    Chicken "Cesar" Wrap
    Kassie C.

Have ordered from Luna many times but this is my last. Was told 30 mins, went to pick up after 30 mins... waited an extra 20 mins and would you believe it that both the wraps we ordered were cold.. hmm how does that happen. Idk, but then we get home and the chicken "Caesar" wrap was lacking the Caesar dressing so instead we got a half ass grilled chicken with lettuce thrown inside a wheat wrap that I could have just made at home for free.. thanks for nothing

a pizza in a cardboard box

This was my first time trying this place, and I definitely won't be coming back. First of all, the hours are inconsistent across their website and on their window outside. When we called at 9:45, we asked what time they were open in order to confirm before placing an order. We were told "well we're open now but we're only doing pizza for pickup". When we apologized for ordering late as they were clearly closing an hour earlier than their website suggests we were told the counter girls had to catch a specific train to Staten Island and that's why they were closing the entire business an hour early...perhaps it's time to find people that can work your actual business hours if you have to close early for the counter workers. Both the margherita and regular cheese pizzas were extremely soggy and messy (see picture) for what it's worth the guy we spoke to was nice but the pizza we received didn't show that any care was put into it. Besides the terrible presentation, the sauce tastes like it's from a jar and the cheese was an odd blend, not terrible but weird? Overall a bad experience from the moment I called to when the pizza hit my tongue. Steer clear and try Karly's down the street if you want a solid pie in Colonia, You'll thank me later.

    Tiny garlic knots

Three sandwiches, garlic knots, and $30 later, so disappointing. The chicken and eggplant parm sandwiches had nearly no sauce. My eggplant wasnt even breaded. Just soggy bread and oily eggplant. AND it took nearly an HOUR to be ready. (50 min) for a pick up order. The old owners never disappointed. This is the second time we order and hate the food since beginning of the year. Colonia Pizza on Inman is the way to go from now on.

Frequently late and always rude staff. Decent food. As a regular customer and delivery app driver it is an unpleasant experience recently.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the place is always clean which makes the experience even better. My favorite is their margherita pizza -- it's perfectly cheesy with just the right amount of sauce. I also love that the crust is thin and holds up nicely with no flop. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great slice!

Reconfirmed with my daughter that ordered "The Lucky Seven Sub." which she confirmed I did say it. Anyhow, the quality of the sub my chicken cheesesteak was nothing like Philadelphia chicken cheesesteak. Taste was bland had to add salt and pepper to give it flavoring. As for my daughters sub (Lucky Seven) it comes with grilled chicken. I've never seen grilled chicken so difficult when she bit into it. It was like fake grilled chicken not the real chicken it was like school cafeteria cheap chicken. A piece of frozen chicken defrosted in the microwave. Was hoping it would be chicken when you bite into it just melts in your mouth. Not the case for this place. Dining area was very clean bathroom needed cleaning. I went there and it looked nasty. For the price I paid for lunch and this is lunch no specials you are being charged extra if using your credit card, If you do not use cash on top of that I tipped. Honestly, It was not worth the money that was paid for the quality. But hands-down to the dessert which was cannoli that was the best thing throughout anything else.

After waiting an hour, the order finally arrived... but the sandwich was missing two of the main ingredients. No ham, no salami, even though I was charged for them. When I called, the manager offered either $5 off or to deliver the missing meat (which "could take a while"). I've been a loyal customer of Oakwood Pizza for years, but over the past year, I've noticed a decline in both quality and customer service. Calls are now answered with just a "hello," without even identifying the business. The last time we ordered, the wings were overcooked and dry, and now this. It's disheartening to see a local restaurant, one that's been part of our community for so long lose sight of what made people support them in the first place: great food and genuine service. As local businesses struggle to stay open, I truly hoped Oakwood Pizza would rise to the occasion, not fall behind. Sadly, after this experience and the rudeness shown today, I can no longer support this establishment. I always try to root for small businesses, but respect and care for customers should never be optional.

Service was tied with the food for first place! Starting with the friendly and helpful hostess, every single employee offered a greeting and a smile. Our server was Elijah, he was wonderful! Warm, friendly and professional. He was attentive and perceptive. He didn't hover but anytime we needed he re-appeared. We were greeted by two out of the three managers, 10 out of 10. Now for the food! We ordered the rice balls, maple wings a Pepper pig pizza and for my cocktail I had the blue Hawaiian. Every thing was delicious hot and freshly made. The outside and inside are visually appealing. I would describe it as modern meets industrial with a nice dose or rustic, very nice.

Impressive discounts on food and beverages....next time! It wasn't busy so I was quickly seated. Fresh house made sourdough bread was delivered and delicious. The red sangria was a yummy blend and was a nice touch with my vegan pie. I ordered the pizza sans cheese and really enjoyed the eggplant, garlic, basil toppings. The house salad was a nice size and the fried onion topping added a flavorful crunch. I didn't care for the dressing though. Service was prompt and friendly, my water glass was never empty. Deducted a star as my cocktail, salad , and pizza all arrived at the same time which is a pet peeve. The server took the salad back but it was not refrigerated so she redelivery a room temp salad, blah. Sweet server just needs more training on timing. Or maybe that is the norm there. Next time, I will order 1 step at a time to avoid that issue. Private parking with an upper and lower area which was a bit confusing, will know for my next visit. Bread was so good that I purchased a loaf to bring home for my hubby in Atlanta!

And surprisingly, this happened to be a very well known restaurant as our other coworkers knew about it! It's located across of CubaNu Restaurant & Lounge on the corner of Lewis St and Main St in downtown Rahway. There's paid street parking and parking garages around the area. My coworker and I shared their Calamari Al Forno, tossed with Italian sausage, hot cherry pepper, and balsamic glaze. And wow. Who would have thought balsamic glaze with calamari would be sooooo good! I'll definitely be ordering that combination again. The mix with the Italian sausage and cherry peppers added a nice kick to the dish. Both of us could not stop eating it even though we wanted to save room for our pastas. Our meal was off to a great start! I ordered their Linguini de Mar which was supposed to have four seafoods: shrimp, calamari, mussels, and clams. Unfortunately, mine was missing the calamari. However, the pasta was incredibly flavorful and the seafood was cooked perfectly - not overdone or underdone at all. YUM! My coworker got their Cheese Ravioli with the Bolognese sauce (unsure if it was extra as I didn't see the check). She loved her pasta as well! She's usually a light eater, but she devoured half the calamari appetizer and all of her pasta, which speaks volumes about how much she enjoyed the meal. I felt that the one downside was the unusual amount of water I drank (maybe ten cups?). This was my own personal indicator that there was definitely some sort of flavor enhancer which wasn't a negative thing. I'm not certain, but the food was very good, so kudos to them if that's the case. Overall, definitely a hidden gem! We unfortunately didn't try their pizzas/pies but this will definitely be on my list again the next time I visit. Or I may opt in for another round of calamari al forno and pasta again, haha!
