HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Do NOT use this company to transport your vehicle. Unprofessional. Unreliable. Unresponsive. Unapologetic. From initial quote (sales rep was a JERK), to dodging my calls when inquiring about the status of pickup (they answered when I called on my wife's phone), to ultimately never even showing up to retrieve our vehicle... simply the WORST business and customer service. Shady people. We ended up using another service provider, who was $300 cheaper for a cross-country transportation, and didn't charge us upfront. read more

Road Runner was easy to book with and came in with a competitive price. They brokered out to DK Auto transport who did an amazing job transporting a classic car from Connecticut to Florida for me. The driver was able to pick the car up a day early and delivery it a day early. Great communication through the entire process. The driver called and texted me when he was in route for the pick up and called and texted when we was getting closer to the delivery point. I highly recommend them and will be using them again if ever needed in the future. Thank you Road Runner for making the connection! read more

Car was suppose to be picked up Saturday, we called Monday and they stated that it was scheduled, it's Tuesday still nothing. I'll give to end of day today then we will find another company. Very surprised as I see the rest of these reviews I should have went somewhere else it seems. read more

I shipped my car with Roadrunner on December 31 to FL from Massachusetts. They were late picking the car up; the fee increased at pick up; I bought their insurance; the car was delivered late; the car was damaged in transport; I submitted a claim with required estimated repair costs. It has been two months. I have called several times and no one has returned my calls. I don't usually complain online but I don't know how else to get Roadrunner's attention. I can not recommend this company. read more

ZERO STARS. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. Update: It is now past Christmas (2017). My truck was shipped and damage in August. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and still received nothing but lip service from this rolling ripoff service. Original Post: Shipped my truck from VA to FL. Service before and during was fine, because I was flexible. However, the contractor that delivered my truck did about $1000+ worth of damage to the roof. I got two estimates and submitted all the required paperwork to RoadRunner. Three months later I'm still waiting! I've called numerous times and have left many messages. Elizabeth ****** is supposedly in charge of claims, but all I've gotten from her since the paperwork went in, was one e-mail thanking me for my patience. BS! Industry norm is to have everything resolved and the customer paid in less than 30 days. They've blown me off like a fart in a hurricane. read more

Didn't even book transport. Got a quote (30% more than other company) and then a guy called. Got quite abrupt when I told him their one way charge was a lot more. Then telling me that he was protecting me from other guys who quote and use contract drivers. Told him I had used the other company before and he said good luck and hung up. Needless to say if this is how they try to get business I would steer clear. And now reading these reviews it seems justified. read more

Honestly, I wish that I could give no stars! Worst company I have ever worked with. I am moving from CA to TX and scheduled a pickup and I was ASSURED that it would be picked up on that date because I was on a time crunch to move. Well, just like every other review of this company, the day that it was supposed to be picked up came and went with no word from roadrunner. We called and spoke to representatives and left messages for the manager, who we were told was too busy to speak to us. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen, and argued with me on the phone. read more

They have a horrible customer service. I understand that this pandemic has changed the way things are done. After trying to reach customer service for 2 hours, I finally spoke to one of the agents (Lena), who was extremely rude. She mentioned she was taking care of other 10 customers at the same time online and was not really paying attention to my concerns. She even had to ask me for my booking # again in the middle of our conversation, because she was chatting with other customers. She actually recommended me to cancel my reservation and go with another company because they could not guarantee my pickup time. Please pay attention to all the other recent reviews, all of them mention a very poor customer service. read more

Terrible communication and customer service. Requested service almost a month in advance and never got a carrier. Would contact them via online because they never answer their phone calls. Was told the same thing every time" we are currently/actively trying to find a carrier". Got the same response up until the pick up date requested. Still did not have a carrier or official pick up date. Ended up going with a different company and canceling them. Do not waste your time with this company. read more

My fiance had a good experience with RoadRunner but I did not - my car pick up was scheduled and the date/time went by with no communication from them. When I called, no one would pick up and the hold would disconnect after five minutes. Online, the chat service would tell me they were working on getting driver and they had no updates. After a week of the same thing, five unanswered requests for a phone call, I ended up cancelling the order. I went with Montway, and things improved a little, but overall not a great experience. DO NOT LEAVE YOUR EZ PASS IN THE CAR, even wrapped in foil. read more

