My car - and by extension, me, lol - were "up **** creek without a paddle." These guys came through. They took me in on a Saturday morning, during the peak of track season with Phish playing at SPAC that night, meaning they already had a "full plate," so to speak. They worked me in with minimal delay. More importantly, the work done was excellent, and they were very courteous and professional. I'm impressed and grateful. Again, I'm out of state, so not likely to return to them, but I highly recommend them to others based on my experience.

We needed to take to the car dealer to have repaired which took 5 days due to the need to order a new plastic covering. Fortunately Boxley's paid for it (nearly costing $400). But Boxley's REFUSED to offer a refund. In addition they were unable/unwilling to get road salt out of the car. They said they would need to clean again repeatedly several times over to remove. Yet the dealer informed us it could be done in one cleaning and disputed Boxley's claim. We found out that an unsupervised teen detailed our car. It seemed that way from the terrible job. Avoid this business at all cost they don't guarantee their work! When I asked for a full refund they refused and yelled at me. Despicable customer service!

No one called ahead to give me a heads-up or reschedule -- I just arrived to locked doors. I called from the parking lot and left a message letting them know I was there for my appointment. That was over three weeks ago now, and I still haven't gotten a callback -- no apology, no explanation, nothing. I get that shops sometimes have to close unexpectedly, but a simple phone call would have saved me a wasted trip, and a follow-up afterward would have gone a long way. Instead, total silence. So I called Rowland St. and they said if I want to wait during the service, I could have an appointment in about 2 days. A few more minutes on the phone and it was set up. Also, their new building has a pleasant waiting area and pleasant, low-key staff. Have you had a jiffy oil change where they try to add on unnecessary services that you don't need? That didn't happen here. I explained what I was after, I pointed out something else I found, and I got good advice on how to resolve it. There was no upselling. Finally, I figured the service I needed would be outrageously expensive, so I researched to get a feel for what I was in for. IMHO, the final bill reflected a reasonable price for parts which I expected to be marked up obscenely. The labor, too, seemed fair for the task. In all it was a lot of money but it seemed appropriate after my worrying beforehand. I didn't expect to be saying this, but I'll probably be back for my next auto service.
