we scheduled our pickup date 2 months in advance so the car would be available when we arrived at our final destination. The car was picked up 4 days after the planned date and we were charged an additional $300 because they could not find a carrier for the original price they charged us. The whole process was a mess and a headache. Would not recommend using the service and would advise to work with a shipper directly. read more

Run Run from Road Runner! The day before they were scheduled to pick up my car they called to say that the price would now be $200 more. They asked if I would accept this. I didn't have a choice. They say they provide door to door service. They said they couldn't fit on my street. I told them not true. Movers were at my home with an 18 wheeler packing me up. They eventually showed up. A friend was receiving the delivery for me. They said they couldn't come to her house either. She was to meet them in a church parking lot. She waited for over an hour. They then sent her via text an Aerial view of a parking lot. She asked where they were in that parking lot and they told her to figure it out on google. She drove around until she found the small truck only hauling 2 cars. It would have fit on the street no problem. She lost all that work time. I had tried to call concerning my pickup. After 20 minutes the call was picked up then immediately hung up. I called again put the phone on speaker. After an hour I hung up. read more

After speaking to the customer service representative I would not recommend. I have been calling around to several places to get pricing as well as online quotes. This guy calls me up dosent even say hi or the company he is from. He proceeds to tell me price then I tell him I need tow for tomorrow and he says I you won't get service due to late reservation. Be then wouldn't you know there is a tow avaliable. I had just spoken to my insurance so I ask where did you get my number from thinking they may have given my number out or something. And he laughs and says with additude you contacted us this is roadrunner auto towing. I still being the well mannered person tell him I actually have towing now and he hangs up in my face. If you would speak to me that way God only knows how the drivers would handle my vehicle. Please do not accept bad customer service it will most always lead to to bad service. Anthony at roadrunner spoke to us on the phone after another carrier stranded us. I explained EXPLICITLY that we had a backup rent a car and we were on a ship traveling and that if he could not make the date we would use the backup. He sends us a contract for a date after the date we needed after I told him we were traveling and only if he could make the date to book shipping. He sends us contract for date AFTER agreed upon conversation, I had called and called him NO ANSWER OR RETURN, the company they hired tried also, NO answer, called Nick with customer service, NO HELP, said I signed contract, I explained that I spoke with Anthony and explained to him if he couldn't make the date not to take job, that we didn't have cell service once on boat, spent another 100 in international calls trying to call anthony, he still hasn't answered me and Nick didn't care or even try to hold his employee responsible for the conversation, I would never trust a company that operated like this, he has now cost us thousands and RUINED our Yellowstone vacation days and our car still sits in Florida. read more

Omg. Reviews are sometimes misleading but before you book with this company and do yourself a favor. Call ANY of their numbers besides sales and see if they every answer. The answer is no. Why is this important? When they pick up your car (which will be late or never) you will call to see when they are coming, to which no one will ever answer. Then if your car gets picked up you will go to their "tracking" page which will be unavailable. Then you might call to see where you car is which no one will answer. Then you might frantically call every number you can find for them which no one will answer. I'm convinced this company is just some guy in his garage who is too busy smoking pot than to do anything besides take your money, pay some other company to drive it for a little less, and make some money off the top. I was honestly close to calling to the cops to report my car stolen. This is honestly the worst run company I have ever done business with and I don't say that lightly. If you are reading this review its probably because you too are worried your car is never showing up now you are scouring the internet, reading their horrible reviews and looking for answers. At least for me they did end up delivering. And to the "owner" who may reply to me. Don't bother, I don't want to hear whatever lie you will say about sorry about me being I satisfied. You're company is horrible and you know it. If you offered me a free transport anywhere in the US I wouldn't take it. That's how bad your company is read more

This has been the worst experience I've ever had. I chose this company because I was told that my quote was a locked in price (I have emails to prove it), and that they use their own reliable network of carriers (as opposed to posting the route on a public bid site). Both of those things are false. I was told I would get a carrier likely the week before, and it wasn't until I was on the phone upset with everyone THE DAY BEFORE, that I finally got a carrier, but of course for a higher price. When they were supposed to pick up the next day and I hadn't heard anything, I called again, only to find out my carrier canceled. Now I have a second carrier, for even MORE money, picking up two days late and now arriving two days late. And since then I cannot get anyone on the phone, no response to emails, no supervisor call back after leaving voicemails. Do not deal with these people. They are liars and unreliable. Response to your reply: yea so no, that has not been my experience at all. I was explicitly told that what set you guys apart, is the locked in price. And as I already stated, I have emails from the broker to prove it. Your customer service is as useless as the company. read more

