I went to the Adirondack car wash to use the self service dog wash area. When I walked in, it was…read morerelatively clean and so that was a plus. You are able to use your bank/credit card, which is how I paid for my dog wash, so, with one swipe it charges you $10 for 10 minutes. I brought my own dog shampoo therefor I cannot tell you what their shampoo is like, or whether or not I like it because I used my own. I have a chocolate lab so he was relatively easy to walk up the ramp and into the tub. There is a tether so that my dog couldn't escape while I was bathing him. The water initially was kind of cold so I was concerned about that, but it did warm up nicely after about a minute. I was able to give my chocolate lab a mediocre bath but I went over my 10 minutes, the equipment will allow you to go to 15 minutes and charge you $15 before it shuts off automatically. I guess this is a good thing in case you forgot to turn it off, you won't get charged for anything over 15 minutes. So I had to swipe my credit card a second time so that I could finish rinsing the soap out of his hair and begin to dry him with their air dryer. They do have an air dryer with a relatively long hose, but the velocity that comes out of the air dryer is at a very, very low setting. So if you have a dog with an undercoat like a Labrador retriever as I do, 15 minutes will not even get close to drying his fur. I was charged for 2- 15 minute intervals at $15 each time and came home with a pretty wet dog. I think next time I will drive the extra 20 minutes and go try a different facility and hopefully can come home with a relatively dry dog. I'd be happier with spending $30 and using my own shampoo if at least he was clean and dry.

They have outside vacuums, self-service bays, and three automated touch-free bays. Charges are $8 for basic, $10 for the 'deluxe' and $12 for the 'you don't really need that' wash. Downers are to get undercarriage washing (really the main reason you need to wash the car during salt/snow season) you have to get the $10 or $12, and like a lot of automated car washes, they're now charging extra for credit card customers now that they can, under the ruse of 'charging state sales tax' (which they have to pay on cash orders, too) but it's really because they are now allowed to chargeback customers for the credit card fees they pay but they're not honest enough to say that. For that I give them a little stink eye. That said, I thought the car wash wasn't that great. The undercarriage was not very long or with a lot of pressure, and the automated touch free system left gunk on my windows I had to spritz off afterwards, and the automated dryer was very tepid and underpowered. For the same prices I've had better automated car washes so probably won't be back unless it's a matter of convenience (as it was today).

The exterior wash was very good as usual. Tip: Happy to tip $20. for efficient and thorough cleaning of interior. Interior: It was my first time to have the interior cleaned. WOW! Three workers did a great job-- Dried exterior. Wiped inside of windows. Cleaned inside of windshield which needed it! Cleaned dashboard. Wiped down inside of doors. They did a good job on the floor mats, but the rest of the vehicle was underwhelming. The interior and exterior just didn't look like they had received the level of attention I expected. There were still areas that looked untouched, and overall the car didn't have that "freshly cleaned" appearance. I've definitely received better results for less money at other car washes. If you're coming here, I'd recommend sticking with the basic exterior wash. In my experience, paying extra for the interior cleaning and other add-ons just wasn't worth the cost. This version is firm but measured, which tends to come across as more trustworthy in reviews.

I get the signature unlimited monthly service for $49.99 but when I go through it started saying Ultimate Unlimited. The price difference isn't crazy but it adds up over the course of a year AND, there is a difference in the treatments applied to my car during the wash that I wasn't getting. If the service isn't provided at each carwash then I feel my bill should be adjusted or at least the attendants should say so prior to my wash. I definitely feel cheated. I did contact customer service prior to me cancelling , they told me that I was probably seeing what the person behind me was getting on the screen. I was well aware of that possibility but to be 100% sure I kept going for another month and change and even had times I was the only one in line and still the same, PAY ATTENTION, I'm sure I can't be the only one. The entrance and exit are collisions waiting to happen. The vacuum area is stuck in a tight spot behind the car wash, and cars entering the car wash have no clear way past the cars in the vacuum area. The funnel system into the car wash itself is the worst - there is no way to sort out which car from the two entrance lanes should go first. Why have two entrance lanes for one car wash lane? It is annoying and dangerous every time. I have seen cars get into fender venders in the car wash itself, which should be impossible. They try to cram cars through so fast they cause accidents. And, of course, they blame the customers. There are other car washes nearby. Use one of them. Avoid this place.
