NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use them. I booked my car two months in advance. They canceled on me the day before. They are VERY unreliable and will NEVER answer the phone. They will put you on hold or send you to voicemail. Do yourself a favor and save the headache. Call someone else!! read more

I usually check out reviews, but didn't this time since they claim such great customer satisfaction on their website and go as far as showcasing their celebrity list. ALL the negative reviews are spot on. I wish I had checked out these reviews before pulling the trigger. They missed the requested pick up date, I called to confirm and they promised that it would still happen to wait for their call. They never updated me and came back with a much later date and higher price. Completely unapologetic and obviously used to disappointing their customers and they don't care. It's a shame that you have to be a celebrity to get good service from these guys. Trust the reviews and don't go through the frustration. read more

Looks like this is the only way to get the company's attention. It has been 3 days since the ready date and we still do not have an assigned carrier. We understand it is the holiday season and the date is an estimate but when we were making this booking, the agent never told us any of this. We are at a time crunch and need to leave town tomorrow. Had we known they would never pick up even after 4 days of estimated ready date, we would have chosen other companies that were more receptive to our needs and were ready to pick up our car the same day. Now we are stuck in a situation where we need to leave town and have a car in our driveway. Some honesty and transparency would go a long way. I would change this review if and only if the car gets picked up today. - Dave Fisher read more

our vehicles were picked up on the seventh of June in California and arrived in Minnesota on the 11th! There were some damages to my Jeep but they are paying for it and I would recommend this company! Very professional and friendly! read more

I hope all consumers read this before they book their vehicle transport with this company. I had a reservation booked last week to transport my Jeep Wrangler from Dallas to Houston. I needed to coordinate this carefully because I had to also make the drive to sign the car out and pay for the storage on the same day of pickup. The truck they sent refused to pick up because he "did not have the right equipment". I was called by the tow yard literally as I was pulling back into my driveway after my 3.5 hour drive. I called dispatch and told them that the tow yard said they would not charge me and I didn't have to make the drive back as long as it was picked up before midnight the tomorrow. I called roadrunner and they said they fired that company and would find me another carrier. They sent me another reservation confirmation and when I called them to confirm I was told it wouldn't be picked up till Wednesday. I would have to drive another 7 hours to pay for another day of storage. I pleaded with Jeff and asked him to make this right. He proceeded to blame me because I didn't disclose that my Jeep had a 2.5 inch lift and larger than stock tires. I told him that I have never towed my car before and had no idea that this info was needed. He very rudely told me that I should know my car. I said that they were the transport experts and that they should have asked. He refused to accept responsibility or to attempt to find me a resolution for a Tuesday transport. I hung up on him and called the 888 number. He said he called me back and went to voicemail. That was likely when I was calling the corp number to talk to a supervisor but the number came in as unknown. He then proceeded to cancel my reservation. They had already charged my card and the email said it could take 3-5 days for the refund meanwhile I need to find a new transporter. I called the storage lot and they said the driver refused transport because the only spot he had was on the upper deck and he didn't want to put it up there or rearrange his truck. They said it had nothing to do with the size of my tires! Jeff was the most unprofessional person I have ever dealt with as his paying customer. He will say that I told him to F* himself and I DID....and I would do it again. This was after he cancelled my reservation and told me this was my fault. Buyers be warned. Terrible terrible customer service once you get to dispatch. I have rebooked with another company for tomorrow. Not only did they ask me for pictures of the vehicle but also asked me about mods. Check the BBB reviews...they speak for themselves. Lesson learned here. read more

Absolute, complete nightmare! Avoid, avoid, avoid. After a week of waiting for them to schedule my pickup they called and said they could do it, but it would be $250 more. Bait and switch. I said no, but they wouldn't cancel. After several days of being unable to reach anyone helpful, I called the sales line pretending to be a new customer, and then told the Sal guy not to hang up and to fix my situation. Eventually they scheduled someone for about $200 more. The pickup was late...zero communication. Now I'm waiting for my car to show up and they missed the appointment and there's been zero communication. Horrible company read more

Late picking up our car, can't even tell us when our car will be picked up... very different from what the sales guy told me when he gave me my quote. He told me MONDAY our cars would be PICKED UP. Well, it's Tuesday afternoon and I haven't even received anything indicating my car is actually going to be picked up ever. Don't use this company, don't give them your credit card info. Do not sign anything with this company. They will not answer your calls, they do not give you any information other than they're "working on it" via email. I don't even think they're a real company, I would give them less stars if I could. Now we've paid for a rental (wasted money) and lost time trying to find someone who is actually capable of moving our cars because we stupidly signed a contract with these "people". I mean, what are we supposed to do at this point?? read more

