The best (and only) speakeasy in Alpharetta! Really cool vibe entering through the alterations shop! The entry is free before certain times so be sure to check out their calendar to find that information out. Parking is also free in the downtown Alpharetta decks. The drinks are around 16$ for a cocktail but the coco loco drink was great! The band that played was the bourbon brothers and they were awesome! Mini bowling is also available here (I've never done it) but it looks awesome! Great date night vibes! Went for a comedy show. From the outside it's hard to see where this location is because the sign doesn't stand out. It is a speakeasy that holds events. I had the roaring skewers which I picked shrimp as my protein and Parmesan truffle fries. I really enjoyed the Catcall and BeeKeeper for my cocktails. My only negative thing to say was the arrangement of the seating because with the pillars in the way and the stage so low it blocks being able to see the stage, unless you are in the middle of the room. read more

The food at Roaring Social is overpriced for the quality, but there is a lot more to this place than their menu so I need to break this one down. LOCATION: Roaring Social is in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, by the Hamilton Hotel. It's a great location and there is a free parking deck a block away. VIBE: 5-stars for the decor and overall atmosphere here! It's a speakeasy, requiring you to go down a flight of stairs and give a secret passcode to get in. It's dimly lit with comfortable couches along the walls. It's got a great feel and some people really get into the theme, wearing sequins, flapper dresses, and beads. Other people were wearing more casual dresses, shirts and polos. There is a dress code, so no athletic wear, etc. FOOD & DRINKS: 3-stars for the food and drinks. They have a large cocktail menu, with some creative drinks, but they struggled to make basics on the Thursday night we were there. The espresso martini was probably the worst one I've ever had. I took one sip and had to send it back. There was no foam on top and the waiter said he didn't think they used espresso in their espresso martinis. We ordered all 3 of the skewers, chicken sliders, fries and Cesar salad. The shrimp skewers were the best. The chicken and steak ones were dry and lacked flavor. The sliders were okay, but not great and the prices overall seemed high for the mediocre quality. Fortunately, we weren't here for the food, we were here for the dueling piano performance which was amazing. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. ENTERTAINMENT: 5-stars for entertainment! They have mini-bowling, which was tons of fun. We played a round of bowling when we first arrived, before sitting down for dinner and the show. They have different shows/entertainers throughout the month, so check their website for the schedule. We saw the Dueling Pianos, and they were great!! Wow! A great time was had last night at Roaring Social! From the great bartenders, (shout out to Will) and Band X who sang 70's, 80's and 90's music, the atmosphere was amazing with strangers laughing, talking and dancing with each other like old friends. The band was a lot of fun signing oldies and bangers. The security guys will provide the password before you head downstairs to enter the speakeasy. I've been looking forward to coming here for a while and finally got to check it out. It did not disappoint! You first check in at the front counter and you need to have a passcode to get in. It's a really neat place! The food was very good and the drinks were perfectly done as well. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini and an Espresso Martini for dessert. They have a mini bowling area in the back which is a lot of fun. There's also smaller areas and rooms for private parties and events. There's a small dance floor and a dj. It is located right next to the hiltons curio hotel the Hamilton in down town Alpharetta. It is a speak easy, reservations are better then walk ups if you want to play their boutique bowling or get a table. We had a party of 10 and we bowled for an hour... small lanes, a ball like a Bocce ball for a bowling ball, pins on strings, and automatic scoring. A lounge like area to sit in with full bar service. It was fun! From there we had a lounge like area with couches and a coffee table for our eating area. The menu is all aps and "finger" food. The fries are the bomb! Like a cross between a chip and a steak fry... kaplow!! Man these were good! The meat skewers of beef or chicken were good as well. We tried the charcuterie plate... it was ok... we had the wings... I didn't get any but was told they were good. Then we had some deep fried gnocchi... these were strange... just not what I expected I guess... not horrible but not what I would order again. While we were there they had live music and karaoke. It was a really good time! The decor is swanky and fun, it gets crowded, but there is lots of room. We had an EXCEPTIONAL time here for my dear friends birthday. I flew into town to visit her and she could not stop taking about this place that she's been meaning to try. It did not disappoint! I am *obsessed* with speakeasies and the creativity that goes into the aesthetic. This is the first time that I've been to one that had an alterations theme! When you arrive, you are greeted at the host stand, given beads, champagne, and a ticket to get your clothing items downstairs. You walk down the stairs into a room full of different mannequins and fashions from the past. You pick up the phone on the wall and say you're here for your alterations and it opens up a door to your left that is the entrance to the bar. Inside, the space is so cute and 1920s! There are prohibition photos and a nice stage for the band. I let them know if was her birthday ahead of time and they brought out of