Amazing amazing amazing!!! Thank you James and Number 1 Auto transport. After another large auto transport company failed to pick up my vehicle during the promised pickup window (and they just kept telling me they wouldn't know when they would be able to), I was left scrambling and had to extend my rental car in California. I was even told they couldn't find a carrier in my area that could transport my car from Florida to California. After my experience, that clearly wasn't the case. I found out about Number One Auto Transport on Reddit after I saw some great reviews and filled out a form on their site Thursday night. On Friday morning James gave me a call (JAMES YOURE THE BEST!!!) & not even an hour after speaking with him, they had already found a carrier for me. They got to work immediately after our phone call, and my car was picked up that Monday (I first spoke with James on Friday). Since this was my first time shipping a vehicle, James took the time to explain exactly how the process works, listened to my situation, answered all of my questions honestly, and found me a great price (and locked in a carrier super fast). I never felt pressured or misled, I just felt genuinely taken care of. The carrier was fantastic, and both the company and the carrier were professional, responsive, and communicative throughout the entire process. My car arrived from Florida to California in perfect condition, exactly as it was when it left. After my experience with the other "big" company, i was really hesitant about putting trust into another company, but I'm glad i trusted this company. I really appreciated the honesty, transparency, and urgency that Number One Auto Transport showed. They delivered exactly what they promised. I will only use Number One Auto Transport for any future vehicle shipments and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and professional auto transport company. read more

Outstanding Service! This is our sixth (6th) time using John and his team. Flawless process. The communication was great via telephone, email, and text messages. We've used John and Number 1 Auto Transport to relocate our son from Maryland to Boise, Idaho last year for work. Now, the move from Boise to Dallas, Texas. I highly recommend this team. The pricing is reasonable, but more important, the timely service and delivery. read more

I purchased a brand new car last Wednesday in Upstate NY and I had to have it transported to Denver, CO (where I live). This was the first time I worked with a transport company and I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Number 1 Auto Transport. I researched transport companies for 4 hours the day. after I purchased my car, as I wanted to work with a company that was highly rated, dependable and communicative - three things that you don't often find in this industry. I stumbled upon Number 1 Auto Transport from reading very positive reviews on Reddit and Yelp, so I decided to give them a call. I was connected to James and he took the time to answer all of my questions and most importantly, was honest with me. After my long conversation with James, I knew this was the company I wanted to use, so James and I connected the next morning to finalize the agreement. James was extremely communicative throughout the entire process and I can't thank him enough! The best part is that my car was picked up from the dealership on Tuesday and it got delivered to my house in Denver TODAY! It was only a two day transport from Upstate NY to Denver! I was pleasantly surprised and I can't thank James and Number 1 Auto Transport enough!v If you want an honest, reliable and communicative transport broker, look no further! read more

Great service. They were upfront with costs and were able to easily connect me with. Driver.

Number 1 Auto Transport and James were awesome - efficient, great communication, and promises kept. James stepped in and came through big time for us at the last minute after Auto Star Transport Express failed to keep their promise. James quickly found a carrier for us, and our car was delivered in two days (Phoenix to Boise). From some horror stories I heard about auto transport companies, I dreaded having our car shipped, but James and Number 1 proved there is a reliable transport company. read more

They have a very good reputation. The next morning, one of the owners called me, calm and professional wanting to explain the transportation industry which helped me understand it even better. The competition out there is tough, and like he said quite often, not honest on their bids have already contacted approximately 12 different shippers. I was totally in agreement with what he was telling me from a professional standpoint, Not quite sure how I'm going to get my auction bought vehicle from Savannah Georgia to Amarillo, Texas, but I'm definitely going to keep them in mind. I appreciated his attitude when he called me this morning and the entire phone call went very nicely. We even had cats in common interest. read more

After spending a good deal of time getting quotes for delivering my Lexus from Nassau County, NY to Pompano Beach, FL, l decided to go with them. It was not based on price, as many others "low balled" and later had said their price quote "may change" based on certain factors, like gas prices etc. After speaking to James Ryan, he gave me a fair, set price promising no "surprises" and additiionally, his Rating was very high, of which, l felt confident about. He hooked me up with "John" who he said was one of his "best drivers" , and very reliable. The whole trip was on time as promised. Fast and reliable, no low balling and no hidden costs . I highly recommend Number 1 Auto Transport when shipping your auto! read more

Car shipment process between NJ and NM with this company was smooth, easy, transparent, and reliable. Had very good communication with both broker and car-carrier driver--both were very professional. The transport itself turned out to be even faster than expected. Rob (who owns the business) answered all my questions and really seems to have built up a good business and relationships with trusted drivers. We would not hesitate to use this company again to ship our car. read more

