Can't comment on the food, because I did not dine at Roaring Social, but did have several rounds while Band X kept the crowd dancing. A basement party place with a speakeasy type front-end. It was packed, but the numerous bartenders kept the drinks flowing. $10 cover early, $20 cover later. Check out their calendar here: https://www.roaringsocialalpharetta.com/calendar.aspx read more

Our server, Josie, was amazing and so kind, but the balls kept getting stuck and not returning all the way up so we would have to retrieve them halfway down the lane. Thank goodness no one was next to us and we could do that. read more

The best (and only) speakeasy in Alpharetta! Really cool vibe entering through the alterations shop! The entry is free before certain times so be sure to check out their calendar to find that information out. Parking is also free in the downtown Alpharetta decks. The drinks are around 16$ for a cocktail but the coco loco drink was great! The band that played was the bourbon brothers and they were awesome! Mini bowling is also available here (I've never done it) but it looks awesome! Great date night vibes! Servers will take your orders at tables too which is nice so you can relax and enjoy the night. read more

Went for a comedy show. From the outside it's hard to see where this location is because the sign doesn't stand out. It is a speakeasy that holds events. I had the roaring skewers which I picked shrimp as my protein and Parmesan truffle fries. I really enjoyed the Catcall and BeeKeeper for my cocktails. My only negative thing to say was the arrangement of the seating because with the pillars in the way and the stage so low it blocks being able to see the stage, unless you are in the middle of the room. read more

Omg this place is fireeee. We had such a blast at Roaring Social that we literally went back two days in a row. From karaoke to dancing all night long, the energy here is unmatched. The vibe is electric, the music keeps you moving, and every single person in our group; family and friends had the best time. It's one of those rare spots where you walk out already planning your next night here. 10/10 recommend for a fun night out! read more

Had a chance to try this spot for my bday and it was such a nice vibe of live music ,rustic touch down to the waiters attire. Such a nice speakeasy located in downtown Alpharetta takes you back to the prohibition era with a password and underground entrance. The food was subpar with little flavor. Drinks were ok but the highlight was the band which got the crowd moving. Great outing for sure. read more

Great dance scene! Great music, beautiful ladies, open late. What else is needed? Fun night out indeed.

Had the best time last night at Roaring social! The ambiance was prohibition speak easy. The live band had everyone up dancing the entire night. They have an extensive drink menu and the food were shareable light bites. Ask for the server Sincere he was a vibe! Awesome service. We will return. read more

The food at Roaring Social is overpriced for the quality, but there is a lot more to this place than their menu so I need to break this one down. LOCATION: Roaring Social is in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, by the Hamilton Hotel. It's a great location and there is a free parking deck a block away. VIBE: 5-stars for the decor and overall atmosphere here! It's a speakeasy, requiring you to go down a flight of stairs and give a secret passcode to get in. It's dimly lit with comfortable couches along the walls. It's got a great feel and some people really get into the theme, wearing sequins, flapper dresses, and beads. Other people were wearing more casual dresses, shirts and polos. There is a dress code, so no athletic wear, etc. FOOD & DRINKS: 3-stars for the food and drinks. They have a large cocktail menu, with some creative drinks, but they struggled to make basics on the Thursday night we were there. The espresso martini was probably the worst one I've ever had. I took one sip and had to send it back. There was no foam on top and the waiter said he didn't think they used espresso in their espresso martinis. We ordered all 3 of the skewers, chicken sliders, fries and Cesar salad. The shrimp skewers were the best. The chicken and steak ones were dry and lacked flavor. The sliders were okay, but not great and the prices overall seemed high for the mediocre quality. Fortunately, we weren't here for the food, we were here for the dueling piano performance which was amazing. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. ENTERTAINMENT: 5-stars for entertainment! They have mini-bowling, which was tons of fun. We played a round of bowling when we first arrived, before sitting down for dinner and the show. They have different shows/entertainers throughout the month, so check their website for the schedule. We saw the Dueling Pianos, and they were great!! They took requests, and we had a blast singing along. TLDR: Go for the entertainment! It's a lot of fun. Don't expect amazing food, but definitely expect a good time overall. read more

If you love to feel like you're part of an exclusive club or you're a fan of secret codes and want to go back in time to the prohibition days, check out Roaring Social! This is a trendy place with ambience, servers dressed in time period clothing, live music, trendy furnishings to allow you to be taken back in time. The lighting, the disco ball sparkling from the ceiling, the weekly schedule of entertainment will draw you in to make this experience one that you will want to repeat! Roaring Socials website is constantly updated to give current information on musicians performing. There is a cover charge after a certain hour but believe me it's worth it! If you have a large group call ahead and make a reservation. They have high top tables, regular tables, lounging couches for group settings and guess what, a small bowling alley! Meals, appetizers, wine, beer, mixed drinks and list of top shelf bourbons and fantastic service! Ashlan kept our drinks coming and served them with a smile! read more