a complimentary bottle of champagne!!!! Amazing The service was impeccable. Really. There was a gentleman that was super drunk hovering around our table asking us a ton of questions and within a few minutes our waiter and management came out to privately check on us and ask if we were being bothered. I was not bothered by the gentleman but just the fact that they noticed that and acted upon it immediately is really phenomenal! Why such a small dance floor? The first two times I went to Roaring Social, it was AWESOME. The place looks amazing, great live bands, dancing, just a cool vibe. But the last three times I've been there, they filled the dance floor with tables so people only have an area of about six feet by 20 feet to dance. I was there Friday night and the band was killing it. Everyone wanted to to dance. Unfortunately, they couldn't Those that tried were jammed together so all you could do was sort of shuffle two inches to the left and three inches to the right. And there weren't even people sitting in the tables that were on the dance floor. So, instead of this being a really great place to have a drink, see a band AND dance, it's really just another place (like many) to have a drink and see a band. This is a bar in a basement. Not quite a speakeasy. While it's novel to hit a button on a old phone to get in, we were expecting a larger cocktail menu. There were only 14 specialty cocktails on the menu. I ordered the float on and it was super sweet and the root beer foam made it taste almost medicinal and the syrup was all over the place. The paper straw got soggy so fast, making the drink even more cumbersome. My husband ordered a mint julep and his response was "Meh." My expectations for this place was too high. First time visiting, and called ahead to understand the process as Roaring Social is marketed as a speakeasy. What was shared over the phone varied from what we were told when attempting to gain entry. After speaking to the manager, we were able to enter even though they were booked. Glad that he accommodated us, but unfortunate that the staff member over the phone would not share the same details for entry that the manager and bouncer did. It's never good when a manager has to be contacted to assist. Both the bouncer and manager were pleasant, but the misinformation was off-putting. After heading downstairs, like you'd expect at a speakeasy, you speak into the phone or to staff member with the appropriate verbiage to enter the bar. Well welcome to the roaring 20s. The bar and wait staff are dressed circa 1920s, and so we're a few guests. The live band was great - singing well-known R&B hits from the 80s-now. The drinks were great - I had the Purple Lady and Bell Bottom, which was enough, unless I wanted to feel the effect of a third drink the next day. Although the area was packed, we found a few seats at the bar. After speaking to the hostess regarding the empty couches along the wall, we were told they were reserved. However, she told us if any tables became available (tables are first-come, first-served, and all completely occupied) she'd come get us. Not even ten minutes later, did she appear at the end of the bar to let us know she had a table, right up front near the band -- so appreciated that level of service. Ordered the meatballs, which I incorrectly assumed would be from Sorella Vicina upstairs at The Hamilton; they were not. The meatballs were hard; similar to what you'd expect if the meat was overworked during mixing. The patio and mozzarella flatbread with chicken was much better. There wasn't much room on the dance floor to dance with all the patrons who were there dancing. Not a bad thing for the band, which showed how much everyone was enjoying the music, but bad when your table is on the edge of the dance floor, and you either get bumped repeatedly or have a drink spilled on you. Now that we better understand the rules for entry, layout, etc., we'd return. It was a fun night where my husband and my friend's husband were able to enjoy the football games on the huge TVs at the bar, while also enjoying the band. read more

Upon entering, I discovered that the karaoke was with a live band which made it more unique. Everyone had a good time and there was a small dance floor in front of the stage which I utilized a couple times. I tried the poutine fries which were delicious, and I have been thinking about them ever since. The whole concept of the cleaners and needing alterations done to get in was fun. My GF ordered a Margherita so bad we had to send it back, and had an Old Fashioned that was a waste of money. The cocktails are absolutely overpriced and underwhelming, and the food is a disgrace towards the pricing. This place is a dive bar, and every review that displays it as such is 100% accurate. We waited over an hour for our food, and requested our bill be refunded based off how terrible of an experience this was for our date night. Fun place!! We stayed at the Hamilton hotel for my daughters wedding and did not even know of this place until someone across the street recommended us to go. So happy they did! We had a group of about 25 people and they sat us in their couch areas with our own server. It was karaoke night and my friend killed it! The drinks were great, the server was great, and so much fun! Roaring Social is an authentic speakeasy that has multiple specialty drinks as well as your favorite call brands. The bartenders are friendly and amazing mixologists. Surprisingly the food we ordered was very tasty for a menu of bar food (honey BBQ chicken wings and a house salad with grilled chicken). This night there was a jazz combo called J-Mood and they were absolutely fantastic. All musicians are long time artists and the lead singer Jen Carrozza has a velvety smooth voice that enhances the jazz style. Two thumbs up for this amazing experience read more
