I was very pleased to work with Robinson Floors. I had a terrible foundation water loss claim that was not covered by my homeowner's policy; so repair costs were very important to me. Brad and other staff kept that issue clearly on their minds and produced a very good product for my home flooring for the whole first floor. I appreciated their help very much. Thank you. /Fred read more

I cannot say enough good things about Robinsons Floors. I had 5 rooms where I wanted to replace 18 year old builder carpet with LVP. I did my research, visited flooring companies and even got a quote from one, however I was very uncomfortable with the lack of customer service so decided to keep looking. I'm so glad I listened to my inner voice! My initial call went to voicemail and I was pleasantly surprised when William called me back a short time later. We talked about what I was looking for and he took the time to ask questions, answer questions - I never felt rushed. I decided to visit the store the following Saturday. Another surprise - at the other stores, the salesperson didn't really explain the flooring - just told me to pick out what I wanted. William took the time (even though I thought I knew what I wanted) to review the different types of flooring and pros/cons of each. Again, I never felt rushed. I was there at least an hour and was NEVER pressured to 'select one and let's get the measure scheduled'. I told him I was looking around and he was fine with that - reach out if I had any questions. I am one of those 'multiple visit, hard time making up my mind' clients but he was fine with that. I eventually selected the same flooring as with the first store and scheduled the measure. Since I had vacillated between 3 different colors, he brought all of them to the measure so I could look at them in my house against my furniture. I made a final selection and the next day, had the quote. Wow. $2000 less than the other store, which had seriously over measured some rooms! I paid the deposit and scheduled the work. The workers arrived on Monday at 9:30, introduced themselves and went over the rooms and process with me. I work from home so, while busy, I'm still able to keep tabs on what is going on. I had carpet installed 3 times over the past year and the difference between those contractors and rhem was like night and day. They were communicative, professional and displayed a true caring of the work they did. I felt like they took as much care as they would have if doing it in their own house. They moved my furniture - even heavy pieces, hung plastic sheets to reduce the amount of dust and cleaned up every day before they left. They made sure everything was right before moving on 'to the next step'. I always knew what they were doing and what was coming next. I had calls scheduled and they worked their tasks around them to reduce the background noise. They finished on Thursday afternoon and even vacuumed the stairs and upstairs open area just to catch any dust that may have settled there. I knew they would clean the areas they worked in but they went the extra mile. The next day, William came by to do a walkthrough with me, making sure I was fully satisfied. About two weeks later he called just to check in, be sure everything was still good. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new floors. I had saved a long time for them (yes, they offer financing but I wanted to pay cash) and when you save 10k and then use it for something, you really want that something to be perfect. Especially when it's something you see every day. Working with Robinsons Floors was, well, we'd have to come up with a whole new word to describe how great an experience it was. No sales pressure, happy to inform, great product, workers who clearly take pride in their work - what more can we ask?? I will be having additional LVP installed and would not call anybody else. I can HIGHLY recommend them to my best and closest friends. They wouldn't be disappointed. read more

Robinson Floors - My flooring - Robinsons Floors - Flooring Near Me - Frisco, Texas

Working with robinson floors wasn't a very positive experience for us. We chose them because of their glowing reviews and because Alex was so personable. I can't for the life of me understand why our experience was so different from all these other reviewers. In the beginning, they were great to deal with- until there were problems. I wont cover all the details here because there were just too many issues, but the 2 biggest frustrations were (a) the damage they left on our home and (b) the way they installed the floors. Our house is a new build and we hadnt moved in yet. All the appliances were new in pristine condition but after the first phase of our project we came home to find our fridge totally scratched up and our wood floors had scratches and gashes. In addition, their crew dumped leftover cement floating material into our yard. We were literally pulling chunks of cement up from our yard which has a french drain system. In addition we had them do our kitchen backsplash and we found probably 12 to 15 large pieces of cut tile in our yard too. Regarding the floors, there are several sections of flooring that have gaps between the planks big enough to slide a penny. In one section they used 25 to 30 really short 12inch pieces all clustered together which we were really unhappy with. Also, on the transition from the wood to tile in the laundry room, their guys cracked the corner of one of our tiles. They put caulking over the crack to disguise it. I've included some pics of their work. The pics of our fridge damage are in the photos section due to the 10 photo limit on this review. From our experience, if you want an average crew that can simply lay down flooring these are your guys. But if you need a crew that can skillfully and masterfully lace in wood flooring and show attention to detail and aesthetics (without damaging your home or property), I'd go somewhere else. read more

