I'm in the process of getting my yard redone bits and pieces at a time and I hired Robert to do some landscaping for a decent portion of my backyard. Him and his crew installed a new lawn, plants, irrigation and helped set up fruit trees into half whiskey barrels. Robert was on the job site about 90% of the time, which was nice. It was good to see him working alongside his crew making sure the job was done right. He had two other guys with him, they were both very nice and respectful. He also worked with me on the price and gave me the option to take care of a few things myself before he arrived on the job to help cut back on costs in order to hit closer to our target price range. Be careful with Mr. Robert and if he recommends Mr. Philip Stevens for his backyard design expertise. After getting plans done by Philip, and several $$$$ later, Mr. Robert and his complete care services failed to return after plans were done. All Robert would say, I am working on your estimate and wil get them to you next week. Three text messages later all he would say "I will get to them this week, I Promise". From 7/25/18 and last text was 8/27/18 and still waiting. FYI today is 9/30/18 and I'm done waiting Robert. We all understand about being busy Robert. Or if he really is TO busy to just say he is TO busy. I guess honesty is just too much to ask for. (Follow up)I will give Robert some credit. I called the owner to come out for a quote for a concrete car parking area and to repair an existing concrete area. He came and gave me a verbal quote but he wasn't too sure about the price. Very confusing. He refused to give me a written quote which I thought was not a proper business policy. A true professional company should provide a written quote of the job at hand; that's how some contractors get away with not completing the job. He also is not very familiar with repairing existing concrete slabs. He said he would text me the quote later that day and never did. I interviewed and got estimates for over 2 months before I met Robert for my project. He is very knowledgeable, a good communicator, and had no hidden price increases. I knew he was the right person immediately! We went over the details and the time frame of my project. His plan for how long it would take reassured me this would not be a rushed job. My project was very specific. I wanted Bermuda grass, sprinklers , and a concrete Moe strip to line the grass. The equipment he used and crew of men were very professional. They did a really good job! They prepped and treated the soil for two weeks before removing the old grass. They leveled and graded the slop to make sure there were no lumps and had proper drainage. My husband called Robert for an estimate, and he came by within a day to check our yard out. Our yard was super overgrown and messy when we first bought the house. The initial clean up was a bit pricey, but it was worth every penny. We were so happy with the clean up that we decided to hire Robert's team to regularly maintain our yard. They come every other week like clockwork and do a quick and efficient job. Best of all, they leave everything so clean! I know right away that they came by because of everything being so tidy. Your self and the Greg's auto are lying about what you offered while you were here I showed you the cars you damaged as well and you said to me you were not going to pay for any damages in fact the lady from hers auto body said you need to prove it but I introduced you to the people that were doing some paying work in the back and they witnessed your employees shooting rocks while working and they even spoke to one of your employees to be careful that the rocks were shooting right at them then I called for a quote they quoted me $350.00 then you called somewhere else where they quoted you $220.00 at that point you asked me to get it done get a receipt and you would reimburse me then I said Well let go get it done and you take care of it there and then you refused cause you had no intention of paying for it and I know that because when you left you never answered my call after that and in regards to Greg's auto claim is false! Like the lady show prove your saying is true I have pictures of all the cars you damaged and witnesses that were there the lady from Greg's auto was no there I will not be chasing you to assume your responsibility any way if you say you didn't do it then why are you offering to pay for my damages it pretty clear that you are dishonest and had no intention on paying so have a nice! I found Robert on Yelp and called him for an estimate for landscaping services, I was replacing my front yard with pavers but I also needed landscaping work (landscape rocks, remove bushes and plant new plants). Finding a gardener that does what you ask and does it well is hard to find. My husband and I found a local gardener over a year ago when we first moved to our home and his crew did a great job, as long as he was around. We noticed over time, the quality went down, and he didn't check on us much. I have had a string of bad luck with landscapers since we moved it. Looks like the trend ends here though, as Robert was awesome. First, he returned my call within a single business day and came out to give me an estimate the very next afternoon. I needed to have a pretty good amount of cleanup and sprinkler work done. He quoted me an amazing price for the work, and also stated they could do full haul away. Even further, he said they could do the work the next day. His crew showed up first thing in the AM and knocked out everything I asked for in a couple of hours. Finally showed and not a great job. I tried another project with him to plant my avocado tree. He dropped off two guys and left. I called him multiple times and never answered, nor return my call. Sprinkler controller gave out and having recently purchased the property, been wanting to have the system checked. Robert came back out, upgraded our 20 year old sprinkler controller with a smart one which allows programming and control of unit feom phone which is what I chose. Took the time to set up the controller, show me the various zones, and took the time to adjust some sprinklers to improve watering. This is way overdue review! I moved to the Groves in Whittier last year in July. Through yelp after reading all the reviews I decided to contact Robert, he immediately call me back and schedule an appointment onsite to discuss options for my backyard space. I had an idea what I was looking for and had many pictures to share with him. This is a new development and space is limited, basically had to create from scratch.
