CAUTION- I hired this company to redo kids floors with hardwood. Daniel Serrano who provided the estimate told me that he would have done in a week or so. I paid $4400- up front to buy the wood. When it finally got to my house it was not even the right wood. I spent the next 90+ days trying to get the job completed while my kids rooms were a wreck. I was also under the impression that he was a licensed contractor which he is not. After it became painfully obvious that he was just never going to show and I exhausted myself waiting for him I asked for a refund. He said he would refund me via SQUARE and actually sent me what looked like a confirmation but it never came. I was able to get a refund after hiring an attorney who was going to file a criminal complaint with ROC for theft. He sent the refund via ZELLE, finally. When I asked when he would be picking up his wood he told me to keep it / okay to throw out. Throw out $4400 in wood? SCAM. Looking at Beck to do my installation now. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME and MONEY!, SAVE FRUSTRATION! Engaged Daniel to do a bathroom remodel. Tiling subcontractor installed a new shower pan and fixture. Sub did not check the grading of the shower pan and water flows directly into the bathroom. After showing / sharing the issue with Daniel, he committed to repairing the shower pan. After 8x, yes eight attempts and back n forth communication, including 3 no show's i've given up on getting the job fixed. Worst experience ever!! Took $20K and ghosted us. We wanted to remodel our primary bathroom completely. Our shower was leaking, and we could see the black mold warping the walls. We had a few contractors come to give us a quote and ultimately decided to go with Daniel Serrano and Roadrunner Installation, located in Chandler, Arizona. He gave us an estimated time of 4 weeks to complete. To make a long story somewhat short: 1. Daniel told us that he was an unlicensed contractor but worked with a licensed contractor. This was a lie. I believed Daniel, but according to the workers who came to our house, Daniel owns Roadrunner installation. No other licensed contractor is associated with the company--stupid me for trusting another human to be truthful. 2. Once the demo was completed, there would be WEEKS where NO ONE SHOWED UP TO WORK. Out of six weeks, someone showed up to work maybe five or six days. 3. Daniel would not answer his phone calls or text messages when we tried to get updates. 4. Multiple times Daniel did not bring the materials or supplies needed when his employees came to work, so they just turned around and went home. 5. Daniel unloaded the tile we ordered from California in our backyard on the grass under the sun, rain, monsoons, and sprinkler systems. The tile sat there for at least three weeks before someone came to install it. When the men came to install it, the tile was warped and unusable--thousands of $$ down the drain. 6. We were told that the entire remodel project would take four weeks. We were at the six-week point, and very little was done except the demolition and minor plumbing. 7. At my own expense, I had to hire someone to remove all the demolition junk and piles of unusable tile from our backyard. 8. At my own expense, I had to hire a cleaning crew to clean all the dust left in our bedroom after the demolition so I could sleep there again. 9. Given the multiple setbacks, delays, and mistruths, we decided to cut our losses and end our contract. We had given Daniel over $20,000 when we signed our contract. According to the agreement between demo, plumbing, etc., he probably spends about $8,000 max. I called him for a refund, and he lied about refunding it - I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY MONEY BACK! 10. I had to find and hire another contractor to fix the missteps by Roadrunner Installation and finish the project at another cost. I could continue, but I'll stop at that. My worst mistake was trusting this company with my hard-earned money to do this job. Update- 8/14/22 The plumber which I hired to fix the mess that his team installed at my house found that both the shower and the tub faucets were installed incorrectly. They said that the faceplate would not even line up. I have had to purchase all new fixtures and valves. Update 8-20-22 He promised me on Monday that I would be refunded the remaining value which we agreed upon. Monday night- ghosted again. read more

Unfortunately this was the absolute worst experience of my life, Daniel was very nice at first however when it came down to the job itself and communication it lacked it every department. He would tell me his crew would be at my house at a certain time and day I made plans around my work schedule to be available and they NO CALLED NO SHOWED I'm talking 5+ times!! I had to call him and message him multiple times and sometimes he wouldn't even get back to me for DAYS!! that was a red flag to begin with, then when it came down to the installation what a headache, I had to basically show these people how to do their jobs, they laid marble that was porous and then put the GROUT RIGHT over it filing in the pores with grey grout on WHITE TILE when I walked into the bathroom I cried , I was in disbelief I 5 year old would have done a better job , I called Daniel and informed him this was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and it needed to be redone he pushed back telling me I picked a Certain tile that was "hard to work with " well I'm sorry as a PROFESSIONAL that is your job to inform the client if you have zero experience working with this tile I could have easily picked a different one, after months of fighting he came and re did SOME of the tiles in my master bathroom and never still to this day completed the other two bathrooms that ate botched with crooked uneven tiles, guys save yourself the nightmare the head ache I spent for 5 months trying to fight this guy I spend over 25k on floors that I hate and look awful, he literally just disappeared off the face of the earth left my baseboards unfinished falling off and dirty , The only thing valid about his name ROADRUNNER is RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION FROM THIS COMPANY , this company should not be in buisness read more

I'm exposed to ALL KINDS of contractors and installers working in the flooring industry. Usually hearing BAD stories about their work and ethics. However, I have ONLY heard great reviews about these guys. Daniel in particular. I would recommend these guys to anyone for installs. Working first at Home Depot in flooring and now at Floor & Decor. I hired the contractor Roadrunner to remodel my master bathroom in early October. He (Daniel Serrano) said he could start right away. He quoted me a price of $14,000 dollars and in Arizona I am required to put half down so I gave him a check for $8000 dollars he said he went to the bank and they told him it would not clear for 12 days and he needed the money to pay his crews and get materials. Then he said could I put it on my credit card so he could get it and start right away. He told me he cancelled the check and I then put $8000 on my Visa. Then he did not show up to do any work and it was not until many calls he finally sent a demolition crew on October 21st and they did that. In the mean time I found out that he had in fact cashed my check and I had $8000 on my Visa account. I asked him to return my money and he gave me a check I deposited in my account and it was rejected due to insufficient funds so I am out now $ 16000 dollars and all he has provided is the demolition and 1 day of carpentry work and 1 day of sheet rock work and installed some cabinetsin all 5 days of labor and then the crews told me they are no coming back because Daniel owes them money. Daniel has admitted to my general contractor that he used my money to pay his crews for work performed on other jobs not my job. He said he had two big jobs he had not been paid for and needed the money until that money is paid to him. Daniel has scammed me and to date I am out $16000 dollars Im hoping I can recover my $8000 on my Visa account so maybe I can finish my bathroom. This has been a disaster for me and my family.