Robinson Floors was the first company we called after a water leak and we are so thankful we did! we immediately found very very similar floors in their showroom and felt their prices were very fair. William was extremely helpful through the whole process of picking out flooring, coming out and taking measurements, scheduling and closely following the renovation process. He was always quick to answer questions and return phone calls. The crew who did the demo and install were very kind and efficient, finishing one day earlier than planned. Robinson Floors helped make a chaotic renovation a positive experience! We would choose them again and recommend them to everyone! read more

Based on the reviews, I hired Robinson Floors to repair our floors from a dishwasher leak and then re-finish the whole floor. A month or so after the job was finished, we have cupping in one small section that they replaced. Andy came out and will not correct the problem. We have had nail down hardwood in that spot for 5 years and have had no issues with cupping. Now he is saying it is not the installation, but the house itself or anything but his responsibility. We have been patient and tried to give him the opportunity to correct the problem. To no avail. Now I get to spend $$$$ to fix their failed installation. Robinson Floors does not stand behind their work! read more

Absolutely LOVED working with Alex at Robinson Floors. We were new homebuyers and a few weeks away from our first baby... so were a little overwhelmed. But he made the process SO easy. The pricing was completely reasonable and customer service was 100% spot on. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Installation was easy, quick, and flawless - our floors look amazing. Such high quality. Cannot recommend Robinson Floors (and Alex) enough. I'd give 6 stars if I could. read more

We tried to use these guys for a fairly sizable job and met with nothing but problems. Among other things, they didn't order enough wood. They forgot to remove subfloor in area with water damage. Their installation guy wasn't putting down a proper vapor barrier which we only discovered when he abruptly left the barely started job in anger after my wife showed him a photo his boss had asked for showing spattering of tar from the demolition part of the job. Of course claimed they'd never had anything like this before and while other reviews are generally good, I would surely watch them like a hawk if you choose to use them. read more

We used Robinson Floors for our floors and they were awesome! They replaced 1700 square feet of damaged floors from water. They did my Moms house 5 years ago, and I knew back then I'd use them if we ever needed to redo our floors. Her experience was great, and ours was exactly the same. Alex is fantastic! We worked with him on my Moms floors 5 years ago, and he's still here and was great to work with again. He is friendly, incredibly responsive and super knowledgeable. He said it would take a week, and it took exactly a week. There were no surprises and he was available for any questions. His crew was friendly and efficient. We would definitely recommend them and use them again if we ever needed to. Great experience! read more

I called this firm based upon the yelp reviews. They showed up to provide an estimate to scrape and stain the wood floor in our formal living area. So not only were they 25% more than any other quotation- they demanded full payment up front on a $1300 job. After having two other companies not show up after paying a small deposit, I refused to prepay for the work. I agreed to pay in full the day they would do the job, but that was not good enough. My recommendation is don't waste your time with this company. Kinda shady... read more

I strongly recommend that anyone having to replace their flooring use Robinson flooring. They do exceptional work, have great prices and the owner is upfront, honest, and a person of high integrity and character. I recently moved to Texas and bought a new builder spec home that had engineered wood floors installed in the main living areas. As we have dogs we decided to extend that same flooring into our bedrooms and remove all of the carpeting. I contacted 6 different flooring companies and after meeting with 4 of them I decided to use Robinson Floors. I chose Robinson floors based primarily on the knowledge, integrity and outstanding character of its owner Andy Robinson, as well as their very fair and competitive pricing. Andy listened to what I wanted to accomplish, walked me through the entire process and gave me great advice along the entire journey. He was completely honest and upfront with me, and was able to commit to our tight time frames. I have built 8 homes in the past 3 years as a construction supervisor and have put in 3 wood floors in my own homes. As such I deal with many contractors, and can tell you Andy Robinson is one of the best I have had the pleasure of working with. I made a decision a few years ago to hire contractors based on character and integrity. I am so glad that I used that same criteria to hire Robinson Floors as sometimes problems do arise and that is when it is vitally important you have a contractor that will fully support you. Since we moved into our home we have started to notice issues with our flooring peeling a flacking off. Since the flooring was installed by both the builder and Robinson Floors the problem was most likely a manufacturing defect. I contacted the builder and they asked me to put tape by each defect on the floor. When they came to my home and saw how much tape was on the floor they said they would have to send out the manufacturer to look at the floor. When I asked what the outcome would be they told me that the manufacture would simply touch up the floor and only replace the planks where the finish had completely peeled off. They said there was nothing more they could do. I then called Andy Robinson and he told me that floor was delaminating, apologized profusely for the issues (even though they had nothing to do with the installation) and then proceeded to put me in touch with who he felt was the "best" certified flooring inspector from the National Wood Flooring Association. Buddy, the inspector came out to our home today and told us that the floor needs to be completely removed and replaced due to a manufacturing defect. He is writing a full inspection report and will be assisting us in getting the manufacturer to abide by his recommendation and honoring their warranty. Had I not used Robinson floors I would be stuck with a defect floor that I would have eventually had to replace at my cost of $18,000 - $20,000. read more

