Surprisingly I have been coming here for at least a decade and I haven't reviewed it. Perhaps in a selfish moment I didn't want to share and leave it a secret. These days it is truly hard to find a great breakfast place. Sure I got my special occasion places but I'm talking day in and out good. That's a category in itself. So while running errands yesterday with hubby my mind went blank where to go and hubby suggested this place. Since it was late morning 10:30 on a Saturday morning plenty of parking out front and tables to chose from inside. Hubby even bumped into a local he's friends with. Service is great and once we were seated our drink order was immediately taken. Lots of choices so I thought I would try something new Lox,Onions,and Scrambled Eggs with a Toasted Garlic bagel with cream cheese. I must be missing my Mom in NJ. The food arrived quickly and was served hot and delicious. The combination of my breakfast was very well balanced not too much onion or Lox. This restaurant is great it's a mix of old folks and tourist around the area. It's in a busy area, parking is limited. I ordered corn beef hash, coffee, with eggs with and rye toast. My friend ordered spinach egg whites with hash browns. She enjoyed her meal. The food was decent The only problem I encountered was when I asked for milk on the side for my coffee. There was a black hair or black thread in the milk. I ended up waiting for a while to get her attention to get a new side of milk. read more

Roberts Restaurant is exactly what a diner restaurant should be. It has really good food, large portions, and great friendly, loaded with humor, service. I had their steak, eggs and grits. All really good. The steak especially surprised me as they had taken the time to do a very nice garlic rub on it; hence full in flavor and being something most diner restaurants won't spend the extra time in doing. My server, Mary, turned out to be the epitome of what a diner waitress should be. She knew the menu inside and out, was quick about everything as well as full of good humor and wit. The restaurant is open 364 days a year, having only missed out during Hurricane Wilma. They had opened that day, but when the roof began to leak and give way, closed. The restaurant suffered a lot of damage but was soon remodeled, but though having been so recently remodeled still looks somewhat dated in appearance, especially with a 20 something year big boxy looking old Sharp television hanging from the wall. The crowd here is mostly area locals as well as being dyed in the wool faithful patrons. I'll start off by saying that I've passed this place 1000 times on a day to day basis and always thought it was a weird location so just never went in. Today I had time to kill and walked in there and was very surprised and immediately sat down at the counter. Let me just say that if the food was terrible I was still give this place a 5 star just on service. I had a server named Mary. She was incredibly nice and just made me feel good to be there. I ordered a coffee, chicken noodle, toasted corn bread and the Cuban. I almost didn't order the Cuban but Mary said it was amazing and she was right. Everything was so good! Great diner food and especially friendly servers! Not only my server filled my coffee they all did and greeted me with nice cheery smiles on Easter. This is the LOCAL mecca for delicious bagels and food!! Loved the friendly family oriented crowds and the generous well made fresh food. The servers have organized chaos and are clearly fun to watch as you wait for your food. There are no reservations, no lists for table. You literally stand in line and wait for the next table to open up, old school with respect. Everyone is polite and friendly and guide first timers to the old school style. LOVED taking my mom who enjoyed everything she ate. I had a cheesy omelette, a perfectly toasted bagel, while my husband made his own omelette and said the grits were excellent. The coffee was hot and strong, as it should be. Tables are scattered everywhere and depending on your parties number can be moved to accommodate the group. There are also counter seats for those small parties of one or two. Parking was tricky and the mall strip is awkward to find, but totally worth the trip. Food was ok at best and service was terrible. We got a table quickly, but waited 15 minutes to order and other 25 for our breakfast. Then I waited in line to pay for another 15-20 minutes as servers just walked right on by and took phone calls! When I said that I'd been waiting for at least 15 minutes to pay the lady said, "well I'm here now." I told her that I wouldn't be back (and I was not rude), she said, "ok you won't be back." So my hubby and I heard about this restaurant a few weeks ago and even though it's about 40 minutes away, we decided to try it out. We sat down and we're greeted by Tina. She was very friendly. She brought our drinks and told us some of the specials and suggested we try the Corn Bread. OMG! I don't even like Corn Bread but this was the best I've ever tasted! We asked Tina what she recommended and she was spot on! I had Eggs Benedict and my husband had the Turkey Club. Tina was very accommodating, genuine and was an attentive server always making sure we had refills and were happy. The food was great but the service was outstanding. Ok. This is basically an old-folks diner. Everything was fresh. The staff was friendly and eager to suggest. The omelette I had was actually pretty decent, but I didn't really have anything there which I would call memorable at all. The food is kind of basic and bland, but as I said fresh. They seem to cater mostly to an older clientele. My 75 year old uncle loved it. I would come back if he asks for it, otherwise, probably not. I went to this place third times now. My first experience here was great (maybe sometime 2020). But now (as of May 2021) please note that they charge 4% COVID fee and 20% tip automatically (you can not change even though my waitress was not good today). They do not explain anything about this with notification before getting your table or on the menu, so you may only know when you get your check. They also charge 5 dollars for the water as they do not serve tap water. When I look my bill today, 40% of my bill is for their service and 60% is food, and please note that the food here is not cheap too. So, you need to be aware that, in addition to the prices stated on the menu, you need to pay like additional 40% more always (and they do not explain this before taking orders). I found that this is tricky and too much asking customers given their service offering. Additionally, they usually say that outside tables are in weekends not available even though clearly there are many tables look available. I think they do not manage the tables well. Overall, food is good here but i won't go back for sometime soon as their services are not good and cost are not reasonable now. read more

