Never open on time. It's been many consecutive weeks that we wait until around 10 a.m. to call to see if they are open on a Sunday, which they are supposed to be open by 8. I drive from Harrisburg just to get these Burritos. The staff is very nice, the food is well worth the expense, and they have so many different selections of hot sauces, including the coveted Black Label, made with Ghost Peppers. Not for the weak of heart, but not many places offer such intense sauces. There is a free-to-play Dr. Mario arcade machine, the soda machine has custom drawings, and even the bathroom is decorated. Very small selection: quesadillas and burritos. They charge for chips. Bland, tasteless burrito. Overpriced for the quality--tasted like fast food. Dirty table. When I asked the person who brought our food to clean it, he said "Well, customers are supposed to wipe down their own tables!" I'm fine with bussing my own table but I've never been asked to clean it myself. He said, "I'll go ahead and clean it for you." As if he's doing me a favor. When they bring the food they don't bring forks, knives or napkins and don't tell you where they are. I finally found a roll of paper towels which were almost gone and a bin for silver ware that only had metal spoons. Very useful for a burrito. When I asked for one, I was handed a plastic fork. The volume of the music kept going up throughout our meal until we could barely hear each other. I sure hope this place goes out of business soon. read more

I'm kind of amazed by all the negative comments I hear about this place... not just on Yelp but from friends as well. People don't like the service... however, it IS like a fast food place... perhaps if folks had more experience with counter-service in Lancaster it wouldn't be such an oddity and considered "rude" or "distasteful" or however else folks describe it as. Or maybe if more folks in the area worked jobs like that at least once in their life. The fact is that MOST of the time, the person behind the register taking your order is ALSO making your food. They have other things they need to do. And they're not there to serve your every whim and fancy... they're there to make a paycheck so they can afford to live and I'm guessing for most of them... to go to school. With that said... the staff has always been nice to me... to the point where they notice when I don't order the same thing I always do and they don't ask the questions of "here or to go" or "what's your name" as often anymore because they already know. But this is also on the understanding that I know their job there is simply to find out what I want, take my money, and make my burrito or what-have-you... not to wine and dine me and make me feel like the entire experience was an incredible 4-star experience. The food isn't bad. It's Cali-Mex. I grew up on Tex-Mex and prefer Tex-Mex ten-fold, however they do a great job at Cali-Mex. It's a fat burrito (what they call California Mission style - note the Mission district of San Fran)... it's stuffed with beans, rice, guac, pico, your choice of meat or potato (the option of potato is not the greatest vegan option... but it's a vegan option which in and of itself is awesome), etc. The taco salad is wondrous though! Yes... the syrups in the soda machine are often not calibrated well, but I doubt many folks that work there even know anything about how to fix it. The hot sauces are great with variety to boot. The ingredients are fresh and REAL! Note the boxes of avocados, tomatoes, and everything else behind the counter... not to mention the 50lb bags of onions that often hang out in the window on the south side of Prince St. I've heard people complain that they serve pico instead of salsa... realistically... that's because they're fresh ingredients... that's hand chopped. To serve the more liquidy tex-mex style of salsa, they'd have to have at least one commercial food processor... and those run between $400-$800+... is that cost worth not having proudly fresh pico in exchange for watery tex-mex salsa (which has to sit in the fridge for at least 24hrs to get tasty and delicious)? I love the tex-mex salsa, don't get me wrong... but I love the pico too. And Pico De Gallo IS a type of salsa... they say salsa, and they give you salsa. They didn't mis-word it. Anyway... I think this is a great place to stop and grab a cheap and filling bite to eat. It's a mainstay for me... I eat here maybe once a week at least. Maybe more often. I recommend it, at least to the folks who are understanding and not expecting more than it is. read more

And the sauce- cool sour cream matched with a fresh, picante salsa and the best guacamole you've ever had. There's a meal, but it's way too messy for an on-the-go lifestyle. So they wrapped it. But they didn't wrap it in just anything. No, it's wrapped in a perfectly over-sized tortilla that holds everything close so the flavors can meld without making a mess. That is ingenuity. I know Im in disagreement with several friends on this one, but Robbuitos is the most overrated restaurant in Lancaster. from the reviews I know I don't stand alone on this. the service is as described by others. I had refused to eat there for the longest time due to some questionable business practices I was made aware of in their move to Lancaster. but too many friends are on team rob to avoid going there forever. the service is underwhelming and the burritos are amazingly boring. Very good mini burrito for the the price. They have a GREAT selection of hot sauces. They should include a "to go" container for free for their hot sauces (vs. 50 cents). I usually love Rob's. I'm in there a lot for food and it's always good. But I was really turned off by my last visit. I get that the vibe is pretty laid back and the staff are all friendly and "hipster" cool. But watching all of the employees eat constantly while one (who was also eating) was making my burrito really grossed me out. That's just a standard rule in all restaurants. Don't eat while making food and where all of the customers can see you. That's disgusting. It seems that the management is getting more and more lax with the staff and that makes me concerned about the quality of the food I'm eating. read more