They have bad yelp reviews for a reason. They don't vet your carriers, they don't keep your word, they don't deliver promises or adhere to the contract. I'm expecting my car to be returned to its original pick up location and a FULL refund. It's scheduled delivery date is today and it is still in Florida (original location) sitting on a truck 5 days later. If they would even call me to discuss how to fix this I would have worked with them, but the fact that I have to chase them down shows they don't have an ounce of professionalism. I got one quote and was harassed by this company. After speaking with 3 different reps to ask them to take my name off their call sheet, the last two interrupted me and after i hung up on him, he harassed me with phone calls for 30 minutes. I transported my car from California to Illinois. I saw some awful reviews in here after I already paid for the service so I was scared. I am giving it 3 stars (honestly I would give 3.5 if I could) because some of the things they say in the comments are true. They need to get better at answering the phone. After they got my money it was VERY hard to get someone on the phone. My car also got picked up a day after what they offered initially. However, my car was delivered in good condition, and two days before the estimated date. Given how this car transport industry works, I know It could have been much worst, hence the 3 stars. read more

OMG, I went on their site to get a quote. A man called. I thanked him for his time but said I thought they were high. The man was so rude to me, he actually said "You should have left a fake number" when I was at pains to thank him for his time. Twice I tried to end the conversation by thanking him and he kept arguing and insulting me. Unbelievable. I am soooooo happy I had this experience before actually engaging them. I should add that I was a store owner - which is why I was at pains to be polite - and I'm sure I made many mistakes but the one I did not make was berating my customers. If they said an piece was too expensive, I took the opportunity to explain the product to them so they understood what they would be paying for. The man actually slammed the phone down on me when I tried to say once again that I appreciated his time but I was not prepared to pay the price quoted. I actually never got to say the latter part of that sentence. I don't do business with bullies. read more

Stay far away. I wish I had checked Yelp first. They confirmed my booking and only AFTER that did I get a message with the fine print saying that "ready date" is a suggestion. They do not communicate with you after you have accepted the quote. they have an online chat bot that is fairly sophisticated, so it takes a while to realize you are talking to a bot... but the answer is always the same. Maybe if you have all the time in the world these people are okay, but 3 days after my booking date and completely fed up with their lack of communication I cancelled the booking and they still charged a cancellation fee! I got on the phone with another transport company that promised a pickup date but charged a $200 premium to guarantee the date - the total was still $75 less than what RoadRunner quoted me 4 weeks out from the pickup date! read more

They're great when you want to place an order... someone always picks up after the second ring and is happy and friendly. However, when you want to get an update on an order after your vehicle has been picked up, you get someone who sounds miserable after waiting 2 minutes just for someone to pick up. I wasted a whole Saturday a few days ago after they told me that my vehicle would be on the way. It never showed up. I called, waited another 5 minutes just to get someone who said they'd "forward my request for an update" to the driver and never heard from anyone again. I just called this morning (2 days after the scheduled delivery date), waited another 4 minutes to get "dispatch", and they were absolutely rude when I explained the situation. When I pressed to ask if someone would be getting back to me, the standard response was, "I have forwarded your request." Their prices are good, but once you pay the initial payment- which I'm assuming is their vig, since they're brokers- service level falls right off the map. Your best bet is to go to Uship where you have direct contact with the drivers to get updates if they're running late. read more

I thought I would update you on the terrible process of this company and the people they hire to do a service. This has been going on since 02/01/21. The vehicle was actually picked up on 02/14 by the carrier...was gone for 20 minutes and then I received a call stating they needed to bring the car back because they did not have enough room on their truck. They are fully aware of the vehicle they are picking up and have had ample time to plan for this trip. I called Road Runners and expressed my concern yesterday on 02/15. I was informed they for sure would be picking up the vehicle today on 02/16....that still has not happened. I have already paid $1610 dollars for a service...have paid 200 dollars extra then what I was quoted because the carrier "needs more"...for what? To be jerked around? They state the date of pick up is an estimate...but does this mean it's never going to happen and they can take my money and continue to use that B.S. excuse? Is this real life? Did I mention my father passed away and all I'm trying to do is get his vehicle to me? In a stressful time in my life this company has been nothing but added stress and disappointment. read more