Cross-post from Google: There aren't enough words to describe how much Number 1 Auto Transport exceeded my expectations. From the moment of my initial inquiry, Marc R. responded quickly and provided me with details of the process and timing of the transport. He set reasonable timeframes and was upfront about cost, payment processing, insurance coverage, and transport time. Once I confirmed that I wanted to move forward, Marc immediately called the dealership and introduced himself, and explained what the dealership could expect from Number 1 when picking up the vehicle. Even the dealership was impressed! On June 6, 2023, I confirmed my intention to move forward and my car was picked up the same day from the Pacific Northwest region and headed to Texas! Rob from Number 1 stayed in contact with me and shared the expected delivery throughout the process and shared my driver's name. During this time, I experienced an unexpected death in my family and would not be in town at the estimated time of arrival of the car. I explained this to Rob and he reconfirmed that the car would make it to me on June 11, 2023. My driver, Dima, was great! He kept me updated a day before his arrival and on the same day of delivery, he told me where to meet him and he was punctual. When we arrived, Dima had the car off the truck, we inspected the vehicle, and we were on our way. Fast and efficient. While I am not one for long reviews, I find it necessary to share my experience if anyone is leery. I had the heebie-jeebies after talking to and corresponding with some of these transport companies. The other companies were grimy, overly aggressive in their approach, and spammed me with calls and texts with no details on how to professionally earned my business. Number 1 was the opposite. It took a lot of research and my nerves were bad, honestly. I never thought I'd find a reliable and professional transport until I found Number 1 Transport. Marc, Rob, and Dima were THE best and I am so thankful for them. I highly recommend and would use this company again. read more

We are totally satisfied with the arrangements Marc at Number 1 Auto Transport made to take our Rogue from Philadelphia area to Madison, Wisconsin via MV Transport. Every planning detail was taken care of efficiently and completely by this excellent company; Marc was always easily accessible by phone and answered any questions that we had clearly and specifically. The mark of good service for us is clarity and accuracy of communication. We received that from Marc. We would also like to commend the kindness and consideration given to us when a mistake on our part (providing the wrong car key!) threatened to delay the on-time delivery, MV Management and Driver worked closely with us to find a solution to the problem. Their sympathy and cooperation was gracious and personal. A solution was found, and our car arrived at its destination on time and in perfect shape. We highly recommend both Number 1 Auto Transport and MV Transport and are grateful for their professional and human approach to the client's needs. read more

Horrible!!!! I called and asked for a quote and when I said it was too pricy they straight up laughed and hung up. Young kids working. No manners read more

I highly recommend this company for anyone shipping cars in the country. They were very efficient and followed through with everything they told us would happen. Stu was great at explaining everything to me, beginning to end, and I felt super comfortable using them. Transport time was quicker than I expected, and much faster than most other companies I have used. The driver was nice and communicated very well with me, and the price was reasonable for the quality of work provided. I will use you guys again! Thanks Stu read more

I honestly was a little suspicious about all of these good reviews, but after working with Number 1, I can safely say that they've definitely earned them. Saw James's post on Reddit, and he stayed on a 45 minute call to answer all of my questions, which was greatly appreciated. Was supposed to have my car picked up March 29th - April 3rd. Ended up getting picked up on April 4th (no worries) by Yuri (went by Vlad) from ABP Logistics. Super nice guy, kept me updated the entire time, and everything was done super legit. Got my car back on April 11th, ended up paying $1,650 total from Illinois to Washington. Worth it for the professionalism of the company and peace of mind, highly recommend! read more

I was extremely nervous about this process because I've never shipped my car across the country, and while researching companies I saw a lot of horror stories about people getting screwed over, but I didn't have any issues and I will definitely go with Number 1 again if I need to ship my car. As others have said, John was very helpful and easy to work with; the amount I was quoted when I initially spoke with him was the amount I had to pay, and there was never any attempt to add any additional fees. read more

Please disregard my 1 star rating as the owner of this company reached out to me this morning and was unaware of situation. This was my first experience with any transporter so I thought the driver was my only contact. The owner could not have been any nicer or more professional and is more than willing to work with me....sorry I jumped the gun. read more

I was nervous about shipping my car from NY to SC. These days lots of scams out there. this company is awesome. from the minute I spoke to John on the phone I knew this was the compamy I was going with. They kept me up to date about the whole process from pick up to drop off. The car was picked up and dropped off on time. The driver Wilson was awesome. Thanks again. read more

Extremely efficient- they took care of getting my Tesla delivered perfectly. Stu was very helpful in arranging. They wouldn't take any money until they delivered. Much better that others I called . If you have read reviews for many of the others you'll see why Number 1 made the experience very low stress and easy to deal with. Definitely I would use them again. They handled the way you would expect and hope a company would. read more