If I could rate a Zero I would. This company has the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. The estimated shipping date was for 7/15 and the carrier did Not arrive until 7/16 No big deal. I paid a 1000 extra for an Enclosed transport and they showed up with open transport and tried arguing with me when I have all documentation to show it is Enclosed. There staff is absolutely horrible with Zero calls back from Both days I had been trying to get ahold of them for this transport. This company needs to be shut down and I do not recommend them for any transport at in I expect a full refund as they had run me the bill before the car was even picked up. read more

So after talking to the driver who actually transported my car, friends I have in the auto business, and reading other reviews about this garbage company. They pay the drivers a flat rate the price is never set by the driver or actual transport company. Road runner just rips you off and gouges you for more money at the very last minute so you're stuck, and if you try to cancel they charge you a cancellation fee. The driver told me they ripped me off and so did my friends that are in the auto business. They said they never recommend road runner to clients they're a sheisty company. DON'T USE!!!! Read all the reviews left by people. Very negative. Save yourself the headache. read more

Contacted to arrange shipping for one vehicle from CA to WA. Booking completed on 12/14, with vehicle available to pickup on 12/19, and desired delivery date on 12/23. A carrier was assigned first thing in the morning on 12/18 with a pickup set for 12/19. The morning of 12/19 I received an email, text, and a call stating that the vehicle was going to be picked up that day. Nobody showed up. On 12/20 nobody showed up either. Between those two days, I spent approximately 12 hours on hold trying to get ahold of someone who could give us an update. Finally reached the carrier who sounded like I had woken them up with children screaming in the background and they informed me that their brakes went out on I5 and would not be able to pick up the vehicle. After numerous hours on hold, I was able to speak to someone in dispatch on 12/21 who confirmed that the original carrier had just called them and cancelled the load and he would work on finding an alternative carrier, I stressed the importance of the delivery date and he said he didn't think it would be an issue to still hit the delivery date of 12/23 even though it was 12/21. He then called back with two options. First option kept the price the same and would meet our 12/23 deadline, but we would have to pick it up at the Port of Tacoma, the second option, would get the vehicle there on time, but was an additional $210, but it would be delivered to our door. Picking it up from the Port was not an option, so I was forced into paying the additional $210 if I wanted to still meet my 12/23 deadline. Vehicle was picked up 12/22, but was not delivered until 12/24, after the important deadline. Called to speak to customer service about refunding the additional $210 I paid to get it by my deadline, and was told they don't issue refunds and there's nothing they can do about it, that was after being on hold for 3 hours and being hung up on/transferred 3 times. It's a scam and money grab, after not showing up, don't say if you pay "X" amount more we can meet your deadline, and then not meet it, and then refuse to even entertain issuing a refund for that additional amount. read more

Horrible customer service, they called asking for more money on the day of pick up then had an attitude when I asked for an update on the pick up time. It is now 4pm on the day of pick up with no one has contacted us. All we have been told is the driver may contact us 1-2 hours before and has until 9pm tonight. Since when? That was never discussed when I booked this company. Follow up: the driver called me at 8:30pm to tell me he would not make it on the day of pick up but maybe the next day around noon. This was after I asked multiple times for an update from customer service. Your response below does not resolve any issues. No one from your office has contacted me on the date of original pick up although I was told 4-5 times someone would call me back, not on the date my vehicle was actually picked up and now 24 hours after no one has called me from your office. read more

I haven't even gotten my car yet and I'm already leaving a bad review. This "company" has the worst communication I've ever dealt with. They're all nice and quick to responding before you book and pay, but after that it's radio silence. On the website it says there's 24/7 tracking available, constant online support etc., but that's a huge lie. There's NO WAY to track your car, which sucks because it's going across country. I had to literally call each day 35 times just to talk to a person and ask them to find out where my car is. I even paid to expedite my car and it's still delayed!!! There was a delay with the transport truck and it had to go to an auto shop to get fixed, so my car was delayed by 4 days. I get if mechanical issues happen, but come on SOMEONE couldn't let me know?!! The only way I knew this was because I had to get through to customer service and they finally told me. It's so frustrating when your new $50k car is on done truck for a week and your getting no updates. I won't do business with these fools again. read more