Robinson Floors just installed wood flooring in one large room of our 13 year old home. Justin Weaver, the project manager thoroughly explained the mind-numbing variety of materials and answered all our questions. We liked the low maintenance and beauty of engineered wood but chose 3.25-inch Red Oak No. 1 because it's installed in most of the homes in our neighborhood. Justin also was available instantly by phone every time I had a question. With the help from an on-site technician, we developed a coffee stain that matched our staircase and looked much like our century old hutch and buffet, our 50 year old dining room furniture and a half-dozen Hooker bookcases. Overall, it was a quick and pleasant experience and I won't hesitate to do it again. read more

They changed our carpet floor with laminate floor. They did terrific job. They are fast to response and finished our house work 1 day before the given time. Matt is very helpful. They have wide range of selection in hardwood, laminate and tiles. I am very impressed with their final work in my home. Definitely recommend. read more

Robinson Floors is AMAZING! The are extremely professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and respectful. They delivered a beautiful product (hardwood floors throughout the house) within the deadline. Their showroom has a large collection and helpful workers. Alex was with us from day one till the end, giving us his honest opinion in selecting the best product. He is a professional in his field, and a very nice and honest man. I will definitely go back to Robinson Floors for my next project. read more

We are so happy with the flooring we had installed by Robinson. We had them install luxury vinyl plank throughout the entire house. We got estimates from a couple of other companies, but ultimately decided on Robinson because 1) Their pricing was the best 2) They were upfront about all the costs and sent us a clear defined estimate 3) Were very knowledgeable about the process, brands, etc. We worked closely with Alex throughout the process. He couldn't have been more patient and helpful. He was always very responsive with any questions we had. It took us a while to decide on a final color and he was very accommodating, letting us bring various samples home. He really put us at ease through the whole process. The crew that came out to do the work was respectful of the house and did a really nice job with the flooring. We're very happy with our decision to go with Robinson. read more

In August 2019 Robinson Floors installed vinyl planks in some rooms and carpet in others. The carpet is beautiful, soft and installed correctly. The vinyl planks however are horrible. They look ok but every step feels and sounds horrible. It feels like paper and sounds like crushing sand underneath. I would not select this company. There are others out there. Keep looking. read more

If I could write a 10 star review, this company deserves it! After searching for months to find the right flooring, carpet and tile, Andy Robinson helped me make my decision in a matter of minutes! Everything came together beautifully! Such a relief!! Every installation went perfectly and on time as scheduled. I was made aware of every appointment before hand and then there was followup to make sure it was completed to my satisfaction. Excellent products and service! Applause to Andy and AJ, his assistant! I couldn't be happier!!! Thank you Andy and AJ!! read more