If I could give negative stars, I would. My father-in-law was to have his car transported across the country, but my story is no different than the others. Nobody answers the phone unless you choose the option to request a pick-up. When they learn you're inquiring about a current pick-up, they put you on hold until it goes to voicemail. That's the only time you're able to speak with anyone and even at that, it's only for a moment with no results. Needless to say, we will be using someone else and go through the proper legal channels to recoup monies spent. I see companies go under and feel bad for owners and employees. I will rejoice to see this place go under and everyone is gone. What a joke. And John S. or Michael P., keep your auto response to yourself. Don't insult my intelligence. You people are worthless. read more

I somehow got a random email (to an old email address) from this place saying that they left me a voicemail (not true) about the relocation of my car. I have never visited their website before or have had any interest in ever relocating my car. It showed my city and year, make, and model of my car so naturally I called the number on their website confused. Immediately, the guy on the phone is yelling at me that I DID visit their website wanting to move my car to another state and kept yelling OVER ME when I was trying to explain that I did not do that. Then, he turns it on me and says "Then apparently you just give out all your information to people" very rudely. He never told me his name but immediately knew mine when I never told it to him. I was in the middle of a move shipping my car. Expect to pay $200-300 more than the quote they give you. Insurance is an additional 90-100. I have used this company twice. They are a transport broker. My most recent experience with them resulted in receiving a damaged car. They instantly denied the claim. Listen to the review below. I wished I would have seen them. This company does a bait-and-switch. I contacted RoadRunner to move my mother's vehicle from Oklahoma to Georgia. My mother has dementia and can no longer drive and I am managing all of her affairs as an only child. The whole situation is stressful, but RoadRunner made it worse. I scheduled my pick-up about three weeks ahead of time as I knew I would need to fly from Georgia to Oklahoma to meet the carrier and manage the process. I called several times to confirm. The day before I thought the car was to be picked up, I get a text that a carrier was assigned and to call dispatch. I called and they said they cannot pick up the car until Saturday (the day I fly back to Georgia) and the price is now $995 versus the $665 they quoted me and sent in writing. I cancelled. Fudge these people and the scam they are on. First, if you can't stick to a date, you need to go out of business. If you can't quote an accurate price you need to go out of business. read more