Wow! A great time was had last night at Roaring Social! From the great bartenders, (shout out to Will) and Band X who sang 70's, 80's and 90's music, the atmosphere was amazing with strangers laughing, talking and dancing with each other like old friends. This place is not to be missed. Food is also on the menu and the charcuterie board was really good. They also have a bowling alley in the back. This place is a keeper!!! read more

Roaring Social is a must visit if you're in downtown Alpharetta! There's a $10 cover fee which increases to $20 after 10:30PM to pay for the live band. The band was a lot of fun signing oldies and bangers. The security guys will provide the password before you head downstairs to enter the speakeasy. Oh this place is trendy and oh so fun! Came here for a birthday party and had a blast. The food and drinks were both good and I loved the ambiance of the speakeasy. I've been looking forward to coming here for a while and finally got to check it out. It did not disappoint! You first check in at the front counter and you need to have a passcode to get in. It's a really neat place! The food was very good and the drinks were perfectly done as well. I ordered a Lemon Drop Martini and an Espresso Martini for dessert. They have a mini bowling area in the back which is a lot of fun. There's also smaller areas and rooms for private parties and events. There's a small dance floor and a dj. There's plenty of seating for those who want to relax and enjoy the environment. This is a great Speakeasy in Alpharetta!! read more

This speak easy with boutique bowling, live music, craft cocktails and finger food is a happy find! We came here with our work group of 10 to relax and unwind after a long day of strategy meetings. It is located right next to the hiltons curio hotel the Hamilton in down town Alpharetta. It is a speak easy, reservations are better then walk ups if you want to play their boutique bowling or get a table. We had a party of 10 and we bowled for an hour... small lanes, a ball like a Bocce ball for a bowling ball, pins on strings, and automatic scoring. A lounge like area to sit in with full bar service. It was fun! From there we had a lounge like area with couches and a coffee table for our eating area. The menu is all aps and "finger" food. The fries are the bomb! Like a cross between a chip and a steak fry... kaplow!! Man these were good! The meat skewers of beef or chicken were good as well. We tried the charcuterie plate... it was ok... we had the wings... I didn't get any but was told they were good. Then we had some deep fried gnocchi... these were strange... just not what I expected I guess... not horrible but not what I would order again. While we were there they had live music and karaoke. It was a really good time! The decor is swanky and fun, it gets crowded, but there is lots of room. Service was good... food was fast, drinks flowed.. it was a great time and I recommend all try this location for a seriously big fun to be had by all. read more

We had an EXCEPTIONAL time here for my dear friends birthday. I flew into town to visit her and she could not stop taking about this place that she's been meaning to try. It did not disappoint! I am *obsessed* with speakeasies and the creativity that goes into the aesthetic. This is the first time that I've been to one that had an alterations theme! When you arrive, you are greeted at the host stand, given beads, champagne, and a ticket to get your clothing items downstairs. You walk down the stairs into a room full of different mannequins and fashions from the past. You pick up the phone on the wall and say you're here for your alterations and it opens up a door to your left that is the entrance to the bar. Inside, the space is so cute and 1920s! There are prohibition photos and a nice stage for the band. I let them know if was her birthday ahead of time and they brought out of a complimentary bottle of champagne!!!! Amazing The service was impeccable. Really. There was a gentleman that was super drunk hovering around our table asking us a ton of questions and within a few minutes our waiter and management came out to privately check on us and ask if we were being bothered. I was not bothered by the gentleman but just the fact that they noticed that and acted upon it immediately is really phenomenal! I wish more establishments were attentive to making women feel safe in bars. They really exceeded all expectations! I highly recommend visiting this place for any occasion! read more

Why such a small dance floor? The first two times I went to Roaring Social, it was AWESOME. The place looks amazing, great live bands, dancing, just a cool vibe. But the last three times I've been there, they filled the dance floor with tables so people only have an area of about six feet by 20 feet to dance. I was there Friday night and the band was killing it. Everyone wanted to to dance. Unfortunately, they couldn't Those that tried were jammed together so all you could do was sort of shuffle two inches to the left and three inches to the right. And there weren't even people sitting in the tables that were on the dance floor. So, instead of this being a really great place to have a drink, see a band AND dance, it's really just another place (like many) to have a drink and see a band. Hey Roaring Social management, as a general rule, the performers shouldn't have more room than the audience. It's like they don't want people to dance. It's like the plot of Footloose. read more

This is a bar in a basement. Not quite a speakeasy. While it's novel to hit a button on a old phone to get in, we were expecting a larger cocktail menu. There were only 14 specialty cocktails on the menu. I ordered the float on and it was super sweet and the root beer foam made it taste almost medicinal and the syrup was all over the place. The paper straw got soggy so fast, making the drink even more cumbersome. My husband ordered a mint julep and his response was "Meh." My expectations for this place was too high. As it was recommended to me by folk who probably never experienced a true speakeasy. read more