We recently moved to Texas and into our new home. Immediately, we knew there were some instant changes we wanted to do to the house - one of them being flooring. We had a tile entrance way and tons of carpet. We knew we wanted laminate (since it's most durable with our pup) but, being new to the area and not having a community to ask for recommendations, we took to the internet. Good reviews (like the one I am writing) were what led us to Robinson Floors, and I hope my review can help others make their decision. We are EXTREMELY grateful that we found Robinson Floors! Firstly, I have to talk about the level of customer care you receive with this business. I don't know if I have ever been so cared for by a company. Even before we signed our contract, Arlene took us under her wing and was a wonderful guiding force. She not only helped us with making our flooring and back splash decisions, she also provided recommendations for other amazing vendors to use for other work we wanted done to our house. And EVERY vendor she referred was more than amazing - just like Robinson Floors! (I have so many positive reviews to write.) To be completely honest, her high-level of customer service is what sold the deal for us. We did receive a lower quote (but not by much) from another business but we didn't feel comfortable or as cared for like we did with Robinson Floors. We knew that our home would be in good hands - and it was! In just TWO days, our tile and carpet were ripped up and replaced with beautiful laminate and new base boards. I couldn't believe how fast they worked. The team who installed the floors was led by Paco, who was courteous and respectful - all the guys were! What I think was most refreshing about this team was the fact that they were having fun while they worked. They seemed like a tight group who enjoyed their craft and spending their work days together. It created a warm work environment in my home which I thoroughly enjoyed. In addition to new laminate floors, we also got new tile in our utility room and added subway tile to our back splash in the kitchen. We did this about a week earlier than our floors. We were in a pinch and needed the back splash done as soon as possible. Arlene, the miracle worker that she is, worked around our schedule and was able to find an early install appointment. The two guys were diligent and efficient, and their work instantly improved the look of our utility room and kitchen. Overall, we are overly pleased by the work we received from Robinson Floors. If we decide we need to do any more flooring in the house, we will DEFINITELY use them again. We highly recommend them for your flooring needs. You won't be disappointed. P.S. The best bonus of working with Robinson Floors is Rooney. If you're lucky enough, upon entering the store, you will be welcomed by the friendliest and happiest pup. We definitely enjoyed going into the store and seeing him. read more

We used Robinson Floors last year to replace our carpet and tile floors with engineered wood floors. Alex was fabulous to work with and brought samples of our top choices to our home so we could confirm our selection with our cabinets and paint. Their installation team was so professional and did a fabulous job. The floors are just beautiful and are now my favorite part of our home! read more

I don't normally write reviews online but I felt like I must write this review because of the exceptional and outstanding services from Robinson Floors. I wrote the same review on Google and I felt like I need to spread the words to more people. My wife and I were looking to replace our house's first floor and the stairs with hardwood. We looked at several different places before decided to go with Andy at Robinson Floors. We went to the store because there were a lot of good reviews online. Andy was very friendly and knowledgeable. His dog Rooney was very adorable. Andy explained everything to us step by step. I did some research about hardwood floor before going to the stores. However, Andy's knowledge blew me out of the water. I learned so much more about hardwood floor just by talking to him. Andy told us that he wanted to educate us about the hardwood floors, even if we decided to go somewhere else. He doesn't want us to be scammed by other places or the so called "Independent Contractors". At that point, I knew that Andy was the right man for the job. The price is reasonable. You'll get what you paid for. I have friends that went to other cheaper places but the results were disappointed. Andy showed us everything from the beginning to the end. He also showed us a lot of different options including solid wood, engineer wood and tiles look like wood. He educated us about the pros and cons of each option. He never pitched a sale or pressured us into buying anything. He was straightforward with us. The project was right on time from the start to finish. The crew that worked on our house was Hector, Jose, Edwin and some other guys that I can't remember. The crew performed an outstanding job. They did their best to keep my house clean during the installation. I had the white oak, 5 inches plank, number 1 selected hardwood on our floors. We went with the natural stains color. The finished looks amazing. Both my wife and I were very happy with the work of Andy and his crew. Andy was also very responsive to feedback. He would send the crew back to fix anything that I you didn't like. Andy did a very good job at the stairs. My stairs look gorgeous now. Hopefully he will take a picture of my stairs and post on his website for example. Overall, I am very happy with the service. I would highly recommend Robinson Floors to anyone who is looking for wood floor. We will definitely come back to Andy to have him install the hardwood floor on our second floor. Don't go anywhere else. This is the place. You will not be disappointed. I am glad that I chose Robinson Floors. read more

I don't normally take time to write an online review about a company, but in this case I definitely wanted to. Robinson Floors installed new carpet in our bedroom in May 2014 and when it came time to consider doing something in our living room, they were the first company we thought of. Both Andy and Arlene are very professional and customer service minded. Arlene was very patient with my husband and me as we changed our minds about whether to install carpet, tile or hardwoods (yes, they do all three!). We finally decided to go with the engineered hardwoods and couldn't be happier. Arlene is very knowledgeable about the different choices of flooring and great to work with. She brings with her a female perspective and helped make the buying decision much more pleasant. If you're considering new flooring, please contact Robinson Floors first. You won't be sorry. Oh, and tell 'em Deb referred you! read more

