I, my wife and our daughter have used the Reading, MA Paper Store for years, for cards and gifts…read more Today I went in for a card, and saw a rack with "warning" papers covering some of the items. When I looked behind the papers, they were oven mitts, dish towels and socks with illustrations and text; the text on many used words including "f**k", "sh*t", "b*tch", "motherf**ker". Not all of the items with those words were behind the papers. The intent seemed to be messages of "strong woman", "girl power", etc. Great way to send a message. (After I post this I'll see if I can post some photos I took.) A clerk came up and tried to be humorous. She"Are you old enough to look at those?" Me"Yes, but a substantial number of your customers aren't." She"[We're careful with them.]" Me"No, you're not." She simply turned and walked away. I needed the card, or I'd have left then, so I bought it and left. I might give such an item to my wife or a friend as a gag gift, but such items should not be easily accessible to kids and even teens (the rack full of items extended from the floor to about 5 feet high). Further, such coarse language should not be casually presented as being normal and acceptable where kids-teens can see it. I'm an adult and I know when and where I can use such language, and when and where I should not use it. I Googled "Paper Store reviews" before writing this, and posts by employees suggested that much of Paper Store's upper- to store-level management seems to lack good judgement.

Lori worked with me to get the look that I wanted within my budget. My party was in NH. The flowers transported well and set up perfect. They lasted all day and into the following weeks. Many people who took some home complimented me on their staying power! They helped make the perfect day. The 2nd time I used her was for my business. I went in with a loose idea of what I wanted. More of just a palate of colors. She came up with some very creative ideas to fit my palate. They flowers were fresh and just what I was looking for. They not only fit the event perfectly but I got many compliments on how it dressed up my booth and tied everything together. They were delivered on time and I could not have asked for anything more. I plan on using Affairs to Remember again for both business and personal reasons!

The very kind and empathetic floral designer (I've forgotten his name) helped me confirm a floral planter was the perfect choice. Phone engagement was quick but all questions were answered completely and patiently. The designer was spot-on when he told me the plants they had were good sized and healthy. I thought I wanted a 12" planter but they had 10" or 14". He suggested that the 10" planter would be fine, which I appreciated. However, it was folk a few of us so I went with the 14".. I thought delivery fee was a bit higher than I've paid in the past, BUT they delivered the planters on the same day, exceeding my expectations! The planter is gorgeous and plants look super healthy for a lasting gift. Worth it! I'd say great value!

Amy went above and beyond to make sure they were! While delivering the bouquet Amy called me and talked through where they could be safely left on the back porch and sent a photo confirming it was the right location. The flowers were absolutely beautiful (I got the florist's choice, which I am often hesitant of due to a bad experience in the past) and my friend was thrilled with them! She kept sending pictures in the following days and they seemed to get more beautiful! Thank you so much Amy, I will order from you anytime I need flowers in the areas you cover!

The store has lots of little stones and gems and smudge sticks and other little items that you could gift. The service was great, and very friendly. They packed the flowers up nice and safely for our quick car ride. I'd never noticed the storefront before but now it's on my radar I won't forget it's a good option when in need of a host gift or similar occasion to Mother's Day.