Posing as a tailor shop adjacent to the Hamilton Hotel in downtown Alpharetta, Roaring Social is more than just a bar...it's an experience. From the moment you receive your "alteration" ticket and step into the hidden entrance, the journey is pure magic. After requesting your "alteration order" at an old-timey phone, a secret door swings open, revealing a vibrant, speakeasy-style lounge filled with live music, plush seating, and even duckpin bowling lanes in the back. The extensive drink menu (from beer to wine to cocktails) pairs perfectly with the lively ambiance, making this a spot I'd absolutely come back to when I'm back in the area. I love this place, it has a live music and speakeasy vibe. Keep coming back here to do Friday "alterations"

First time visiting, and called ahead to understand the process as Roaring Social is marketed as a speakeasy. What was shared over the phone varied from what we were told when attempting to gain entry. After speaking to the manager, we were able to enter even though they were booked. Glad that he accommodated us, but unfortunate that the staff member over the phone would not share the same details for entry that the manager and bouncer did. It's never good when a manager has to be contacted to assist. Both the bouncer and manager were pleasant, but the misinformation was off-putting. After heading downstairs, like you'd expect at a speakeasy, you speak into the phone or to staff member with the appropriate verbiage to enter the bar. Well welcome to the roaring 20s. The bar and wait staff are dressed circa 1920s, and so we're a few guests. The live band was great - singing well-known R&B hits from the 80s-now. The drinks were great - I had the Purple Lady and Bell Bottom, which was enough, unless I wanted to feel the effect of a third drink the next day. Although the area was packed, we found a few seats at the bar. After speaking to the hostess regarding the empty couches along the wall, we were told they were reserved. However, she told us if any tables became available (tables are first-come, first-served, and all completely occupied) she'd come get us. Not even ten minutes later, did she appear at the end of the bar to let us know she had a table, right up front near the band -- so appreciated that level of service. Ordered the meatballs, which I incorrectly assumed would be from Sorella Vicina upstairs at The Hamilton; they were not. The meatballs were hard; similar to what you'd expect if the meat was overworked during mixing. The patio and mozzarella flatbread with chicken was much better. There wasn't much room on the dance floor to dance with all the patrons who were there dancing. Not a bad thing for the band, which showed how much everyone was enjoying the music, but bad when your table is on the edge of the dance floor, and you either get bumped repeatedly or have a drink spilled on you. Now that we better understand the rules for entry, layout, etc., we'd return. It was a fun night where my husband and my friend's husband were able to enjoy the football games on the huge TVs at the bar, while also enjoying the band. read more

Came here on a whim because I was in the area and heard this place had karaoke. Also, i'm always a fan of a nice speakeasy. Upon entering, I discovered that the karaoke was with a live band which made it more unique. Everyone had a good time and there was a small dance floor in front of the stage which I utilized a couple times. I tried the poutine fries which were delicious, and I have been thinking about them ever since. There is also a small bowling alley in the back which I look forward to coming back to experience another time. Highly recommended. read more

I wish i had read the reviews before i came... This place is a WASTE OF YOUR TIME. Sure, the vibe is nice, the phone to enter in is fun, but everything passed that is a waste. My GF ordered a Margherita so bad we had to send it back, and had an Old Fashioned that was a waste of money. The cocktails are absolutely overpriced and underwhelming, and the food is a disgrace towards the pricing. This place is a dive bar, and every review that displays it as such is 100% accurate. We waited over an hour for our food, and requested our bill be refunded based off how terrible of an experience this was for our date night. WASTE OF TIME- take our advice and go somewhere else! read more

We came here on a Saturday at 6:30pm and was able to get a bowling lane. They do not take reservations for bowling ever (unless you have a big group) and only take reservations for dining on for Tuesday nights. It is duck pin bowling (so smaller than regular bowling) and it was a blast! You enter down stairs and yes, you pick up a phone and give a password to get in, but they tell you the password upstairs. I wonder if it is someone's job to answer that call all night? Ha! We bowled for a hour and had drinks and appetizers. The charcuterie board was great! The service in this area was good and we had an issue with our lane so they gave us 10 extra minutes. We then shifted to the main room where couches are all reserved and tables are first come first served. The tables are all 4-tops, but we saw people adding chairs for more people. We found a high top next to the stage with a great view of the dance floor as well. We pulled up extra stools for our party of 6. The service here was terrible as it took 30 minutes to get our drinks. They were not that crowded at this time of night so I wonder what it's like later on. They comped our drinks, but it was too late, we couldn't chance spending the rest of the night here. We exited and it was a discreet exit that puts you out in the alley leading to the courtyard of the hotel. read more