Robert's is one of my friends favorite restaurants so we met up with them on Sunday afternoon to have lunch. It is tucked in to a warehouse district and the front is kind of nondescript so you might not notice it from the street. What you would notice is the line of people at the door waiting to get in. Robert's serves home style comfort food, the kind grandma would make. Roasted meats, chicken parmesan, and assorted sandwiches and melts are some of the items you will find on their extensive lunch/ dinner menu. On a previous trip I tried the Reuben which I loved. On this outing everyone was having the roasted meat plates so I wanted to try that too. My daughter and friends had the turkey which is like a complete Thanksgiving dinner, hubby had the half chicken, and I picked the roasted pork. My sliced was pork was so incredibly tender. All of the meats come sliced and smothered with gravy, piled on a mound of mashed potatoes and stuffing. We also got dishes of their cornbread and candied carrots which are more dessert than vegetable. Hubby upgraded to the deluxe dinner and added chicken noodle soup to his meal. The portions at Robert's are huge! I could only eat half of my meal and it made for a delicious lunch today. If all of that food wasn't enough my friend also ordered a salad with grilled chicken on top for us to all share. Even after we all had some there was still enough left to fill up and entire take out box. If you are looking for a good value and homey food Robert's is your place. It's close proximity to the airport makes it a convenient place for people departing and arriving on flights. If you are coming just double check the hours. The menu board inside the restaurant said they close at 3 pm and I noticed on here it says 9 pm. I am not sure if they have extended hours in the spring. In addition to the lunch we had, Robert's also serves what looks like an amazing breakfast as well. I look forward to trying it. read more

First time here, we usually go to iHop or Grampas's, first impression was the place is clean. People paid attention when you walked in, someone even brought a high chair for us without asking. Menu was extensive with breakfast and lunch items. Food was clean and looks fresh and thats also from observing other people's order. I did not see if people cooking had used their bare hands which was in someone else's review, hopefully that's not the case. It's not on the cheaper end but I think prices are comparable with iHop. We were so happy to find this place and the food was so delicious! It is very close to the airport (7ish minutes or less) and the food is really satisfying. Not an overly overwhelming or huge menu but standard and delicious breakfast food done well. It seems like a lot of locals go here and a lot of people seemed to know each other. If 2.5 was an option, that's what I would give this place. We had an omelette which was good but the biscuit and home style potatoes weren't worth the carbs. Biscuit was doughy and not light or fluffy and the potatoes didn't have much seasoning. They looked like they were going to be good but they weren't. The banana nut pancakes were awful. They were pully and chewy and the most disappointing item we ordered. We took our food to go as there's no outdoor seating and the tables were crammed together. read more
