Ravenstone is absolutely gorgeous inside, with the friendliest, most knowledgeable staff. It's an oasis in downtown Lynn. And it's bigger than I expected, with the main shop on the first floor and then an upstairs area selling books, a room for magick items, and space for readings. The first floor has an impressive array of crystals/gemstones, candles, jewelry, beauty, bath and body items, and more. The candle collection is lovely and picked up an exquisite vetiver and tonka candle. I also bought the most perfect piece of amethyst. She asked me how many I needed and I told her I would need four. I explained that I lived an hour away and she stated she would hold them for me, asking me for my name. I drove an hour with my children (one of whom is profoundly disabled). My son was super excited, but when we got there the two girls said they just started their shift and could not find the items. They texted a group chat and told us that the girls who were on the shift before them were new hires. They stated one of them replied "maybe" when asked if they spoke with me. I showed her my call log and the girls apologized. My son ended up sick from car ride / anxiety over the situation, vomiting at the exit and we quickly had to leave. I did reach out to the store owner. She claimed she was out of town and would call me back the following day. Days later I never heard from her so I followed up in email. Instead of being apologetic for the situation and not calling me back she proceeded to shift blame and gaslight me. She said they would never agree to hold and that I should "plan ahead". I don't recommend a store whose owner does not value their customers. I am deeply disappointed in her response to what happened.

What was meant by that comment is that you give the unsatisfied customers more credibility because of the harsh reply, it makes you look like the bad guy. If you read Help For Business Owners, Yelp gives some practical suggestions to help Business Owners to respond to negative reviews in a tactful way that helps defuse situations such as this one, instead of being threatening. I mean I wouldn't want you to get sued in return, Yelpers are well protected by the 1st Amendment and Anti- slapp legislation. I amended my review and took out the words that offended you because I am a reasonable person. I do not wish anything bad upon you. I am just expressing my opinion, feelings and telling my experience. I hope your business continues to do well and that you learn from experiences such as the one that I had and improve the customer service you give to your con-signers.