Stay away from this company. It has been 3 weeks since i placed my order. I finally get a conformation for pickup. I call to confirm and they say oops, you have a Raptor pickup and would call me back in an hour to confirm with the trucking company. Crickets, I call the salesman Jonathan, 2 messages, nothing. I call him back on another line and he calls me right back but i was on another line and it goes to VM, so he is purposely not calling me back. They are horrible to get a hold of and when i did get someone via the chat function on their website, they were less than helpful. No "Sorry for the delay" just a "we are working on your shipment. What I found out from other trucking companies is that they underbid the load and no truck will take it for the rate quoted. All they had to do is call me an be honest and I would have got it done. It feels like these a few young people with a good website but have no clue how to run a business. Stay away from these people. Update: I have been trying to call them, Email them and go on the online chat to cancel my order and nothing. The phone number number puts you on hold and then comes back after 10 minuets and says go to the web chat and hangs up. Again, smells of a very small operation. I shipped a car with them from Oregon to Illinois, it was over two weeks late (not due to weather). I've never had such bad service along with lack of customer service. I called every day to get an update with almost no update from them, I believe they called me back once. The driver of the truck stated 'this hauler should not be on the road' as it had broken down 4 times causing the delay. After talking to them again after the car had finally been delivered they said they do not offer refunds, even though they have sent an embarrassing refund of $25 dollars to my $1500+ bill. The WORST. I mean WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. After booking and paying for the transportation of a classic car RoadRunner went silent. They refused to return my phone calls, emails, online messaging. There was zero communication to the seller / pickup contact or drop off contact whatsoever. After waiting for 45+ min to speak with the booking agent I was told "I don't work that department" "I understand your frustration but I have to go back to work.".... No help at all. I wish I had looked this up on Yelp before committing to these people. This place is a SCAM! Apparently they do this to every one of their customers. I reserved the pick up of the vehicle, committed, and arranged for the owner of the truck to wait for the transport. It was a NO SHOW! ANY ATTEMPT to contact them was a waste of time. They don't answer the phone, they don't reply to emails, and they do not care at all. Craig, the guy who set up my account is no where to be found. How can a company built on such scam still survive? My name is Bryan Jones. I had been working with Steve @ 888-777-2123, Ext 582 since Oct 2017, to book transportation for my 1967 Mustang. On 15 May 2018, I completed my booking and was provided booking # R226409. I made it very clear to Steve that I was taking time off of work to fly from Las Vegas, NV to St. Louis, Mo, where the car was located so those dates had to be accurate. Steve assured me that the truck would be at the location of my car on 1 June 2018 after 2pm with a backup date of 2 June 2018. 1 Jun 2018: @ 6pm: I attempted to call Roadrunner with no luck. I kept getting the option to leave a voicemail after being on hold for 3 min. Finally, I was able to get through, but only to learn there was no truck scheduled to pick up my car. 2 Jun 2018: I started calling again after 11am. Finally, about 1:30pm I was able to get through. I spoke with Pam who informed me that Roadrunner still had not been able to assign a truck to pick up my vehicle and it most likely, would not be until Monday or Tuesday before my vehicle would be scheduled for pickup. Minimal customer service would have dictated that Steve at least call me to let me know there was not truck to pick up my vehicle and my second concern is there is no acceptable excuse or reason why there was no truck when I scheduled this on 15 May 2018 (16 Days before 1 Jun 18). Today is Tuesday 5 Jun 2018, @ 1200 noon Central Standard Time and NO ONE FROM ROADRUNNER has contacted me. The lack of communication Roadunner has displayed with me, its customer is very unacceptable. Steve from Roadrunner guaranteed me 2 dates for pickup which never occurred and two days after this EPIC FAIL, no one had the curtesy to contact me with an update or compensate me for the day I took time off from work, or for the cost of the plane ticket I bought to fly from NV to MO and back. It is critical that I'm there when my car is picked up so I can document (take video and pictures) of the new paint job and newly upholstered seats at that time of shipping. Well....It's obvious that Roadrunner Auto Transport DOES NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS, OR AT LEAST ME, A US AIR FORCE RETIRED VET! read more