I came across Robinson Floors by accident. I used another floor company for laminate hardwoods last year. I always get 3 quotes and Andy's quote was the lowest by far. He worked around our schedule and completed the engineered hardwood job on schedule. One adjustment needed to be made where the hardwoods transitioned to the bedroom carpets and the crew did an excellent job with that. I just wish that all flooring companies would throw in the first 2 or 3 floats at no charge. I would recommend Robinson Floors to all my friends. read more

We needed to replace the carpet as they were old. We looked around at a few places but Robinson floors was fair priced. I had round 2500 plus sqft. of wood installed. Overall I am happy with the job done. The finished work turned out to be neat and good looking. I would gladly recommend Robinson floors to my friends. read more

We bought a new house and need to redo our wood floor, AJ showed up at our new house for the estimate. He is very knowledgeable with wood flooring, explained in very detail on what we should expect and what will be done to the floor step by step until we are fully understand and ready to make decision. Their price are also very reasonable compare to others and the quality of wood is great like other competitors. We want to thank him to helping us decide on our new hardwood floor!! read more

I highly recommend Robinson Floors. I replaced carpet with hardwood on my stairs and in the master bedroom and had the rest of first floor hardwood sanded and re-stained. All of the Robinson people who worked on the project were expert in their field, professional and extremely courteous. The Project Manager, AJ, was wonderful, helping every step of the way. The finished product looks great! read more

Robinson Floors did a timely install. The installers were respectful and hard working. We replaced carpet in 3 rooms with vinyl plank. There were a few hiccups, like we were told not all furniture had to be moved, but it did. The transition pieces between vinyl and tile look like contact paper and we had asked to see it, but was told it was not available to see prior to installation. While the over all look of the Coretec Vinyl plank is nice, it does feel like you are walking on the cement underneath. Lastly, since the product is water proof, you would think it could go anywhere in the house, but after install, Coretec said you cannot put a rubber backed bath mat or area rug on the floor. Wow - wish we had been advised of that when picking out the product. read more

My wife and I had been looking for someone to do our floors since we moved in 6mo ago. We shopped around quite a bit and we decided to go with Andy and his crew. We couldn't have made a better choice. As we went through the process of finding the right flooring company we realize that the quotes varied widely in estimated square footage, pricing of the material and cost per square foot for installation. Some companies even fail to talk about additional costs like bags needed to level the surface once the old floors are demo'ed. In our initial meeting with him he was very personable and straight forward with what the renovation would entail. Both my wife and I have busy schedules and in our experience not a lot of company owners come late in the evening personally to talk about our project options. What I appreciated more about him however was his honesty when asked certain questions about additional costs, time frame of renovation and details of how the project would be performed. Other companies would send sales representatives that quite honestly did not know anything about the actual process of changing the floors in a house. Now that the work is done some their answers to the same questions we pose Andy were completely off demonstrating the lack of knowledge they actually have of the product and the process they are selling. In other words, what Andy told us would happen from start to finish was exactly how it happened and that is a refreshing thing to see in the contractor and home renovation business. His crew were incredible. Fast and efficient at the same time without compromising on the quality of work. Andy said our floors would be done in 4 days and they were done in 4 days. Furniture was moved and put in place and they left the house as clean as possible after they left. In other words, professional. I did not get their names but Andy, if you read this, give them an extra something something because they were awesome (and its Christmas). So if you have skipped most of this review and are looking for the concise version here it goes: Robinson Floors have competitive prices on their product and work, Andy is very knowledgeable and upfront and he follows through on the expectations created in your initial visit with him. The quality of their work and how they do it is one of the best I have seen. Thank you Andy and crew for your professionalism and good work. read more

I would highly recommend Robinson Floors and their Sales/Project Manager AJ. We put new wood floors in 3 carpeted Bedrooms and stripped and refinished the wood floors on our entire 1st Floor. The original floors were very dark, almost black and heavily hand scraped. They looked awful and darkened the entire house. We wanted them smoothed out as much as possible and then lightened to an almost natural color. AJ made that happen. AJ was very professional from start to finish. He helped us pick out the new floors, he met us on site with the samples to review, he made sure the product that went in was what we ordered. There was an issue with the color of the floors that arrived from the supplier not matching the sample we had seen. AJ sent back the product and found us another product that matched the original and he still managed to finish the install on time. The refinished floors were stripped of almost all the original black, which went deep in some places and 9 color options were stained into the raw wood for us to choose from. The results were dramatic; much lighter more natural looking floors. AJ followed up after to make sure everything was done to our satisfaction. We're considering replacing some carpet soon and we'll definitely use Robinson Floors for that project as well. read more