Sam Green came to our rescue when we were in a pinch from another company canceling on us. We had booked to have our vehicle shipped from SF to Portland with another company (SF auto Transport/USA Auto Transport), but one day before our move, they cancelled the job. Fortunately, we were able to find Sam who hustled, worked his magic, and within ONE HOUR was able to find us someone to transport our vehicle! On the day of pick up, the dispatcher (Mike, One Wheel Trucking) came, adeptly brought it onto his trailer, and also kept us updated on the status throughout delivery. We are so grateful to Sam for his help, he was great to work with--absolutely reliable, efficient, friendly and communicative! And thank you Mike for getting our vehicle here safely! If we ever need to ship our vehicle to another state, we will be sure to ask for Sam again! read more

This company exceeded my expectations. This was my first car shipping experience and we were shipping my daughters car from PA to Denver. John was very honest about the process and set realistic expectations. My daughters goal was to have the car in Denver when she landed. We ended up shipping it on the last day of the window, which was Friday of Labor Day weekend. I was not optimistic. I thought that she was going to get the car towards the end of the next week, since she was landing on a Monday which was Labor Day. Much to my surprise, the car was there before she landed. We coordinated for a friend to pick up and she was very happy. We were kept informed throughout the process. We had a great first car shipping experience and highly recommend Number 1 Auto Transport. read more

Just had 3 of our precious (to us) vehicles shipped to another state and Number 1 brokers were super responsive and patient with me and my gazillion questions and concerns. The driver/operators were professional and personable. The first one had a rig that was too big and was kind and understanding when I asked for another transport. The 2nd was very efficient and did a great job handling our rigs, treating our running vehicle just as carefully as our rolling project. And he was very patient as our property was a little complicated to navigate. I'm really glad I found you guys. I look forward to our next transport of the remaining vehicles. After that, I hope I never have to use your service again, but if I need transport, I'm calling you. Well done! read more

Are you confused with the sudden hundreds of phone calls and emails shooting at you in the span of 5 minutes from all of these different car shipping companies offering you the best quote and service? Well luckily you're reading this review because Number 1 Auto Transport is where your research stops and the best way to go for your car shipping needs. Their prices are fair (check uship.com for a comparison), they have great customer service that help you every step of the way (Joe was very reliable throughout the whole process) and they have positive reviews all around (especially on yelp.. I don't really trust that phony looking transportreviews.com website). Really glad I trusted my yelp instincts with this one! read more

Number 1 Auto Transport - Vehicle Shipping Near Me - Merrick, New York

After learning about horror stories of people getting their cars shipped I did extensive research and came across Number 1 Auto Transport. I had the pleasure of working with John who was quick to respond to my quote request and provided very helpful and clear information. We needed to get our car from TX to Cali and got matched with a driver the very next day after booking and our car arrived promptly 4 days after pick up in the exact condition we dropped it off in. I highly recommend using this company for being honest and clear with everything and most importantly delivering on their promises! Thank you John! read more

Outstanding! Shipped a cool Toyota Tacoma from Brooklyn to Santa Cruz CA...Marc was extremely professional on the phone and in the email, very patient in explaining how it would go. Everything went incredibly smoothly and well within all the timeframes he projected...the truck was picked up a couple of days after signing and basically arrived on the 6th day of a 6-10 day estimate for crossing the country. Fees all straight forward and upfront, no nonsense or trying to add on to the original quote. The only detail was they couldn't deliver to "the door" of the CA house as the car carrying truck is huge and can't get down some fairly ordinary streets/make turns so it was dropped off nearby, but that in itself was an enjoyable experience. Car arrived in fine condition. Driver friendly and communicated well. Awesome, would absolutely go straight to them for any future car shipping. read more

If I could give 100 stars I would. My son is a professional baseball player for the Savannah Bananas. They organized shipping the car from Georgia to Island Park N.Y. Did not take a penny until the car was pick up in Georgia. Car was delivered by CarPoint express in perfect condition for which I paid the balance. I will be using them again when my son has to report to Georgia February 2024. I highly recommend this transport company. read more

I should have wrote this earlier but eventually I forgot ti write a review. So it was 3 weeks ago and I bought my 2015 mustang at Denver, Colorado. I needed to be shipped to San Jose, California. I got countless calls and emails from everywhere. I didn't know which one to choose and decided to see Yelp's review. Joe is the guy who contacted to me and gave excellent service to me. He called and sent a message to me so I can know the process and explained everything that I asked clearly. The car was shipped at the exact date with perfect condition. I'm 200% satisfied how he take care of his customers and he double checked even the car was shipped to make sure everything is okay. Gonna call him again if I need another car to be shipped and anybody who gets a call from Joe, do not hesitate to make a contract with him. I wish I can give 10 stars to him. Thank you so much and sorry for the late review :D read more

Excellent communication and service, got my daughters car shipped on time and in great shape

Offered a real price, provided real customer support... picjed up and delivered cars as agreed! Thanks James.