I know COVID and things taking longer but not communicating with your customers is unacceptable! When calling your customer service number I sat on hold for 5 plus minutes before a recording said due to high call volume I would need to call back and hung up on me. I tried calling back three times at different times during the day and still could not get through. You won't answer the emails that I sent to "representatives". The only communication is online chat and that is horrible. I booked March 8 and it's March 18 and you all still haven't found a carrier for my vehicle. No communication from your company about the wait etc. 10 days of waiting with no communication from your company! When I finally cancelled with your company you all didn't even get that right. You cancelled my order but didn't remove me from your dispatch list therefore the new company I hired had to wait to get my car... I tried to call your company again no answer. I went online chat and asked why this happened? The response was literally the same copy paste that they need more time?? I don't even have a contract with you anymore why do you need more time? Remove me from your dispatch list! Ugh, I'm sorry, but this has been some of the worse customer service I've seen. Have a nice day. Answer your phones sometimes... read more

~~~~~~~ URGENT: RED FLAG PLEASE READ ~~~~~~~ Booked transport for a vehicle from AZ to PA - verified the holiday wouldn't interfere with the 6-8 days shipping time and was assured the holiday would not cause delays. Raptor Auto Transport was assigned carrier confirmed to pick-up on Sat 7/1 - no call, no show. Nothing on Sunday either, sent an email to Roadrunner late Sunday. An entire holiday weekend wasted waiting for a drive that never showed. On Mon, 7/3 rec'd an email from Roadrunner driver was coming... didn't arrive until 6pm... Day 3 gone and wasted. Excited that he even arrived, let it go and driver confirmed vehicle would arrive by Sat 7/8 (UGH, already arriving a day later than planned, too bad it was picked up 2 1/2 days late, but ok only a day late). Saturday 7/8 no call, no show only to discover Roadrunner is closed on Sundays - we are boiling at that point. ~~ TODAY IS WED 7/12 ~~~ Our vehicle has STILL NOT arrived in PA and we can't get anyone to tell us where it is. NOT once, did Roadrunner or Raptor reach out to let us know it would be late! I will be diluting with my bank to see if I can get any money back since they refused to do so. I have used RoadRunner twice now and both experiences weren't great and I find their business practices to be incredibly fraudulent. Both times I used them they used the same speech when the carrier was assigned that "sometimes the price changes" and charged me $250 more than quoted the first time and $500 more the second time. They also did not assign a carrier until day of the first time and FOUR days late the second time. By doing this, they know that most people are up against a deadline or without other choices so they can get away with charging more money. I have read the contract several times and never had any indication that more money could be charged. In addition, I wasn't able to get ahold of them for most of the FOUR days they were late in picking up my car and the lack of communication was incredibly frustrating. read more
I do not usually write reviews, but i need to share my horrible experience with Road Runner. When I was shopping around for quotes at the beginning of June, Road Runner seemed the most cost effective. I told the customer service rep on the phone that I needed my car picked up no later then 6/28 as we were flying out on 6/29. He assured me that this was not going to be a problem. By the time RR found a carrier and sent me a confirmation, the date of pick up was listed as 6/29. I called back and told them that this was incorrect. The lady I spoke to on the phone was rude and unhelpful and stated that they do not guarantee pick up dates and could only provide estimates. I asked her to please cancel that booking and look for a different shipper which she did so begrudgingly. Fast forward to a week later, and I still have not heard back from RR. I'm starting to panic as our move out date is next week. I called RR 3 days in a row and all calls went straight to voicemail, I left multiple messages, even emailed two different reps to get an update. NOTHING. Thank God a Yelper left a number on his review to cancel the service. (If you need that number it is 888-574-6638). Miraculously someone picked up and I told him that I wanted to cancel. He asked why and I told him my concerns, he apologized and wanted to remedy the situation by looking for a carrier. At this point, I was fed up and given that we need to move out of state in a week, I did not want to take the chance. I ended up paying a more with another company that could guarantee a pick up date. I advise you to do some research on Road Runner. They may charge less than other carriers, but you get what you pay for. Once you've booked and they have your credit card number, goodluck trying to get a hold of someone. If Road Runner would just do something as simple as answer their phones and clearly communicate with their customers, they wouldn't have so many negative reviews. read more
Overall a good experience with Roadrunner. They had the best price to ship one of my cars from Nashville to LA. From the time they picked up my car and delivered it was around 5 days. The reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that I had booked the transport over a month before we were moving. As we got to our move date they had still not assigned a carrier and I found it hard to get ahold of anyone to tell me when they would pick up the car. We ended up having to leave our car with a friend and head to LA. Had we not been in that situation of having a friend to leave the car with, we would have had to delay our move a few days which would have disrupted other parts of the move. That was the main issue, all else was good and whenever I spoke to anyone they were very helpful. read more
This company is absolutely unbelievable.  I'm not quite sure how they can stay in business with their deplorable customer service, which results in near-fruadulent business practices. I needed to transport my lease-purchased car from my company in Ohio to California.  After the prompt call to quote and take my money, they disappeared. When I was finally able to get in touch with their team, they set up a pick up date for me.  I scheduled to fly out to Ohio from California to complete the pick up.  For the several consecutive days leading up to the pick-up, I tried calling (no answer, no returned call), emailing  (no response), and using their website  (no response for several days) to confirm the time with no luck.  When the date came, they were a no-show. On the day that I was scheduled to fly back to the west coast, I received a call, with the person nonchalantly saying they would be there the next day to pick up the car!  So, I flew across the country just for them to snub the appointment and reschedule on a date that I wasn't there. And, they had the guts to tell me that the carrier they found needed more money so they would be charging me another 100 bucks for the transport...really?!? When they were finally able to reschedule a date for when a friend would be around for the pick up, they sent a note with another "tentative" pick up date.  As in before, I have tried to call and email with absolutely no luck.  The pick up is scheduled for tomorrow, and all I can hope for is that I don't waste a friend's entire day waiting for these people. Shame on me for not reading these Yelp reviews before I gave them my money. Shame on Roadrunner for operating a scam which aims to swindle hard-earned money from innocent people. read more
This will be an important phone number for you if you are reading this: (888) 574-6638 is the number to call to cancel their service. The gentleman I spoke with HUNG UP ON ME just like "Tom G." said in his review here after I asked the logical question as to what I would do or who I would call if the transport didn't show up on the date specified (because they may not be answering phones given my experience).
