Be extremely careful hiring John the owner of Marshall Renovations. I won't go into a lot of detail but I will share my most recent experience with him. John chose to place a Mechanical Lien on my property. I resolved the lien debt back in early April and he has promised on several occasions that the lien would be removed. Come to find out from the company he uses to service liens he never paid the bill. He has been challenging to deal with and will make a lot of promises to get the money but once he gets the money. Good luck on him fulfilling on those promises. I am now having to employ an attorney to motivate and deal with John as he is in violation of not removing the lien. We are very pleased with the work John and his crew did! We needed the stucco to be redone with a smooth finish, new paint on the eaves/trim, and had them replace a window. It was responsibly priced, and although it took a few extra days than initially thought, they were professional, communicative, and did a great job. 3 stars because he seems like a nice guy. Left off 2 stars because he missed 2 appts set with me to give me an estimate. I came down from a different state to meet a couple contractors for estimates. He was supposed to come last Friday and he cancelled same day because he had other obligations that took longer than expected. He was then supposed to come 3 days later on Monday and he never showed up. I extended my stay just for this re scheduled appointment. I'm sure he does good work, but your word is everything for customers. He offered to come back on Wednesday, but my client who wanted the work done didn't want to move forward any longer. My client also let me go because I couldn't get him what he wanted in a timely manner. read more