I never write reviews but I had to this time. I did a lot of research on other car transport companies and they started to sound too good to be true because the prices were really low. Other companies were also really pushy and constantly calling me. But this company is the real deal. James Ryan was very down to earth and very helpful. I needed my car moved from New York to Georgia. The car was delivered very quickly and in perfect condition. I also used them to have my mother's car moved as well. Perfect service both times. And the truck drivers themselves were very friendly, so that's a plus! Go with them, you wont regret it! read more

This is my second review for Number 1 Auto Transport and one that is about two months overdue. I used Number 1 Auto Transport for a second time this past February. My experience with them was again perfect. Joe remembered me and made sure that everything would go off without a hitch. Joe told me exactly when my car would be picked up. The driver who picked up my car called to tell me when he would be coming and then again when he was close by. The driver who delivered my car did exactly the same thing. These guys were pros from beginning to end. Given the nightmare stories in this business, Number 1 Auto Transport is a blessing. I would still give Number 1 my highest possible recommendation. read more

I thought I just posted it but since I don't see it, I am returning to leave a 5 star review on this company. The company ain't paying me a dime (like shady shady AutoStar 123 paying it to Transport Reviews) because Number 1 Auto Transport lives up to its promise and this company doesn't need to. Back to my review... I can only give an honest review on Joe because he is the only one I talked to and the one I dealt with. I have shipped my vehicles over the years 8 times and I have helped ship others' vehicles and have seen all kinds of hell break loose. I know the drill. I know how this transport stuff works. Not a dummy customer but at least with an intermediate knowledge to know who's smoking and releasing crack and nonsense on customers. I'm a business guy so yeah, heck, I smell what's foul and see who is bsing or not. If you are searching and trying to look for the lowest quote and go off of what many shady brokers will promise you with, then don't even bother listening to me and go ahead and see your car sit in your lot and witness the quote eventually sky rocket before your eyes and you'll end up regretting for not trusting genuine yelpers (or keep believing that your driver is still on his way to pick your car up...) Call Joe. Extension 201. I don't know this guy, never met, only talked and dealt over the phone but if we ever come across path, I am going to take him out for a drink to show my appreciation. He says it the way things are, keeps it, and makes sure things are on top of things. This dude is all business and he will take care of you. Stop wasting your time and save yourself from being quoted from lime 50 companies and probably more than 30 are not even from within US. I've done it myself in the past and you can bypass all the trouble or learn it the hard way. If you have ears to listen, call and listen to Joe. And... Number1AutoTransport!Whoever the boss is... you need to either give Joe a raise to keep him or send him on a vacay! Oh and he didn't ask me to do this (dead honest!!!) and Your company is scoring big time because if this dude. Peace out~ read more

I initially hired a broker from U-Ship which posted my car transport for way too low on the trucker board. No drivers would pick up the car since it was posted so low. I cancelled with that company (which they made very difficult) and hired Number 1. Even though No 1 is located in NY and the car was in FL, it did not matter. The drivers like Number 1. Marc was a big help. Once Number 1 posted the car on the board, it was picked up the next day. The driver - Alex - delivered the car on time in perfect condition. We are happy. Thank you Marc, Number 1 & Alex. read more

From the broker to the driver (start to finish)......they get 10 STARS!!!! Very straightforward and honestly folks, you get what you pay for. Phone conversations to contract is very straightforward. The broker spelled it out and it went exactly as promised. The driver and I had direct contact and he kept us apprised. Very pleased and I can advise everyone to read reviews, read the contract and remember "you get what you pay for". We are happy campers. Thank you Number 1 Auto and Luis! read more

I had a great service with them! They picked the car up early! and it was in Florida before me too! No problems or mishaps! My girlfriend used them too and also would highly recommend them! Talk to Stu- He is the # 1 man! read more

Number 1 has given me a partial refund. I think they have earnestly tried to correct the gross neglect of the transporter. To their credit, they have apologized a number of times, and have discontinued using the Step by Step Auto Transport as a result of this incident. I wish none of this ever happened. Regardless of the value of the Porsche, I have always taken great care of the cars I have owned. So, it was not just an expensive car, but an extension of the value I place in motor vehicle ownership. I wish them the best! read more

Like most people, I had basically no idea what the process was regarding getting a car transported. After requesting an online quote, I received hundreds of emails, calls, and texts showing me prices. So the first inclination is to just call back whoever shows you the lowest number. Luckily before I signed anything, I did some brief Googling on good transport companies and was shocked by the results. Clearly some people out there just try to wave a lowball number in your face and hope you bite. Number 1 Auto however, had a very reasonable price and stuck to the price we initially discussed (this tidbit is not to be undervalued). Also, the scheduling and coordinating of the pick up and drop off were very straightforward and timely. No complaints here! read more