Booked transportation quickly and efficiently online - only to find out, after receiving an order confirmation, the amount I was charged was "subject to change" (they up-charged me $150) and the pick-up date wasn't firm. Dishonest service all around. read more

My car was picked up promptly and the driver called me to let me know he was an hour away and where to meet him so the large trailer did not have to travel down a residential neighborhood. We arrived in Texas on the day of delivery at 11:00 am. The driver called me at 12:00 pm to let me know he was an hour away. We met at the Home Depot near my son's home at took possession of the car. The delivery was seamless, ontime and the car was a little dirty. The quote was the price paid and I would recommend them again. I also did research on the transport company used for my vehicle and they were a five star company. read more

Universal Truckers was the carrier assigned to us and I can't tell you how awesome Guy was. Would highly, highly recommend. We dropped off our vehicle to him on Wednesday night and it arrived early on Sunday. Days before expected! Price was reasonable as well. I also liked that we had the option to cancel at no charge as long as it was before being assigned a carrier. But clearly we didn't need to cancel. read more

The lady Alexandra who answers the phone for customer support is rude, hostile and passive aggressive, she is also not helpful in any way. I am very surprised with the lack of competency and efficiency in this company. My truck was scheduled to arrive the 16th, we paid over $1500 to get it from California to Texas; my wife and I took off work to make the two hour drive to pick it up, no call, no truck. Then they say we have it all wrong, it was picked up the 16th, arrive the 22nd. Now I have to miss my first two day of a brand new job (requiring my truck) and hope not to get fired. I'm reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT do business with these people! read more

If I could leave a no star review, I would. The sales rep "guaranteed" the low price and pick up within 2 days. After a week into it, I was told by dispatch that they could not guarantee price or pickup / delivery until a carrier actually accepted the order. The first bait and switch came when they said they could not find anyone to pick up the vehicle at the quoted price (even though the sales rep said it was already accepted). They raised the price $120. The day that carrier was supposed to pick up the vehicle, I received a notice that due to an unforseen event, it could not be picked up. I was told it was escalated to urgent. Another carrier was available for (you guessed it), another $120. It has been paid for in full and is past the date of pick up. And yes, you guessed it again, it has not been picked up. Every time I call, I am on hold between 30 minutes to over an hour. Currently I am on hold to see what the next bait and switch will be. If anyone has even a thought of doing business with these guys, please get your head examined. read more

Im so happy my gut instinct didn't book with this company. The fact the called back to back early in the morning (8am) to try and get me was already a red flag. Then after letting Colin know I was still shopping around he proceeded to tell me I didn't know what I was doing and continued bash other companies insisting they were the best company to insinuating others were bait and switch but clearly off reviews they are the ones who bait and switch. After letting him know that he proceeded to tell me if I didn't want to pay what they were offering I was better off just driving my own car and they've been in business for 30+ years so losing me doesn't affect them none. So to basically be told I don't matter either way was a BIG NO. i would not trust my vehicle in the hands of someone who just looks at me as another quota they met Or didn't meet. read more

Terrible terrible company. When we first searched for a shipping company on google, this company showed to have a 4 star rating. Then I decided to dig a little deeper, and I was horrified. They were quick to answer when they wanted our money, but once they get it your immediately "ghosted". We were told we would receive a call after they picked up the vehicle from the driver. We were not contacted for 8 days. Keep in mind they said the car would be delivered in 7 to 9 days. We couldn't reach anyone. Terrible customer service and theres no way of finding out where your vehicle is. Just take a look at the reviews. If your car is not damaged when you get it, then you might not get it at all! Finally after threatening to call the police and fighting over the phone for hours and days our car arrived. A complete SCAM of a company. Please do your research and go somewhere else for peace of mind. read more

Why did I go with these guys and get let down twice? Because I'm stupid. I have had shipping reservations for two months for two vehicles. The first one went a week late, so I moved up the final one just in case. Good thing I did - they failed again yesterday. OH, but that didn't stop them from going ahead and charging my credit card. Just talked to them. They're ok if I drive two vehicles cross country. The fact that I'm moving and on a timeline is not their concern. Now I just have to figure out how to be in two cars at the same time. I would NOT recommend them in the future. read more

