We were told the dining area was "full" and that the only option was to sit at the bar--which would have been fine if there were actually clean tables to sit at. Instead, there were at least seven tables sitting full of dirty dishes that hadn't been cleared. It made no sense--if you're turning guests away from tables, why are they all still covered in mess? There was nowhere clean to sit even if we wanted to. We ended up just sitting at a dirty table till they cleaned it. To make matters worse, there appeared to be only one server responsible for three booths, eight 4-tops, and two 10-tops. That's completely unreasonable and unfair to both the staff and customers. Service was slow, disorganized, and clearly overwhelmed. Overall, this felt like a total lack of management and basic operations. How do you not plan for that? read more

At first glance, the brewery aspect was great. I ordered the red rocks, red ale and it was really good. I would definitely come here for the bar. However, I would not eat at this restaurant again. I didn't think the menu looked very expansive but it did seem quite expensive. Especially because the quality is not there. I ordered the sliders with fries and they were not good. I can't sugarcoat this because it simply is what it is. The buns were greasy and hard. The meat and burger itself was flavorless and just not good. I've had a lot of sliders in my time and these weren't just not even quality wise near anyone's I've had before. The fries were decent, but it's not hard to make good fries. Overall, I would not eat a rock bottom restaurant again, but I would come here for beer, especially because they have a great happy hour I would love to check out again! I hadn't been to Iraq bottom and a really long time but they have a very nice patio and the beers were good. The food left a lot to be desired though our pizza was rough. Pretty good dinner last night. Our group sat in the bar area, which had open seating. I had the mango habanero chicken. A little odd that the mango is served on the side as a side dish, but maybe that's intentional so as to not overly cool the chicken. It was kind of like the old McDLT...keeping the hot side hot and the cold side cold. No worries here. Everything was quite good. The green beans were a bit salty for my taste, but they were fine. Others in my group enjoyed the ribeye, salmon and shrimp, and soup and salad. I hit Rock Bottom in Denver... and enjoyed it. No, I didn't pass out on a curb again, but I was able to dine at this chain brew-pub and had some good food for lunch and a good wheat beer too. There used to be more of these around the US, and was happy to see this familiar place while traveling. The cajun fish tacos were excellent. I liked the mix of hard shell tacos and soft flour tortillas to give the non-breaded fish tacos some crunch. The flavors were excellent. Service was a bit slow on a not-too-busy afternoon, but we weren't in a hurry so we didn't think anything of it. Usually lunches go fast though. For lunch I got the boneless wings in the sweet chili sauce and they had a good kick to them! This is my favorite restaurant--after years of working in the Omaha location I come in every time I'm in CO since Nebraska no longer has any Rock Bottoms! I came in with a group of 11 and had no issue getting a table at 2pm on a Saturday--but we did have to sit at 2 separate tables next to each other. In making the reservation we were told it needed to be 1 check, but since we were sat at 2 tables we were able to split into 2. The food was absolutely delicious! Every time I come in the menu is somewhat different. The hot honey chicken pizza was absolutely fantastic--this is something I would never think to order but it was the star of the show in my opinion!! The pretzel sticks and queso were also incredible! We loved the tater tots and nachos--the ratio of toppings to chips is always perfect here, but this time we got hardly any beef which was disappointing. The Mac and cheese is always top of my list here, but they definitely changed the recipe a few years ago since it is more of the creamy/velveeta taste vs. the very sharp cheesy taste it used to be. Still good, but not my personal favorite anymore. The beets and drinks we tried were great as always! Our server did a great job taking care of us as well. I asked for their carrot cake to go, and when she informed me they were out she was kind enough to fulfill my request for a to-go ramekin of their caramel sauce which is my favorite, so I could use this on finding another piece of cake elsewhere. Rock Bottom is known for its awarding winning brews & each location has their own Brewmaster. Since it was a sunny warm day we sat on the covered patio. It was fun to be outside & people watch, although the music was quite loud. The inside bar & restaurant are huge, with a cool vibe. Service was good & our server friendly. We ordered an appetizer, a side & a sandwich... all delicious. The Beer Battered Onions Rings were not only enormous but crunchy & flavorful. The Cilantro Lime Ranch made a great dipping sauce. The Crispy Brussels Sprouts were tasty but were in too much sauce which made the sprouts somewhat soggy. The sauce did have a nice spice to it. The Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with Tater Tots were good. It was an enjoyable lunch on a beautiful Spring day - next time we'll try something from the Beer Menu! read more

