also a good pick. AAA+++

This was a great place to grab a Saturday lunch. I told my wife that we'll start taking a Saturday or Sunday and try different restaurants in OK. We chose the Rock Cafe as our destination. It was an hour drive from Oklahoma City and upon arrival we parked but couldn't really locate the entrance. Once we did we were greeted and seated immediately. There were several open tables and it appeared that we may have missed the lunch crowd. A delightful server (Alyssa - no clue if we spelled her name right) guided us through the menu and made great suggestions. She checked on us periodically and at one point in time provided history regarding the restaurant. Very informative! Especially to tell the story about Betsy, the name of the grill. She even took us back to the kitchen to check it out after we finished our meal. Pretty awesome to know that the grill was the only thing left after a fire destroyed the restaurant in 2008. We decided on Fried Pickles as an appetizer they were very good. Both of us decided on the Chicken Fried Steak. It was good but to be perfectly honest a steak knife would have worked better than a butter knife. The mashed potatoes were real, the fried okra was perfectly cooked and crispy. I was pleasantly surprised that I could order dessert. Typically I don't but this time I managed to save room. We choose the Peach Cobbler to split. I found it to be overly sweet and although we ate it all it was not my favorite. After we finished eating we made a short walk to the Ed Smalley Centennial Park which is adjacent to the restaurant. A very nice tribute to those who served in the Armed Forces.

Jagerschnitzel! If this doesn't fill you up, nothing will! So delicious. My plan to save room for peach cobbler was a total fail!

Great service! Great food! And they bring you in through what feels like a back door, but it's so you get to see "Betty" the mighty grill!

Best biscuits ever! So light and the bacon was perfect !!

Delicious. You can taste the history. The bacon was so good. You can taste the grill flavoring. It is the same grill from 1939!!

Cowboy candy! Fried onion strips and jalapeños.

Met an associate from the OKC area for breakfast this morning. The omelette was good, the service was great (Amber) and I'll visit again.

We visit Shawnee once a year usually memorial Day weekend so…read morethat means that some local eateries are closed for the holiday weekend. We tried to come here last year but they were closed. They were open this morning so off we went. This little place is in downtown Shawnee. It's a seat yourself place with bar seating at the open kitchen. We sat at a booth and were immediately greeted. The service was great. Coffee was much better than what our hotel offered. I ordered the "sausage patty" meal which was choice of meat, choice of toast or grits and choice of hash browns or home potatoes with 2 eggs your way. I chose the bacon, home toast, and home potatoes. I was not disappointed. The home toast is made in house and was thick cut, buttered and griddle toasted. Yummy! Hubby got the western omelet with hashbrowns and enjoyed it. Son got the 3 buttermilk pancakes and hashbrowns. It was clean plates all around. We will def be back!