I was quoted $845.00 to transport my vehicle from Southern California to Austin Texas. The night before the vehicle was scheduled to be picked up I received a text asking me to call ASAP to confirm my appointment. I was informed by the dispatcher that the price was going to be $980.00 to ship the vehicle. What can I do the vehicle needed to be in Austin by Monday. They where scheduled to pick the car up on Thursday and I started receiving calls that the driver was running late. They did not pick the car up until Saturday night at 11:00 pm. I was forced to meet the driver several blocks away as he would not drive into my area. When the car arrived I received a text message from tyhe driver stating that if I wanted my car I would have to meet him as he would not drop the car off in my area. I was forced to drive an hour to pick up my car. Not sure who is giving these guys 5 stars but they are full of BS. The driver did not speak english, could not read his text messages or voice mails. ZERO STARS DO NOT SHIP THROUGH THIS COMPANY! I booked my car to be shipped on a date 1 MONTH in advance! Since my booking I have had NO COMMUNICATION from them 1 week before my pick up date a Carrier was not assigned for my car to be picked up I called them they said I will hear from them 1-2 days before my pick up date. Fast forward to the day of being picked up NO CARRIER WAS ASSIGNED also NO CALLS/COMMUNICATION. I called all day and got sent to voicemail every-time! Guess what my car WAS NOT PICKED UP and I didn't hear anything from them about anything. I try contacting them the next day I got hung up on during my conversation I try calling back and get sent STRAIGHT TO VOICE MAIL. This company was ignoring my calls all day. Today was the day my car was supposed to get picked up and guess what! No calls no show, no email... crickets. Last communication was an email last night, to let me know that once a carrier was assigned they would call me. Well today, the day of no call. I tried calling so many times only to be kept on hold to listen to the message about how busy they were. The person who emailed me last night didn't respond to the emails sent today. Called Anthony who was the salesperson, he picked up yesterday but of course not today when I needed my car picked up! Well at the last minute I called Sherpa and guess what they already picked up my car on the same day I called them! And thank god because I was only in town for this for a couple days before I had to leave cross country. Idk how that have any positive reviews or how this company works but just do yourself a favor and call Sherpa. They have been in constant contact and my car is on its way. Oh and guess what, I emailed Roadrunner after I got things squared away with Sherpa to cancel my booking my and they replied straightaway to that and cancelled, yet they were too busy to reply to me asking what's going on is someone coming to get the car? I'm not sure this is even a real company! read more

Same problem as a lot of other reviews on here: they charged me for a cancellation when they clearly state in their shipping terms and agreements that a cancellation fee is only applied when a carrier has been assigned to your order. Not only that, they assure prospective customers that they will not be charged for anything until the carrier picks up the car and that one might cancel at anytime. As everyone else on here, I would recommend not buying any service from them & their other businesses. read more

They damaged my car and won't take ownership (bent something in undercarriage- it's a unique car can't take to local mechanic). They are Treating me like I am the issue. I am a repeat customer. Loyalty means nothing. If you value customer service...well they suck. The girl I talked to today, Jen or Jenna, was the equivalent of talking to a sullen teenager and I was only able to talk to her after sending an email saying no one would answer the phone after my multiple calls. I have shipped 4 other vehicles with them and never complained, now that I have an issue they treat me like garbage. Don't give them your money...they just sub the work out to another company anyway. read more

if I could give zero I would. this has the worst customer service in any industry. once you sign your contract you will never talk to another person. I felt with Nick Raymundo to sign. the car was supposed to be picked up on a Monday. no contact from the company and the car did not get picked up. multiple voicemails to Nick and emails with no response. try to call the company and no answer. on line support feature (no agent available) is all you get. zero communication and unable to obtain a person. have to hit the button for new contract to get a person who immediately transfers you to a non existent extension. I have moved seceral vehicles but by far this has been the worst company to deal with. if we were not in a jam we would have not allowed the driver to take the car and disputed the charge. It would be great if they actually answered a phone or responded. aweful. read more