This was my first time at Rock Bottom Brewery in Denver, and I checked it out with a group of friends after it was recommended by someone in our group. We decided to order a bunch of appetizers, which meant I got to try quite a bit of their menu! The standout for me was the Hot Nashville Chicken Pizza--I wasn't expecting to love it as much as I did, but it was seriously good. We also ordered wings, nachos, and an honorable mention goes to the tots with their delicious cheese sauce. The nachos were probably my least favorite, mostly because there wasn't much beef on them, but overall, the food was solid. For a brewery, I was expecting a bit more variety in their beer selection, but what we did try was really good. The service was also great--our server was super friendly, explained the menu well, and answered all our questions. The space itself is big, and they have a patio, which would've been great to try if it hadn't been so cold that day. It seems like a fun spot to hang out with friends, and while it works for bigger groups, I'd say not too big since we had to split up into 2 tables. I have been here a few times over the years of living in Denver metro area and it always seems like a fairly solid place to grab a beer or lunch/dinner. We decided after seeing a ballet to stop in and have a late lunch. I think everyone else had the same idea because the whole place got packed extremely quickly. I felt bad because there was just one server for the whole bar area and seating by the front door. That is a big section, especially all at once. She was awesome though and honestly handled it very well. We ordered a couple of beers and decided to split a French dip with a side of garlic parm fries. When food was coming out I noticed that one of the bartenders ( may have been a manager) was helping her run food. That was super helpful I am sure. He brought out our food and we noticed there were no fries. My husband mentioned we were missing our fries and the guy ran back to the kitchen and left a plate on our table with regular fries. He ran quickly so we weren't able to catch him. Our server walked by and we mentioned to her that the fries should be the up charged garlic parm fries. She apologized and ran back to the kitchen. Shortly after she brought this giant plate of garlic parm fries. I felt bad but she was quick with it all. The French dip was delicious. The meat was seasoned well, the bread was soft and the jus was perfectly salted. I would totally get that again. The food and drinks were fantastic I got like a Prosecco cocktail which was so refreshing and yummy. Their Brussels sprouts had a spicy glaze on it that was to die for. The veggie burger was really filling although it did not pass my test for veggie burgers as it fell apart after my first bite but it was still really good. First time in Denver. Found this place near our hotel. Maybe some of the best chicken strips I have ever had. So tender and the sauces, "Firecracker" and "Nashville Hot" were outstanding. The spinach dip was entirely too salty and the chips it comes with are greasy and not especially tasty. The pulled pork sandwich was extremely spicy and that was not mentioned on the menu. My girlfriend can't do spicy as it wrecks her stomach. The salmon was incredible and perfect. For a 100 dollar meal, we simply expected better. The only good thing I can say is that they had good music playing and it wasn't drowing everything out. Let's see...roaches in the bathroom. My fiancé asked the waiter for their gluten sensitive menu (AS THEY HAVE ADVERTISED ON THE MENU ITSELF MIND YOU) and the waiter goes "uhhh we don't have one...we got gluten free buns." Oh...okay. So...why does it say there is a gluten sensitive menu on the initial menu they hand you? I'm not done yet by the way--about the food. The water smelled weird--I don't think water is supposed to have a smell. The tater tots were WAY overcooked--they had no flavor, and hard. Chicken sandwich looked a bit pink in the middle. Also was supposed to have guacamole (southwest chicken sandwich)--no guacamole. I won't be back. If anyone reading wants to try this place--go for it. This was my experience though.
