First of all I just want to say their country fried steak is trash ! The gravy tastes like a thick sour cream ..it's really gross. looks disgusting too. They took like 15 minutes to make the food as I sat in drive thru. I would have gone back to get my 9$ for this breakfast plate but I don't feel like waiting another 15-20 minutes .. Went through drive thru to pick up an order of Fries for me and my mom. The last owners were generous with the one size bag of fries they sell for $3.00 ( of course they are frozen and then deep fried). I asked a simple question and my response is rude from the person taking my order. I am hard of hearing. I could not hear her well. Maybe they are not paid enough, maybe she doesn't like her job? I do no know. When drove up to pay she goes, "$3.00". No greeting. She quietly takes my $3 and closes the window. No verbal exchange whatsoever. The people used to be more friendly and I loved buying a bag of "chips" that reminded me of when I lived in London. This is sad that I had this experience when visiting my hometown. I grew up in Baldwin Park and the name of this place has changed a handful of times over the last 33 years! My family and I ordered many things for dinner but my 2 1/2 year old and myself only ate the fries and chicken strips. My 2 1/2 year old woke up at 3am puking all over our bed. Recently discovered they sell menudo on weekends (white and red). It was the best I have had in a long time! Broth was clean and flavored just right. Perfect menu options for the whole family. Do not trust them. I used a fifty dollar bill and they processed it as a twenty dollar bill. I did not catch this since I was in a rush. I returned later to explain the situation to them but the cashier, Vanessa seemed evasive and short with me. My family and I were regulars but this has now changed. The food is decent almost feels made at home but the way they make it is gross! If your ever in drive through just look inside and see for yourself there's only one cook Poor man has to handle raw and cooked food while the cashiers avoid helping him even when there are only two cars. Yikes the staff here is dirty, they touch money and the food. They don't swipe out their gloves! When I confronted the staff they did not care and did nothing to resolve the problem. I later called to speak to the owner and his nonchalant demeanor told me that he was not interested in change, or resolving these simple training issues. I have come here quite a few times since it has become Rob's Grill. I have only ever gone through the drive thru, but it has always been a pleasant experience. We almost always get the spaghetti dinner which is awesome and has a great price. It's just like home cooked and comes with garlic bread and salad. A nice touch is that they give you real shredded parmesan cheese. Very nice! read more

I had a healthy omelette that included spinach mushrooms the white part of an egg and toast with sliced tomatoes cottage cheese a peach and raisins on top of it it tasted so delicious the staff were so welcoming and kind they had superb customer service and I love the meal which is a bonus a great place to eat when you have a large appetite read more

This is your typical mom & pop burger joint. We spent about $25 for 2 entrees. i thought that was kind of high for what we were getting. I got the steak sandwich and the wife got the carne asada burrito. She didn't even finish the burrito, and the steak sandwich was okay. I would have expected to get this meal for about $15, not $25. For that, I have to lower the star rating. I probably won't come here again unless they have some better specials. read more