I transported my Daughters car across the country to her and Roadrunner was eager to take my reservation and money. we got an email saying the driver would call us before pickup and then we could track the progress across the country. The driver called 20min before getting to our home and loaded the car and left. Then silence... one day, two days, three days, no updates. I look on the website to track it and all it showed was that we were assigned a truck, not even that it was picked up. I tried calling customer support, waited for 45minutes before being disconnected. called back, was on hold again for 35 minutes before I had to hang up because of previous commitments. Day 4 I called again, no answer. finally day 5 I called the number for reservation, explained that I wanted to track my vehicle and couldn't and was told that that tracking wasn't part of his job, and he hung up. I called back and he wouldn't pick up. I called from another number and guess what, he picked up, so he obviously blacklisted my other number. On call number 2 he told me that was customer services responsibility and "transferred" me to which I waited another 48 minutes before being disconnected. finally, using 2 phones I called customer service, and after leaving both phones on speaker on hold, someone picked up at the 58min mark. When I explained my situation, the lady told me that because my daughter set up the pickup she cant talk to me and promptly hung up. Thankfully, late afternoon of day 5 the driver called my daughter and she got her car. Even after the car was signed for and delivered the tracking shows that its waiting for pickup. I have no issues with the truck driver, he did his job well but the rudeness and absolute lack of communication with the rest of the Roadrunner staff was completely unacceptable. I wont be using Roadrunner ever again. read more

Horrible experience. Started off well, very nice to speak with on the phone and easy to book. My car was ready to be picked up on January 27th because I was moving across the country on January 29th. Today is January 29th and I have yet to be contacted or hear from them at all. This was supposed to be an easy process but now it's by far the most stressful part of my move. I would never ever use this company again and would highly recommend using a different company if you want a stress-free move. I will update when/if they finally pick up my car. read more

I scheduled a transport from Boston to Portland OR and I second what Robert C. has said before me. Literally tried to rip me off as well after they didn't show up to pick up my vehicle. I had to track down the driver myself to find out that he had broken down somewhere in Wyoming with no hope of picking up my car at all. I called repeatedly to get status updates and the phone continued to ring with no one answering. 3 days later I got a response and said I was a top priority and they were finding a new carrier asap. When they found a new carrier, they said they were charging me more. I argued against the up-charge due to terrible service the first round, they said they could do nothing for me so I cancelled. Requested a quote a while ago and they did a decent job following up to see if I still required their service. Since I've been busy I haven't been able to get back to them, but finally today I was able to pick up their call. Normally, I wouldn't bother leaving reviews but this phone call interaction was by far the worst display of courtesy and respect. Road Runner quoted me $835.00 at 9:54PM Wednesday nigh March 15, 2023 then $921.00 at 10:07 the next morning. The thing to understand... roadrunner isn't the one transporting your car. It's random carrier transports from other businesses. There is major lack of communication between courier and roadrunner. Road runner sent an email saying my car would be picked up on 27th after I had already spoke to the courier who said it would be delayed by a day. Road runner has no clue what so ever. LUCKILY I got an amazing transporter who was very good with communicating. Otherwise, roadrunner can't tell you anything about where your car is. Also, be aware a lot of changes can happen with when your car is picked up or delivered. Mine was delayed a day because my driver had an issue with someone else he was delivering to. Had there been bad weather that would have definitely delayed as he had to drive through the Rockies. My driver is give 5 stars. But he does not work for Roadrunner. Roadrunner themselves I am giving 2 stars. As well priced and they were nice when I originally inquired. Suggestion would be to really work on your communication with your 3rd party drivers. read more

This is one of the most awful experience that I ever encountered as a customer or in business. RoadRunner is a broker; they have zero control over the transportation process of your car. They will mislead you until they get your business; and then zero customer service. The sales agent made promises he didn't meet; he avoided my calls when I needed support; I used a different number and then he answered. He disrespected me on the phone; hang up twice. It was chocking. Even if they would ship my car for free going forward; I will not use them. It's that bad!! Please stay away! read more

If I could give this company less than one star, I would. Do NOT use them...any positive review they have received was not because this is a good company but because they got lucky. There are no words to describe the dissatisfaction, the lies about costs and delivery dates...even though the customer signs the agreement, assuming all will be honored. You are held hostage as they tell you at the last minute the time the car will be picked up but now it is $300 more than the original quote. THEN you are told that the date it was supposed to be delivered is now delayed by 8 days but they only 'estimated'' the date on the agreement you sign So again...you are held hostage...Do NOT use this company, unless you are fine paying way extra than what you are quoted AND you have a very flexible schedule to accommodate their bogus delivery dates... read more