Transport Tracker never changed from Carrier Assignment. I.e. Current Status: Awaiting confirmation that your shipment has been picked up). At the time I am writing this the status has not changed, but the car was finally delivered. Scheduled for Wednesday 6/26 by Z & $ transport. Z & $ could not deliver to my residence. Insisted I go to Walmart 21 miles away. Finally we settled on a parking lot at a bowling alley, but the driver could not off load the vehicle because of an inoperable motor on the transport. After ~ 3 hours standing in a parking lot with ZERO support from Road Runner and Z & S the car was to be taken back to Philadelphia. Road Runner stated that delivery would be made Thursday or Friday. The car was finally dropped to me Friday at ~ midnight 6/28. I submitted a request for assistance in this matter, and the response was unfortunately like I would expect from this service provider... MESSAGE FROM BUSINESS: We sincerely apologize and deeply regret the experience you've had with us. Please review our terms of service attached which states the possibility of the issues you have raised. Unfortunately in the vehicle transportation industry we are susceptible to delays and issues like these with deliveries. Management has reviewed your booking and unfortunately we can not offer any compensation. The carrier assigned to your transport has notified us that the police were called due to unwanted video recording as well as threatening behavior that caused him to feel unsafe while working. Shocking at first...but..makes sense... The carriers driver was going to leave me stranded in the parking lot after being there for ~ 3 hours. I asked where was the address that the car was being taken, and the driver could not provide an address. Said there wasn't one available. I knocked on the door to ask for a ride. The driver declined at which point I asked how he could leave me in the parking lot after all of this time. The temperature was above 90 degrees, and I didn't have a ride. The only reason I was in the parking lot was because the driver was unable to deliver anywhere short of an empty parking lot. Your refusal does not shock me. read more

You get a quote from them, pay for the haul, and then they want extra when you arrange for the actual pickup of your vehicle. Read the reviews on the Better Business Bureau website. Any good reviews on Google are probably fake. Read all of the bad reviews and the "apologies" from this gang of thieves are exactly the same. They are either completely crooked, or don't have any idea what they're doing. I'd bet on crooked from my limited interaction with this gang of thieves. read more

This company is a scam. They claimed to arrange shipment of my car by a certain date, gave me no information in the days ahead, then on the day it was supposed to be picked up, notified me that it would be picked up 3 days later, after I was supposed to have moved. Their support people said there was nothing they could do and basically I was s**t outta luck. And then after screwing me over, they charged my credit card the full amount for a service they did not provide! read more

Unprofessional. Gave me a quote, I told them I had a less expensive quote, they hung up on me. Called back to find out why I was hung up on, was hung up on again. I'll just echo what has already been adequately covered here: AVOID THIS OUTFIT. They gave a two hour window for pick up, and four hours PAST the last pick up time I still had no update. Then, just as I was on the phone to cancel, someone drives down my driveway in a beat up Bronco pulling a trailer. What?? I had specifically told them on the phone and in writing NOT to bring the trailer down the driveway because there is nowhere to turn around. But if I had seen the beat up piece of crap they expected me to let them load my Rolls-Royce into, it wouldn't have mattered. Customer service on the phone: useless and uninterested. read more

I do not recommend road runner transport i booked on the 16th of December to have my vehicle shipped to Palm Springs by January 6th. Communication is non existent. On Monday the 27th I reached out online with concerns that my 29th pickup date did not have a carrier assigned .... Everyday I reached out with the same Pat response. I really don't care about their fine print. The agent I booked with told me my pickup date would be the 29th. It is now Jan 2 and I still have my vehicle. I fly out in two days and will now have to rent a car. I can understand a day or at most two off the mark. I am actively looking for a new carrier company so I can cancel this one also, once you book... it becomes impossible to call and get a representative . They tell you call volume is high and then eventually disconnect you . I've read prior reviews and the owner always reached out and wants to be Teflon stating about dates and quotes being tenuous. Perhaps this is unreasonable, but my expectation is that a car transport service would be able to offer a few things - accessible customer service and reasonable guarantees about pickup and delivery. Time and time again I've found RoadRunner to be lacking on these to basic deliverables. Almost three months ago I booked a cross-country vehicle delivery and after bi-weekly calls to get confirmation with RoadRunner they've been unable to provide any guarantees about pickup (it's now 4 days until the agreed upon pickup). There have also been many many calls when either a) nobody picked up the phone, or b) they were unable to find my order at all. If possible, I'd recommend finding a provider that can meet the basic deliverables above. Don't be fooled by RoadRunner's high placement on Google due to their ad purchases. read more

