Neighborhood family restaurant with plenty of local customers stopping in few a couple of slices or full meals. Very friendly and welcoming if you are in the area and hungry for affordable traditional tasty fare. Neighborhood parking available.

Wrap filled to the brim with chicken

I won a gift certificate in a local raffle for Rocco's, so I decided to order a few things off of the menu for my family and I to try. I placed an order for pickup and it was hot and ready in less than 20 minutes. I ordered a large plain pie, a chicken caesar wrap (comes with fries), and an order of chicken tenders and french fries. The pizza was enjoyable but not my favorite of all time (classically thin, not too much cheese, and a plain tomato sauce). I would've preferred a slightly sweeter sauce and more cheese on top (see photo). The chicken Caesar wrap was DELICIOUS. The chicken could've been more seasoned, but it was still great. The wrap was filled with chicken and a good amount of dressing, and it came out nice and hot. I was also able to taste Parmesan so the flavor was definitely to my liking. The fries were good too (long and crispy). My kids enjoyed the chicken tenders (my teenager said they're your average chicken tenders for a local pizza spot). Also, when I was taking the food to go, a staff member (Adrian) was kind enough to carry my order to my car for me. All in all it was a good experience and I'd call it a solid pizza spot.

    The big Rocco!

A taste of home! This corner pizzeria brought back so many memories from my childhood. I had the big Rocco based on a local's recommendation and it was fabulous. The salad was fresh and the atmosphere plain old fun. The bread was just like my moms....I tried to get the recipe but I couldn't get the ratios, haha Thank you, I hope to be beach when I'm in the neighborhood :)

If it's this good near closing time, it must be incredible earlier in the day.

I'm not from this area and was wanting pizza at about 9:30 PM. Checked local Yelp reviews and saw Roccos. It was well reviewed, and I decided to give it a try. Called, answered promptly, was helpful answering a few questions I had and I ordered a 14" pepperoni, sausage, extra sauce. I arrived about 20 minutes later, before closing, and I really liked that this was a neighborhood shop. When I went in, the staff (who seemed to be family, as far as I could tell), was welcoming and that was nice as well. I asked for some red pepper flakes, and they were happy to oblige. As a twenty something kid rang me out, what seemed to be the owner (I really don't know), asked me if I wanted some plates to go as well. The owner kind of punched me in the arm in a friendly way, and said, hey anything else we can do for ya? I said, yes, do you have a fork and a knife? He said, "I'll give you some real ones if you bring them back!" That was funny! Fact is, the pizza was so good, I'd definitely bring them back, but I probably wouldn't get them through security at the airport. I only was there for a few minutes, but if this is how they treat their customers, they must be really successful and run a great business. Other places could learn a lot from Rocco's. Oh yeah - the PIZZA! It was amazing. Sweet sausage, pepperoni and just a little extra sauce, just how I like it. NY Style (can I say that in NJ??). Five stars gents. Thanks for everything. The pizza was great and I'll be back next time I'm in town!

I absolutely LOVE this pizzeria! Rocco's Customer Service is amazing & extremely accommodating, the interior is quaint, bright & clean... oh & the food! Can we talk about the food!? To say it's delicious would be an understatement as I cannot wait to eat my way through the entire menu!!!

We had a craving for pizza and this definitely hit the spot. The staff were so welcoming and quick with getting our order. They were really busy but still made a point to say hi and bye to everyone. Pictures speak for themselves but the food was delicious too!

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!

We ordered bone-in buffalo wings, chicken Alfredo gnocchi, garlic bread, and my bestie got a personal vodka pizza with sausage. The food honestly did not disappoint, everything was flavorful, hot, and worth the wait. That said, the service was definitely on the slower side. Our waitress was very nice and polite, but things took a while overall. Even after the place started to clear out halfway through our meal, the pace didn't really pick up. We also waited at least 15 minutes just to get the check, which was a bit frustrating. One thing that stood out (not in the best way) was seeing a staff member wiping crumbs and debris straight onto the floor while cleaning tables, which wasn't the most pleasant to watch while eating. Overall, the atmosphere was really nice and the food was great, but the slow service and a few cleanliness issues kept it from being a full 5 stars. I'd still come back... just maybe not when it's super busy.

It was definitely busy when I went; the place was packed and the parking lot was full, which says a lot about its popularity. If you're hungry and need something fast, this is a solid option. The pizza itself was good and hit the spot, though it's not somewhere I'd necessarily go out of my way for. One thing that did bother me was the food handling. The same employee who took my payment also put my pizza in the oven, and I didn't see any gloves being used. Under normal circumstances I would have said something, but I was short on time and very hungry. Still, it's something that shouldn't be overlooked. Overall, it's a convenient place to grab a quick bite, and I might return if I'm in the area, but the hygiene practices could definitely be improved.