Terrible Terrible experience. Now my brand new car was left with a scratch after the transport. DO NOT use this transport company unless you don't mind having a few scratches or dents on your car. Not only does this company overcharge, they also try to sell you additional insurance that covers "anything" that happened to your car during transport. I was naive enough to believe that and paid additional ~$150 for insurance. Then it happened. My bumper was deeply scratched during the transport. And when I filed the claim with a video that I took prior to transport which clearly showed that the scratch was not there, this company still denied my insurance claim and falsely accused that it was a pre-existing condition. They were lightening-fast to take your money and set you up with an auto transport. But when shits go down, bad things happened and you want to file insurance for it, they will transfer you to the "claim department" and put you on a forever hold, which eventually will take you to a voice mailbox. Despite how many times you call them or leave voice mails, they will NOT call you back. Thought about emailing them? Nope, they won't reply you either. Only a month later, they will send you an email and say your claim has been denied. Then they disappear for good. Be aware. They will trick you into signing a Bill of Lading that helps them 100% in case shits happen. You will not have a chance of winning any claims for damages. read more

No one answered my calls or emails. I finally got in touch with a online rep. She assured everything was on track. Come Monday NOTHING! Spent 3 hours trying to get ahold of the company as they had my card info... so to play there high volume game I used my spouses phone to put in a quote on a different car. Within 30 minutes someone contacted me. I told him before he could pick up this car he needed to pick up my first car. ThAt was suppose to leave today. He then hangs up on me!!! Total shit company! I wonder this middle-man company is running a website service scam or as an auto transport company. Yes, you would get an instant quote and a nice web interface but nothing else. Once, you are bound to a legal contract you are pretty much ignored. If RoadRunner Auto Transport can't locate a willing carrier, you are pretty much screwed to the last minutes. Do not use them, terrible business practices. They quoted us and were to pick up our truck today. One hour before our scheduled time they called to say they were so busy they couldn't do it today and couldn't even tell us when they would be able to because so many people are transporting their autos due to COVID-19. However, if we paid a premium of an additional $145 they would divert one of their trucks and we would still meet our schedule. Hold on, last week I got a quote and booked on your schedule. I signed up for YELP in 2012. In the 9 years since then I've never felt compelled to write a bad review about ANY business ... until now. It's been a month since I booked RoadRunner to ship a car from California to New York (which still hasn't happened). I finally had enough and cancelled today. My experience was as follows: 1) Booking was seamless and easy- the price they quoted was better than other companies. That said- it doesn't mean anything. When we got around to confirming a date the price went up $200. The explanation was basically that the carriers want more money than what RoadRunner quoted. 2) They basically never pick up the phone. After you've booked if you want to speak with anyone live it's a crapshoot- 75% of the time you will sit on hold until you're disconnected. You can use an online chat where you will speak with people who (while they seem like they're friendly and trying to help) are unable to give you any actual information. 3) Last week a truck finally attempted to pick up my car- which was positive since it was difficult to even get to this point. I had to drive to meet the truck somewhere (despite being told this is door to door) and the driver informed me he couldn't take my car because it had a roof rack on it. RoadRunner never told me about this. 4) I rebooked for yesterday and waited all day for a truck to arrive. Roadrunner assured me they would come sometime that day, and the driver would call in advance with a pickup window. I followed up with Roadrunner in the afternoon after hearing nothing- they assured me pickup would happen and there were no reported delays. Driver never called. Truck never came. When I spoke (via chat) with someone at RoadRunner today they told me it was actually a 48 hour pickup window and I finally cancelled. The silver lining here is that the experience of working with Roadrunner is so uniquely frustrating that in many ways it's funny... but if you're trying to ship a car definitely stay away from these guys. read more

This was the absolute worst customer experience ever. Made arrangements for our car to be shipped out of state to where we are moving. The day of the scheduled pick up we called to see what time they were coming and were told that the date we scheduled was just an estimate. After a dozen phone calls and waiting on the phone for an extended amount o time, with no call backs, we were eventually told that they could pick it up in a few days at an additional cost of $500. I recently used RoadRunner Auto Transport and my experience was simply AWFUL. My advice is do not use this service! The delivery of our vehicle which was supposed to happen on June 8, not only was delayed several times, I ended up driving over 30 miles to pick it up from the truck on the night of June 13. I was never informed by the company of any of the delays until I reached out to them to find out the status of our delivery. Their online tracking service is absolutely useless and provides no meaningful information. If they had proactively reached out to me I could have made other arrangements to get my vehicle much earlier than June 13.
